Lakeside Motel

Our room had an extremely strong smoke odor and carpets were stained in several places. Unfortunately we arrived late when office was closed and we were not able to request to change our room, although I'm not sure that could've helped. Would not stay there again.

I can describe my stay in one word “ dump” you can’t put lipstick on a pig and call it cute, charming or adorable its still a pig, old worn out furniture, towels you can spit thru bedding the same, and it stinks, for those that gave this place a wonderful rating id love to see where they live. I gave it one star because I had to.

Poorly maintained, dirty motel. One night stop only. If you emptied the cigarette butts, painted the place properly and cut the bushes you might get more business. Then you probably don’t care - as that’s the impression you give your clients.

This is my third time here, I always get a balcony room. Besides the fact that it needs a facelift the rooms are very good size and very clean with a great view.

It is a little dated but very clean. A wonderful view of the lake! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed some tools to install a buggy whip on my truck, a requirement for working at the mine. The manager loaned me a drill bit then came out with a light as I was working in the dark.

What I loved: spacious, well-equipped and super clean room with picturesque vistas of the lake/mountains. The young lady and her colleague (who I believe may be the caretaker?) were very sweet and made me feel welcome upon check in. The WiFi was super fast and there was ample free parking, just a few steps from my room. ||Hats off to the individual(s) who take care of the gardening/landscaping of the grounds, by far the most compelling part of the property. Well done! ||In terms of areas of improvement: I was surprised to learn that my room didn’t have AC. The other thing is that I knew that the motel was very dated however the room (although clean) was even more dated than anticipated. The fact that the room key was a physical key was very concerning for obvious security reasons (most locksmiths will duplicate a “do not copy” key for a small tip). Fortunately, I didn’t encounter any issues. ||All things considered, a very great property and as long as you don’t need any bells and whistles, this would be the best place to stay in town!

My room stinks of curry or some kind of cooking and they had to know because there is fan already going but it wasn't helping. One of the beds looks like it was slept in then just made up again. I can't say for sure but when I pulled the covers back the sheet was all wrinkled like it had been and the other bed the sheet was smooth like it should look like. No deadbolt or any other way to lock the door other than the door handle. It does have a decent view of the lake and a patio to sit on if you can't handle the smell of the room. I'm not all that fussy but I won't be back and can't reccomend it to anyone either.

Paid 20 bucks for mini golf and the course doesn't even get maintained

Best value for your money. Let's get one thing clear, the Motel is older, and does not have air conditioning. Fans, yes. And for 99% of the time, it would not be important but for some it is. What it is, is great value. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. Beds are clean and comfortable. Coffee maker, TV, internet all included. Balcony's are deep and wide. There are some kitchenettes, we did not get one of those rooms. Great office staff. Cheerfully professional and helpful. Best tip I can give you? Call direct for the best rate! We will come back again.

Friendly staff who made my stay comfortable. Room was decent with a tiny kitchenette but a beautiful patio overlooking the lake. Room was clean and tidy but I am only giving a three as it was quite pricey compared to other motels.

I would have given a 3 if it had not been for my morning experience. My experience there was average until the morning. The lady at the front, whom i assumed was the owner, was peeking in my room at 10am, one hour before check out. Granted she was watering flowers, but totally an invasion of privacy. On top of that she scolded me for wiping down the inside of my car with a motel towel, was completely rude, and continued giving me scowls and dirty looks until i left. A good experience made completely uncomfortable with just a few looks. Otherwise the place is clean, has a few rattles and other noises in the rooms, and is a comfortable space. I was pleasantly surprised to find a hotplate and dishes available in the room.
