"These crystal-clear waters, served by both the sea and thermal springs, maintain a year-round 28C and allow underwater life to flourish to the point of distraction: garra rufa fish provide a natural pedicure while the Paranemonia vouliagmeniensis, a local sea anemone, is a visual delight. Entrance to the lake is costly but can be combined with lunch or dinner on the wooden deck overlooking the water. If you’re feeling active, choose between aqua aerobics, hiking or snorkelling."

We had an amazing experience here! The doctor fish were incredibly therapeutic, they took a little bit to get used to but once I did it was so fun. It was really an awesome unique experience! Our waitress Olga was incredibly attentive and made our entire experience amazing! Thank you especially for Olga! We also had several drinks and food all of which were delicious! The service was also very nice and fast, I highly recommend checking the lake out on your visit to Greece!

This place is just suuuuper cool👍👍 Enjoyed it just a to the beginning of March, sunny weather. Sun is very warm, but not burning, temperature in the lake is very refreshing. Lake is surrounded by the high rocks, so there is no wind there, just a smooth breeze. All what you need on weekend!! and it is very close to Athens 👍

i dont care how much time are you staying in Athens. This is a MUST experience. This feels like the highest luxury resort. The place is super clean, maintained and serene. The water is clear and the views are perfect. Overall amazing experience

Absolutely terrible experience. The venue is presented as a relaxing calm atmosphere. Upon arrival it’s actually rather chaotic. There is a level of ambiguity regarding if online ticket holders can go in or need to check in prior. We ended up figuring it out that’s fine. Our party booked the sun bed set. Comes with two chairs and an umbrella right by the water. Unfortunately upon arrival they informed us we would not be able to open our umbrella due to strong winds and gusts. We kindly asked if there was an upgrade available that we could purchase to ensure we had a shady spot. Their solution was cancel our current reservation and purchase general admission to potentially find a first come first serve spot. Since the confirmation message did include a disclaimer about inclement weather there really is no predicting the scenario. However I think there needs to be a little clarification in terms of what constitutes strong. Take a look at the video and judge for yourself if you’d be upset.

Really beautiful and relax place! The water is still a little cold in May, but can swim already. The biting fishes are cute:) Very friendly and high efficiency employees und system. The massage is also great, but needs to book in advance. Food is simple but acceptable. We enjoyed a really relax and great day there.

Beautiful lake and very well kept. Came here on a Sunday in March and was surprisingly quiet! Very relaxing and water is lovely. One star less because the prices are a bit excessive (reduced student rate was still 17€ for weekend, 14€ for weekday, and 17€ weekday full price). Additionally the restaurant prices are ridiculous (5€ for a coffee!!??). It’s a shame, because I’d love to come back more often but the price is too high. I know it’s to maintain the lake, but it’s way too much for Greece

✨A hidden gem just 20 km from Athens✨ Nestled at the foot of Mount Hymettus, Lake Vouliagmeni is a natural wonder — a sunken cave whose roof collapsed, creating a stunning thermal lagoon right at the base of a rocky cliff. 🐠 Nature’s own fish spa! Tiny Garra Rufa fish gently exfoliate your skin as you relax in the warm, mineral-rich waters (kept naturally between 21–29 °C year-round). 🌞 Perfect spot to relax: sunbathe, swim, or just unwind on the stone shore surrounded by dramatic cliffs and lush pine-covered slopes. A true retreat, just outside the city. 🥐 Feeling hungry? Right by the lake, there’s a cozy restaurant and bar (like Nerō or abraOvata), where you can enjoy refreshing summer cocktails — including the classic Aperol Spritz — paired with savory pastries, light snacks, or fresh coffee under the Greek sun. 🍹 Aperol Spritz by the lake — can it get any better? Combine that with sunset views, warm water, and the healing touch of nature — and you’ve got yourself a perfect little getaway.

Lake right next to the coast. Great for swimming and sun bathing. Don’t forget your swim suit. The shore line there is marvelous as well. You just cross the street and go from one to the other. About 45min from Akropolis using metro and bus service at about 1,20 euro for the ride. Access to the lake is charged for. Like going to the swimming pool. With nice bar and restaurant next to it, and many more along the shore. Great day trip away from the city.
