Lakeview Gimli Resort

Wry nice location. Nice room although dated. Hotel is currently renovating the bathrooms which would make a huge difference. Hairdryer and coffee maker need an upgrade as well as all the plugs in the room. Ed was comfortable and linens were good. ||Fantastic restaurant and bar. Staff was exceptional.

This hotel is ideally situated along the shores of the lake, and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, a brewery and pub. It also has a coffee shop (Robin's), restaurant and lounge within it, plus an exercise room and shops. As for the guest room, we were happy it was pet friendly. That being said, the room (and hotel) are definitely showing their age. The room had tape holding the carpet together, the fridge was ancient, the bedding was oddly mismatched. The corridors were outdated and vending machines were out of order, and ice machines were in desperate need of a deep clean. Our bathroom had obviously been updated somewhat recently but the rest of the room was in dire need. During the offseason the rate isn’t too bad and the rooms are clean, so booking at this “resort” is reasonable; I’m not sure I’d be willing to pay high season rates for this facility. Front desk staff were friendly, but it would be nice if they explained to guests where to find their rooms and share basic information.

One bedroom suite was decent. Good size for small families however, could use some upgrading. Screen door leading to patio was broken, and pull-out couch/bed was very uncomfortable and springy. When we arrived, the hallway on our floor did not smell nice. Almost like mouldy wet carpets. Unfortunately not impressed with the restaurant for dinner. Food was way overpriced and our meals came cold to the table. Overall, the room and food was way overpriced for what we got. Don’t think we would stay here again unless the hotel had some upgrades or we were able to get a better deal on a room.

I have been going to Gimli with my mom, sister and Grandpa and Grandma for years now and we always stay in the same room for a week each year. This is a great vacation destination and will highly recommend😃! Also my grandpa is good friends with the manager! There is great service there and great clean rooms with and an amazing restaurant and pool area! I recommend going August 1-20 because there are no fishflies there!!! I am so excited to go there this summer with my family! Five star ⭐ vacation destination for families.

Came to Lakeview Resort during the summertime and had a beautiful relaxing stay. This resort is positioned perfectly on Gimli’s shore and definitely gives you plenty to look at in terms of views. The rooms are cozy and comfy and the restaurant is convenient and delicious. There’s so much to do when you stay here. We happened to catch a live music performance on the street as well as the amazing Canada day fireworks at nighttime. The pools and hot tub are clean and the beach is right out the door. One of the best experiences in Manitoba for sure and I do recommend!

The Lakeview Gimli is my favourite stop when working in Manitoba's Interlake region. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. Seagull's restaurant serves delicious meals, including locally caught pickerel, and serving staff are wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.

We've been enjoying the Lakeview Gimli Resort since our kids were little...for over 30 years! ||Now, we always choose to stay in a lakeview vacation suite. The suites are comfortable and the views are great! ||We've never been disappointed. When we've had an issue or concern, it was dealt with promptly. ||A close escape from the city.||||||

We were enjoyed every single minute there. Beautiful swimming pool, amazing view. Very relaxing atmosphere. Only 3 steps for room cleaning, because I found that our room was not clean enough:very dusty and bathroom can be cleaner.
