Bit over priced, but has a much better selection and of much higher quality than Laksala. Like others have already mentioned, search around for cheaper prices for the same quality items if you have time. Otherwise, if you want a one stop place and doesn't mind paying a bit extra for the convenience I'd highly recommend here.

Went to Lakpahana just to get elephant book ends I have been looking around for more than 10 years. The collection of items housed in this place just astounded me. Later found out that they "...retail handicrafts made by Sri Lankan Artisans ... are Local, family run and social enterprise.." Gayathri and Vipuni and the many other assistants were very helpful in choosing our items. A truly one stop shop for souvenirs. Shall most certainly be telling our friends and family in Australia heading to Sri Lanka to shop with Lakpahana.

Great place to shop authentic SriLankan batik and fascinating souvenirs crafted by local artisans at reasonable prices. The staff unpretentious but very helpful. Strongly recommend this place.

Best place to buy souvenirs esp handicrafts. I actually like the painted wooden table and paintings, ughh! It's like antique. Love the collections here! Price is reasonable too! We bought some stuff in here!

Great shop with beautiful souvenirs and super friendly staff! I had the pleasure of meeting Thilini — she was incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole shopping experience excellent. Highly recommended!

A good variety of arts and crafts all in one place. Not the cheapest place to go but most convenient as there are lots of options and it’s in town. The only downside is the way employees follow you around the whole time; I understand if one does but literally had 4 people following us around as if we’re criminals. It’s off putting and makes you want to leave faster.

They have a very very customer unfriendly return policy. This is very strict and badly affect the tourists who come and travel outside Colombo for a few days after buying from them. Never recommend this place as you can get the same stuffs from Lakmedura and Laksala with better customer friendly environment and same price with more options. P.S My aim is, you to be more flexible as so-called competitors who already have better policies what I experienced as a Google Reviewer. Try to be more flexible since the majority of customer are coming from customer friendly environment and expect little better than this. P.S. Feel sad to read your answer with false accusations to cover your shortcomings; as I never use aggression as a neutral Reviewer. I made the purchase on 14th August and came to return it on 18th. I stayed in Sri Lanka only for 4 weeks. I am happy you changed your policy up to 7 days from original 3 days. I appreciate the policy change made subsequently which would help the customers who travel outside Colombo and no time to meet your original 3 days time frame.

Wide variety of products for relatively high prices how ever the manager is unfriendly. "Look at him walking around with his camera" I was walking with the camera because they insisted that i leave my small camera bag. Would not go there, there are other places with similar products close by.
