Lakeland House - closed

Had a one night stay here, managed to park outside, room was fairly small but fine, bathroom clean and well finished, beds really comfortable. Breakfast was very good and it's in a good location. Only gripe is some local teenagers seemed to use the Donald Campbell memorial opposite as their hang out spot and were noisy until late, this isn't the hotels fault but did spoil it a bit.

Lovely guest house, clean, warm and very welcoming. Staff extremely friendly and attentive, nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and clean, if you can afford to treat yourself go for the suite- room 11, laying in the bath watching tv is a great way to unwind. If not all the other rooms are just as comfortable and relaxing. The choice of breakfast suits all needs and again they will mix it up and change it around with no fuss if your diet requires like mine. Attached to the guesthouse is an amazing coffee shop (Holland’s) where the cake is amazing.

Stayed here over the weekend, easy to find, beautiful little place. Nice spacious room, lovely bathroom with powerful shower! Breakfast was very yummy. Absolute stunning views of the mountains. Shops and pub next door, didn’t hear any noise!! Bed was very comfy too!! Definitely recommend and will come back again! Thank you!!

This was our 3rd time at Lakeland House. It's still a lovely place to stay. Our room was really bright with 3 windows and quite large with a good comfy bed. The breakfast was probably one of the best we have had, lots of choice and perfectly cooked. Emily was very attentive as were the other girls. Cannot wait to come back.

Wrote my well deserved review prior to breakfast! Wonderful... set us up literally for the full day... the staff were so helpful & Rebecca especially was wonderful! My little boy (& we’ve travelled) says “the best breakfast ever” - and he’s right! Lovely owners too! Many thanks for a great stay!

My partner and I stayed here for my birthday and the service was absolutely fantastic. The place is absolutely spotless and the rooms are modern but still very cosy and confortable. The hosts were very welcoming and we were given great recommendations of places to visit whilst there. And it is worth going just for the breakfast and poached eggs. I would highly recommend it. Relaxing stay at the Lakeland House, great location in the heart of Coniston, lovely, comfortable room with a beautiful view. Breakfast was exceptional, my partner enjoyed Eggs Benedict and I had pancakes, great service, would highly recommend this B&B, will definitely be returning.

Very clean and modern Good breakfast. Some might not like the room size and stairs are narrow. Room 10 {loft room} we were in has a sloping ceiling but not an issue for us. It would benifit from aircon in the hot summer even with the window open it was hot.it is in the centre of Coniston so great for the pubs, restaurants and Ruskin museum.
