This wasn't a great experience and I'd recommend not checking this place out if you're a day spa guest. Upon checking in, I had to ask them where to go/what to do as it was my first time there (which they knew because they asked me). The steam room and dry sauna in the lockerooms were tiny and not functioning well. The showers did not have body wash or conditioner (both bottles empty) and there was a cup on the floor all day that was never picked up by the staff. The treatment specialist didn't communicate well and was very rough during my massage, as I had to ask multiple times to ease up so it wasn't relaxing for me. The pool was dirty, the grounds are mostly blocked off for overnight guests, and the lunch was underwhelming. Given how much this treatment was ($600 with fees/taxes), I'd say it was not worth it and likely wont return without significant upgrades.

Google
The best spa in Austin! Hands down. Worth the money and so relaxing. Meal is included in spa reservation as well. The outdoor pool is so perfect in the summer. Go and spend the whole day

This was our 2nd trip, LakeHouse Spa, and it didn't disappoint!! The half day away package was a great option for a weekend getaway! The staff is great, and you instantly feel serene when walking through the front doors! We left feeling relaxed, soothed, and well taken care of! The coconut scrub and mango body butter massage is great! Our masseuse's were attentive to our areas and had great recommendations to continue our wellness journey after our visits.

Elegant surroundings at calm, quiet and peaceful Lake Austin. Splendid nature, pools and TX Hill Country setting. Not impressed by lunch or portions but pleased at the ability to enjoy a cocktail outside. Services were par but not quite as upscale as expected or received at similarly priced premium resort spas. Facilities were clean & sanitary. Facial was not as thorough nor was massage as rigorous as expected. Nice that they offered a discount on products if purchased same day. Complimentary gift bag was missing items and just “sorry we’re out” despite using a half-day spa certificate. Go for a service and enjoy glorious Texas nature in abundance as that was 5 ⭐️ star.

Google
Too bad there is not a 3.5 rating. The staff gets a 6, they are amazing! The room gets a 2.5 (the rooms are very small, there is only one comfortable chair to lounge, the TV is older so you're not able to connect your laptop hdmi without taking the TV off the wall, for example) and the old bathroom style (no glass walk in shower and the toilet area is very small, so small that I accidentally bumped the picture that was directly to the side of the toilet with my shoulder and it fell to the floor, for example.) The spa gets a 4 but could get less. I've been here twice in 4 months, and both times, the men's steam room was out of order. The food is fantastic, and the portions are perfect for those wanting to stay at a healthy weight. Overall, it's too pricey, massages are too expensive, and the wine is off the chart expensive for two examples. You can stay at Sandals in Jamaica cheaper per night. Alas, we will return, but only when there is a great special discount to make it worth it.

Google
The good: Beautiful grounds Friendly staff Restaurant on site/food comes with day packages The bad: At these prices it would have been nice for them to inform us that the sauna and steam room were not working, since those are part of the packages Also, I feel like it would be nice to receive a free champagne or a mimosa as most other spas (and hotels do) upon arrival. Even most nail places do this when you first enter. For a place of this caliber they might secret shop their competitors to stay on top of the excellent competition. I would still give it four stars due to the friendly staff and the grounds. I’ve had better facials and massages but I can not say that they performed poorly, just not the best that I’ve experienced. I feel like preferences in massages and facials vary widely with individuals.

My friend and I were really excited to spend one of our days in Austin at this "award-winning Luxury Spa." Maybe the experience is different for resort guests, but as a day spa guest, this place is not worth the price tag. The "grounds" for day spa guests consists of one outdoor pool, one outdoor hot tub, and one indoor lap pool. We were confused about the lack of a sauna so we asked around and eventually found a small sauna and steam room, and a whirlpool in the ladies locker room. We added on a body treatment, which was the high point of the day for me. The hydro circuit is not a true hydro circuit. There are two "cold plunge" tubs located outside, but one didn't get below 70 degrees because of the Texas sun, so my friend and I shared a tub (one had an umbrella over it). They also don't have a hot tub or sauna in the room to complete the circuit. We were told, "you could take a hot shower." After the hydro circuit, we had booked the wellness loungers. We were told while laying down that there was someone else doing the hydro circuit in the same room, "but don't worry. These are noise canceling headphones. You won't hear a thing." Well, we didn't hear anything from the guests in the room, but unfortunately the wellness loungers are right next to the front desk and the door to the lab was left open. Our entire session was ruined by the two men up front talking. When they asked how our session was, we told them and were met with wide eyes and open mouths. When we checked out for the day, we weren't even comped for the ruined sessions, but were offered some face cream and an apology. I will say that the snacks and lunch were delicious. All told, my friend and I both spent over $600 here. Maybe I'm spoiled because I live next to a nordic spa and have access to their huge grounds for $125/day, but I would not waste money here again.

Google
This place is so serene and peaceful! We went for a staycation for a couple of days and the resort treated us really well. The food was fresh - farm to table and so good. We went during the summer and while it was hot, the lake cooled us off with the activities they had - paddleboarding, kayaking, boating etc. Loved that the resort is also dog friendly. My dog was so spoiled the whole time and they fed her rice and chicken/steak everyday. Would definitely come back!!

Yelp
LakeHouse Spa is lovely. I got a day package for two, "My Guy and I", which included a couple's massage and facial. This package also gave full access to all the amenities, unlimited snacks, and included a lunch. This was one of the best massages and facials that I've had. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is truly a place where you can come and relax. After receiving my services and enjoying a filling lunch, I took a nap by the pool. Again, it was lovely!

Yelp
The quality of their service has gone down. We were offered a plastic spoon to eat our lunch with ( a salmon salad, ha), then when I inquired about a fork, he came back with a real fork but like ten to fifteen minutes later, while I stared at my lunch. Nobody came around at the pool to offer a drink or anything until we inquired. We were looked at with a blank face when we asked what else they had to drink besides water, after being told they were out of bubble water. It was just disappointing for the day pass price of $250pp, and a little embarassing since i picked it out for our group. None of this would normally bother me, I'm a pretty patient guest, but it's not the quality of service expected at a place like that for that price!

Yelp
Had a great time at LakeHouse Spa today for a facial, complimentary champagne and a stroll through the grounds. Staff was friendly, facial seemed solid and the property was a nice hidden gem outside of the city. They also do day passes if you want to hang out by the pool and chill in the blue room. Could be a nice getaway and/or a remote place to work.

Yelp
Post facial and using new products. I have had the HydraFacial at another medical spa in California and it was incredible. Your skin is luminous and I didn't wear any makeup for two weeks other than a little blush and lip tint.

Yelp
Okay, my experience here was 10/10 WONDERFUL! My friends & I went for my birthday & utilized the day so experience. it was an amazingly peaceful experience. The lunch was so tasty and all you can eat since it was included in the price. The pools were clean and not full at all. We went on a Tuesday morning. Perhaps my favorite spot was the blue room. It was so relaxing and I enjoyed a good book over tea & snacks with a beautiful view of the hills. I will definitely be back! Loved this place so much!

Yelp
I have been going to Lake House Spa for at least 15 years.. Today I went for the first time in about a year and a half. I was so so disappointed. While the massage was fine, it was not awesome. Not the fault of the therapist, they were great , I chose wrong. I was very underwhelmed . For a $55.00 day use fee you would think you would have access to the whole property. Not the case. You no longer have access to the lake so taking a walk along the lake and sitting in a hammock is no longer an option. I have always been able to get to the lake. I asked the young lady at the desk about that and she said that the lake has never been open to day users. SHE IS WRONG. Now for the food, lunch was included, great I thought, nope. Not even edible. Nasty. So sad. Thankfully I had gift certificates. I will think twice about going any time soon. Oh and the dry sauna wasn't even working.

Yelp
Disappointing. Almost $600 for a half day at an outdated spa where the providers skimp on service time, food is unimpressive, and overall vibe from staff is just lacking. This place really needs some facility updates to match the price tag. Also, the estheticians pushing products and having you "exit through the gift shop" is extremely tacky.

Yelp
Great spa day for a couple! We took part in the cold plunge, massage and flute and float class. It was super fun all around, food was great and service was awesome. Felt well taken care of and will be back!

Megan M.

Yelp
Amazing and relaxing environment! Loved my treatment from Jessika. She took the time to hear my concerns and actually recommended a chemical peel instead of my original treatment

Yelp
My daughter and I just returned from a fabulous three day stay at the Lake Austin Spa. I'm a spa traveller and this is a must do place! The restaurant is so creative with very healthy food. We did the roller and stretch class every morning that worked out all those little sore places you never find then went for a swim in the indoor pool. There's great classes that will keep you busy all day from river cruises to french cooking without ever having to go up to the spa! However, the spa itself is first class! I loved the sea weed wrap that takes out the inflamation and the massage that goes with it. We stayed in the rooms that had a small meditation garden and fountain. The rooms were very comfortable. I've put this place on my list to return.

Yelp
Update: Lake Austin management tried to get this review removed, but it does indeed depict my exact experience at this location. They did eventually refund me partially, but not sufficient to reimburse me for the color & having to go to another salon to have my hair fixed. I'm still out of pocket about $300 above what I had paid because of this experience. "Such a frustrating experience at Lake Austin Spa. I went to have my hair colored via a balayage technique by Carla. Prior to scheduling the appointment I sat down with her & had a detailed consultation to show her exactly the look that I wanted & to confirm that she felt confident that she could do the precise technique - she confirmed that she could. I further asked the ladies at the spa front desk if they had ever seen Carla's balayage & they said that she had done several of the girls who worked there and that she did a wonderful job. Having done my due diligence, I felt comfortable setting up the appointment. Needless to say, she did not do anything close to the inspiration photo & my color looked like someone from supercuts had botched my hair - meanwhile this disaster cost me $356.70. I immediately spoke to her about seeing if she could fix it because I was so disappointed - she said that she could have me come back & she could try to fix it. Don't get me wrong, she is a sweetheart & if I had just needed a single process color, i probably would have been fine. However, upon further inspection of my hair when I got home I realized that her technique was amateurish - she even had "spots" in my hair where she left a spot of blonde in the middle of a brown low-light. She said that this "calco" effect would wash out in a few washes, but as anyone would know it did not. The next day I went in person to speak to the manager Kathrin & another spa associate with an English accent & showed them my hair. They both agreed that it was poorly done & they agreed that it wasn't worth my time coming back to have Carla fix it because she simply doesn't have the skillset required to do it properly. Kathrin said that she would speak to the owners & get back to me. 1.5 weeks later after several phone message that were never returned - I finally got a hold of her in her office. She said that she had left me a message - which she did NOT. She said that the owner agreed to reimburse 1/2 my money & that i should see it on my credit card (I NEVER did). I asked her to speak to the owner again because 1/2 was not sufficient because not only did I not get what I paid for - I then needed to pay even more to another salon to do an expensive color correction. She said that she would speak to the owner once again. Nevertheless, I had not heard from her since (it's been another week), even though I have left her & the other manager Janelle several messages asking about the status of the refund. I had to start a dispute via my credit card company to see if I could get a resolution at this point. All in all - I'm shocked at the poor quality of service & the even worse customer service. For such a notable resort, I would expect an impeccable experience. Thank goodness I now have gone to another salon who fixed it - but now I'm out of pocket over $650 from this & the color correction. They tried to get this review removed, but it does indeed depict my exact experience at this location. They did eventually refund me partially, but not sufficient to reimburse me for the color & having to go to another salon to have my hair fixed. "

Yelp
Horrible Customer service. My husband booked a mommy-to-be massage for me and he thought he booked it for a Thursday. I showed up on said Thursday and the front desk person informed me that my massage was in fact the following Monday. Ok, my bad, I should have double checked the email my husband sent me, I just took his word for it that it was on Thursday. Monday comes around and after a long weekend at a wedding out of town I completely forgot about my massage (hello, pregnant brain!), there were no reminder texts/calls/emails sent before the appointment by the way, and I called to let them know I forgot and hopefully we can reschedule. In the most annoying, condescending voice the woman said there was nothing that she could do. She couldn't reschedule me with another masseuse the same day, and if I wanted to reschedule the massage to a different day later that week, I'd have to pay for another session. So, in the end I was charged the full amount of the massage that I didn't even get, and I wasn't able to reschedule the massage for a later date either. Thanks for nothing LakeHouse Spa! You won't be getting my money ever again.

Yelp
As I lay unwinding under a large tree down by the lake on the stunning grounds of the Lake Austin Spa and resort I reflect on how amazing this spa truly is. After a bad experience here on another occasion the spa manager took time to really listen to my concerns and took the steps to make them better. This is something you see in a world class resort. She was not defensive in any way. So I really wanted to update my review to reflect this. They don't miss many if any details at this resort. The grounds on this resort make it truly magical. I recommend staying until the afternoon because watching the sunset at the lake is a great way to complete a day at the spa. Looking forward until the next time I can do this again.

Yelp
My friends and I enjoyed an amazing bachelorette spa day on a rainy Saturday a few months ago. The staff, the spa services (we had facials and massages), cleanliness and overall esthetic of the facilities was wonderful. Everything was clean and beautiful and the food was healthy and delicious. We loved the indoor pool (since it was raining we had it all to ourselves) and hot tub. I can't wait to find a reason to go back!

Yelp
The review is for day package we got for Valentine's 2016. If I could give 3.5 atars I would but since yelp doesn't let you do that I went up in honor of my aesthetician Erin. Both my husband and I got massages and facials along with the spa lunch. Here's the breakdown: After driving down through swanky hilly neighborhoods you end into a seedy looking area at the end of the road; however, the resort and spa are in a gated enclosure. It's outward appearance isn't fancy, but inside it's crisp and clean. Upon spa check in there was some confusion about our pre paid package and we were being charged extra for an add on as recommended by the booking specialist. After getting the wellness director involved we learned it works out better if you do an anti aging brightening facial (peel built in) Vs adding on a peel to a custom facial because they tack on a new set of gratuity and tax fees. The manager was able to figure it out after some investigating and I appreciated that. There are separate women's and men's lockers with private wet areas (sauna, jacuzzi, steam room). Shared outdoor pool isn't heated but there is a "heated" pool in a barn too that's unisex. The sauna is small and the steamer isn't anything fancy. The women's locker is standard as in other spas and the attendant was good about keeping it clean. - So my beef with this entire visit was my 50 min massage other than that everything was nice. For my 10am massage, it started at 1006 and I was outside at 1049. I asked for firmer pressure but it was just a truncated, mediocre rubdown, no choice in oils, etc. - My facial was amazing with Erin. I wish I could see her again but it's a pricey joint and we splurged for our anniversary. She was very knowledgable and fun, without pushing any products. Pick her and you won't regret it. My husband's experience: Fantastic massage with another lady (candy? Casey?) worked out his knots and wasn't chatty, but checked on his comfort and choices. Go figure...therapist is key! His facial was with Andrea and he was happy with it too. Lunch at the spa was clean and healthy with options of a soup, starter, entree plus dessert.

Yelp
I was fortunate enough to get a gift certificate for Mother's Day to Lake Austin Spa and it was such a wonderful experience. I had never been to this spa having lived in Austin for almost 5 years and hearing great things about it. Honestly, I would never spend the money on myself so it took a gift certificate for Mother's Day from my husband and daughter to get me to go. The reservation process was easy and I was able to get in pretty quickly seeing as though it had been 2 months since I had received my certificate. I have to say the grounds are stunning. The front desk staff was very friendly. My only concern is the tour is super short and it seemed that they could have taken a little more time to show me the facilities. I had several treatments to chose from and decided to have the Personal Best Facial. Susan was my Esthetician and she did an amazing job. She used some wonderful products on my face, some smelled so good, you could eat them! And she made sure to tell me exactly what they were doing for my skin and also provided a write up at the end of my treatment. If, and hopefully that if will come to fruition, I will request to work with Susan again. After my treatment, I decided to just get the most out of the money my husband spent on me. The outdoor pool and hot tub were wonderful. I got out there pretty early so I had it to myself. I went inside and checked out the indoor amenities such as the hot tub, steam room, and sauna. I had never tried a steam room and well frankly, I won't again not because of their steam room but just not my thing nor is the sauna, too hot in the summer for that, lol! I then went outside and walked down to Lake Austin and relaxed in a hammock. What a delight! It was beautiful. I went back up to get my phone and took some pics. After spending time outside and taking in all the beauty, I was starved. The Aster Café was very good. My certificate came with a soup, salad and then an entrée. I had the vegetarian tortilla soup and it was pretty good. Personally, for me it needed more oomph but it was tasty. I had the guacamole and it was a tad plain, but still good. For my main dish, I had the Portobello and chicken flatbread pizza. It was yummy, a little bit greasy because there was a lot of cheese. But hey cheese is supposed to that way so I went for it! After lunch, I wanted to walk off the meal and went back down to the Lake Austin and just relaxed in the hammock again. I would love to go back and have other services done, such as a massage and hope one day to have that opportunity, although I may have to save up for a while. It is very expensive but worth it.

Yelp
Treated an employee to a half day and made the reservation months ago. When I called the day before our designated time, we were unknown. We re-booked available times, which was not our preference, but tried to be flexible, since we had planned the half day off at the office. Upon arrival, they had our gift certificates as expired. Stunned. I had called that morning to confirm, and it seemed all was well. The lunch and services were fine. But really hardly worth the price and the hassle. Jennifer did offer to comp the facility charge next time, which was kind. Sadly, no need for a next time. I know this is a world class place. Just not to us.

Yelp
First off, I have never stayed the night here and have only had the day spa experience. I walked the grounds and don't necessarily recommend spending the night here, but I definitely recommend spending your day here! The grounds are beautiful and the lake view is amazing. The gardens and paths are extremely relaxing to stroll along and always offer a scenic view. Indoor and outdoor pool areas as well. Now the best part... the spa! The staff here is amazing and makes you feel very comfortable. They go over each of the steps before you begin so you know what to expect and you can address your concerns or wants and needs (whether its a facial, massage, body wrap, etc.). They really know how to find your "spots" that need the most attention, but they make sure not to neglect the rest of your body. The spa boutique has an extraordinary selection with thousands of creams and candles and beauty products recommended by your masseuse and other fun stuff that you may want to add to your shopping bag as well. I have traveled and spa'd often and have seen many upscale and more formal spas. This is not one... but don't let that sway you! It is more of a laid back atmosphere that you feel extremely comfortable in. It is super clean and still extremely nice with a French lake house decor. You'll definitely want to prop your feet up here.

Diane K.

Yelp
Disappointed. This was my 2nd time visiting, first time was several years ago. The ladies hot tub was not working properly, only 2 jets were sort of working for the entire tub. The 'swimsuit' dryer was also not functional. I had a blueberry facial (advised for rosecea), there was a machine she was using that kept stopping and she would have to stop treatment, get up, walk around bed to get to machine to reset it or turn it back on, not sure what she did as my eyes were closed. This happened 4-5 times during my treatment. Also had the most painful extractions I have ever experienced in 20 years of getting facials. Not sure what products were used, but, my face has been unexpectedly peeling all week. On the positive side, the food at lunch was better than the first time I went. Massage was OK, nothing spectacular.

Yelp
I recently spent a half day at the spa. I was very disappointed to find that a gift certificate my husband had given me had expired. I contacted the manager later and asked if they could make some compromise, since the original certificate was for a considerable amount of money (this is a pricey place). They were unwilling to do anything. Yes, I realize now the expiration date is clearly stated .... but for me, this practice of taking your money and then not providing the service borders on dishonest. It is a lovely place but their customer service is horrible, even more shocking since this is a luxury service provider. Certainly think twice about ever buying a gift certificate here, it's likely to end badly.

Lisa H.

Yelp
I'm so confused as to why they would want to lose a customer over $225. My husband purchased a gift certificate for me after my son was born. I am just now getting through the haze and was excited for some relaxation. My GC has been expired for over a year, but I know that federal and state law provide for redemption up to the amount of purchase for up to 5 years from the date it was bought. For some reason, Lake Austin Spa believes that federal and state laws do not apply to them. I was told because it was a package my husband purchased, rather than a dollar amount on the GC, they would not honor the law. They offered me a $30 lunch if I wanted to pay for my own treatment- a slap in the face! I have looked at the regulation and see no exception for packages for GCs. I posted about this to a group I belong to of over 300 female attorneys and I was shocked to see that Lake Austin Spa has done this to many other clients! I will file complaints with the Attorney General, FTC and Better Business Bureaus. They cannot keep violating the law!

Angela K.

Yelp
I got a gift certificate for XMAS from my daughter It was the worst massage I have ever had. I had the Swedish massage. I told my masseuse that the table pad was cold and she said don't worry it will get warm never did. Her hands were freezing and did not get warm till the end. terrible massage terrible experience. I have had better massages at Katy Mills mall($50 for an hour) as well as Memorial city Mall($32 for 1/2 hour) while Austin lake charge $200 for 50 minutes. Their rooms were tiny and not decorated I have had better rooms at Thai massage parlors. It was a lot of money for a lousy massage. the second massage was suppose to be shoulders and head. The masseuse just ran her finger nails through my hair and called it a massage that to cost close to #200. what a sham...

Yelp
Well to begin, I was attempting to reserve the Bamboo room for the day with the, "Over the top" package as a surprise for my wife of 20 years for our anniversary. Unfortunately the barriers to entry were too great for Lake Austin resort to overcome. The receptionist had no idea of the product that I was trying to purchase. As she began the confusion with one option she quickly dug herself deeper into a hole that neither she could understand nor I could. After a few minutes of allowing her to try to redeem herself I suggested she let me talk to someone else. At which point she replied "Okay. Would you mind holding?" to which I replied yes and then she accidentally hung up. I then called back, she apologised and attempted to transfer me and hung up again. I then called back and asked to talk with a supervisor. It was explained to me that the package that was offered was not available without an 80 min massage so I requested this be added. Apparently there were no massage therapists available so I offered to pay and not receive the service. They said that they would look into getting things in order and call me back. After 3 hours I called back for a status update and Amber hung up again. It would be less troublesome for me to fly my wife to Las Vegas for a day at the spa than force myself on this incompetent group.

Yelp
Called and asked for a full day package for my wife, picked out the activities and then paid. When my wife got there she was told that I only had a half day package but full day activities so I'd need to pay more. When she couldn't call me on my cell, they wouldn't let her use their phone. Then they told her she couldn't cancel. Instead of a relaxing day my wife got treated with disrespect. No idea if the facilities or treatments are good.

Yelp
I have been a spa junkie for over 25 years. Tonight I had one of the BEST massages I have ever had from Tanner. He is amazing. If you want an incredible massage, ask for him. The Lake Austin Spa is a fabulous place for the day, or for the week. This is my 7th time here. And I will be back again.

Jack V.

Yelp
Very lush grounds and beautiful pool area. And great massage therapists. But the interior areas - chiefly the relaxation room and massage rooms - were lacking. And the lunch included with day packages is laughable for the price. Three of the courses in the '4 course meal' consisted of lentil soup, a tiny dollop of guacamole, and frozen yogurt straight out of a soft serve machine. The other course choices included grilled cheese or quesadilla (a la a kids menu at Applebees) or the tiny cut of salmon I decided on. Stick to a massage, use the pool area, and skip the lunch.

Yelp
My husband and I went on a Tuesday night for their happy hour special. We received an 80 min massage for the price of a 60 min massage. We enjoyed our couples massage and practically had the facilities to ourselves. The steam room was just what the doctor ordered. The swedish deep tissue massages we over the top good. A great date night!

Yelp
I have really enjoyed this spa. I have only been as a day guest (I'm lucky enough to live just up the road from here) but have enjoyed the facilities including the restaurant where I've had lunch in between treatments. My first visit the massage wasn't great and I wasn't sure about going back. However, I am glad I did as I have now found my favorite therapist! Every visit back has been great since!! I would recommend the spa but make sure you explain what kind of massage you like when booking and ask them to put you with the best person for that type of massage (I like very deep tissue).

Yelp
My thoughtful husband purchased the mom-to-be gift certificate here for me for Christmas. When I called to schedule the reservation (less than 90 days later), I was told that package was no longer offered. After reviewing the website, I could see most of the individual services were still offered so I booked those. Finding a day when those 3 services could be provided was a challenge, not to mention the person scheduling the appointment failed to provide a breakdown of charges. Fast forward to my spa day, I was presented with a bill for $119, in addition to the $443 my husband had spent on the gift certificate, when I registered at the front desk (because of fees and gratuity). $562 for (1) 50 minute massage, (1) 50 minute facial, and (1) 30 minute pedicure?? Hardly what we were expecting. When I questioned it, I was told the person who scheduled the appointment was no longer there and that my complaint would be passed on to management. That's it. Needless to say, the thoughtful gift my husband purchased turned out to be a half day of mediocre services. We feel like we were ripped off! And after reading some of the other reviews here, I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere, especially if it's a gift. The value, the pricing and the services here aren't worth you're hard earned money.

Yelp
I loved this spa. It is a beautiful spa in the middle of a remote area that I would have never visited if it was not for coming here. My husband and I spent the day here and we had a very relaxing time. The grounds are lovely! We spent almost six hours here enjoying the pool, walking by the lake and having a massage. I have to say it was the only part of my trip to Austin where I felt like I was on vacation. I think that the spa could be improved by: 1. placing magazines and 2. snacks near the pool area. And, I was disappointed that there was no drink service at the pool. I think the pool could benefit from pool service (so that you can order drinks without having to get up). As well, I never received a confirmation for my spa when I booked my treatment. This concerned me since I expect this to be standard from a spa of this level. It seriously made me question cancelling the massage as I started to worry about a place that would not do this. The grounds are lovely. The place is comfortable and I would return in a heart beat just to sit by the pool for the day. I was jealous of everyone staying at the resort. It is a little in the middle of no where but it is so relaxing it more than makes up for being a little remote.
