"When I need a half-day escape I head to Lake Travis, a reservoir built in 1942 about 30 minutes from the city by car that spans roughly 30 square miles and offers swimming, hiking, biking, zip-lining, picnicking, boating, and rentals (canoes and kayaks are around $15 USD per hour); there are also motorboats and nearby accommodation options if I want to stay longer." - Matthew Kepnes
So close by and sooooo beautiful đ for vacation or just an amazing getaway đ

Beautiful lake, it's best to go on a boat here with friends or family. The scenery is really relaxing and calm. There are barely any trees on the shore, so it's pretty clear overall. It does get quite cold, so definitely bring some warm fleece sweaters. Sunsets are the most beautiful here.

Great reservoir lake with lots of parks and activities. Checkout the Oasis for restaurants, shops and a gorgeous view of the lake. Stay until sunset for a beautiful scenery.
