Beautiful lake. Beautiful blue, clear water. While we did not do a boat tour around the lake, we did walk around and really enjoyed the serenity of this lake. Beautiful mountains sit flush to the mountain and you really feel like you're living in a postcard.

Gorgeous, pristine, clear this lake is gorgeous! If you get a chance to really explore outside if Queenstown, it's worth it!

Lake Wakatipu (try saying that 5 times fast) is a beautiful lake where Queenstown and other settlements sit. It's a glacial lake and the water is in pristine condition. New Zealand is the only place that I have ever seen water so clear you can see straight to the bottom. I highly recommend a visit to see it for yourself!

Was lucky enough to see the lake from the air as we return from Milford sound. Stunning as the views are from the road, the view from the air is spectacular. You realize that the blue changes shade in different parts of the lake. Incredible views.

Absolutely gorgeous - the water here is a completely different shade of blue than I have ever seen! Absolutely worth a stop.
