LakeSide House Cafe

Brilliant! We stopped off here after a walk round the lake on our first visit to Keswick, and were delighted by the experience. The food was lovely, and the service was some of the best we’ve ever encountered - it really made our day! Highly, highly recommended 👍🏼

Food was tasty however portions were tiny and flat white was more like coffee and milk rather than any froth. Ordered the English style breakfast and it came with half a slice of black pudding (why not just give a full piece?)

We stopped by LakeSide House Cafe a few times on our trip to Keswick and enjoyed each of our visits! The porridge is very tasty and was great fuel ahead of a big run. Also had the Eggs Benedict another day which I enjoyed as well. Their terrace is a lovely little sun trap which is the perfect place to relax with a cold drink after a long day of hiking or running. It’s just a few steps off the main streets of town, on the way to the waterfront, but was a very quiet and peaceful place to relax. We will certainly be back next time we are in town!

Went in for a cooked breakfast, amazing food with a lovely cozy atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back again!

Amazing spot for food and drinks in Keswick. Menu is extensive and everything looked appealing for breakfasts, brunch or lunch. Currently only open Friday-Sunday but was easy to find a seat either outside on the peaceful terrace or inside, where there was plenty of space. Given the scrummage of people in the town centre it was nice to find somewhere 2 minutes walk away that didn’t require waiting in line. We ended up having drinks on the terrace in the sun while people watching - great way to spend an afternoon after a hike.

We spent a luxurious weekend at Holly & Ivan’s beautiful Lakeside House. The room was a palace; grand, spacious and very comfortable. They are the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure of staying with. Friendly, welcoming and wonderful company! The cafe is excellent, with a great variety of drinks and food. I’m vegan and was fully catered for. You can’t put a price on such excellent hospitality so your stay here will be great value for money.

Booked a table, arrived and the door had a notice saying that the cafe was closed. I still received an email reminder about my booking that morning. What a waste of time.

Beautiful location for a delightfully peaceful and spacious B&B. Ivan and Holly are the warmest, friendliest hosts you could wish for! Great atmosphere, great room and a marvellous variety of food options. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be returning!
