Lovely Cosy Family run business!! The husband is the chef and his wife in the front. The food was 10/10. The flavours were next well, all food was cooked to perfection. My lamb was so juicy melted in my mouth and my partners cod dish was also cooked to perfection. They have a lovely cave style dining area.

This is a homey place. The food was good at best. However, that cool looking room in most pictures smells quite musty. There is a rusty metal bar going through the posterior lower part of the room. By the AC. The room has a carpet, that seems old and part of that musty issue. Why would you have cheap looking, old carpet in a small restaurant? When you look closely at the bricks they have dark mold in multiple areas. The knives to cut the steak are not sharp, making me obliterate my stake while cutting it. The steak was medium well, i wanted it medium rare. Just… a lot of details for this well intended restaurant are lacking. Not overpriced. Modest wine list.

Second time in Reims for me and stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant in the corner near the Gare on a Tuesday night. It was 7pm and asked the Miss host if I could dine without a reservation and they let us in. Both Misses who hosted us were very warm and friendly and with my broken French, still allowed me to continue tried speaking in French. On a tangent, I am of Japanese decent and believe that language plays a huge roll in perception in the world and always felt if visitors in Japan could learn just a little Japanese, the experience would be 10x better. The nuances of things change dramatically and the hosts (I later found out they both speak very good English) allowed me to converse with them in French. I really appreciate the time they spent dealing with my ego and very appreciative of their hospitality. I think most of the seating were underground level and felt like I was dining in a beautiful old wine cellars which hit my taste 120%. Every time I visit a basement I keep imagining converting it to my man cave. Now for the food and champagne side, you are in the best brut region in the world. I had a demi-bottle for two of us which was perfect for my non-alcohol tolèrent body and the food was beautiful and very tasteful. A lot of local ingredients in season. I love sauerkraut and learned the dish they served had it under the fish we ordered and is the Alsace regions specialty. My travel buddy loves asparagus and the white asparagus soup (potage??) he said was best he has ever had. I always love restaurants serving great seasonal local ingredients that is not common to me. Price wise, coming from California and stopping by at Paris, is very accessible and nothing that would break your bank. I don’t want to say “cheap” because as a restauranteur myself I don’t want to give impression that the restaurant is underselling itself at all but compared to what you get for spending 75-100 USD for two in America, I say what we received in food and services is something that would easily cost me 150+ per person in Bay Area. (I know this is bad American habit but had to put it in here) Thank you Ms.s for taking us in and not rushing us during the dining experience. I was happy with the hospitality but the city was very pretty and after the great food, I wanted to stroll around and see the beautiful buildings as it matched the food very much. I am looking for place in France to remote/work in the future and this restaurant gave me +2 pts for choosing Reims as a contender.

We turned up on a Friday evening without a reservation and we were lucky enough to get the last available table downstairs in the 'cave'! What an incredible experience we had, the starter of snails and mushroom is stunning both in presentation and flavour. The main course of lamb was recommended by our wonderful waitress and it was beyond our expectation! The desert of Creme Brulee and Chocolate fondant were both perfect. All topped off in a stunning environment with beautiful champagne... What more could you want from a dinner in Reims!

We stumble to this place by chance , the owner is a lovely lady , the services is just amazing . The food is a revisited French cuisine , very few plates and yet incredibly good . We only in Remis for one night , otherwise I Will definitely come back here !

We had an excellent meal here last week. One of our party was Vegan; checking in advance they confirmed that they would be able to cater for this and they did to a great standard. The standard menu was also beautifully executed.

Google
Great service and attention to detail. Knowledgeable staff, especially around wines but also food. Food was beautiful, I had veal tartare, lamb, and creme brulee. I would heartily recommend if you are in the area.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, but for me, it was just okay. Negatives were (1) There are no physical menus -- only a QR code, and dining in the cellar, we had no internet on our phones. They brought us one tablet, but passing the single tablet around all 5 of us meant that it took a long time for everyone to have a chance to decide on their order. (2) There was an unpleasant musty smell as we entered the cellar dining room. (3) There were several flies in the cellar dining room. (4) My food was just average. It wasn't bad, just sort of bland. I will say that everyone else I was with loved their food, so maybe I just didn't make the best entree choice (sea bream). Also, the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and we were even given a little sample of bourbon cherries on our way out. It was a decent meal and fine experience overall, but not a place I'd be rushing back to.

Yelp
This was a gem of a find! Our dinner was the most delicious we have had in France. As an added bonus, the proprietor was able to work with the chef to create gluten free options for me to enjoy. They even had pain san gluten and gluten-free crackers. I was in heaven.

Yelp
Such a wonderful surprise! We were greeted by the warm and lovely owner and seated in the fabulous cave She helped us with the all French menu and ended up with superlative food and wine. Moderate prices especially for this highly memorable meal. HIGHLY recommended!!

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal at L'Alambic. First, thanks to the owner for seating us early as we arrived before our designated time. I'm an ovo/lacto vegetarian and had a wonderful meal. A delicious rose champagne as an aperitif and a cold cucumber soup with iced cream, a delicious off the menu "vegetable plate" (something that makes me cringe in an American restaurant because it always seems to be an afterthought), and a fantastic dessert at what I'd translate to be praline milk chocolate mousse with apricot sorbet (and that's not quite right). All three were phenomenal. To drink we had a petit Chablis. So, so good. Highly recommend.

Yelp
If you're in Reims, eat here! The restaurant itself is absolutely charming. It's small (we didn't make reservations; we visited in early December so we got lucky) and very cosy. The food was amazing. We ordered the escargot and foie gras to start, the rabbit and beef for our main courses, and a selection of cheese for dessert. All of that, plus a bottle of wine - only $120. It was one of the best meals I had in France. Just a heads up - when you pay, you may get offered a drunken cherry. There were delicious but pack a punch!

Yelp
Welcome to the husband and wife team that made my evening in Reims....it was a Tuesday and lucky for me that the three Star Michelin l'assiette And le jardin were closed and lefoch had no reservations so I had to forego the l'etoile.... And lol and behold we found (their address is listed wrong on yelp street address is 63 not 33) The food is wonderful ....listen to the Mrs.'s reccomendations... If you are lucky she will share her husbands recipes (worth the price of entry ) We asked to have the salmon en fila as an entree which they split for us,,,,sauce is easy vermouth Used for a buerre blanchard (gives it a bite ) and shallots just perfect we chose a burgundy (nuits St George's) that the wife reccomended and it was perfect for my wife filet de boeuf Rossini and my lamb... The potatoes gratin were divine .... I went for the cheese plate my wife ordered a parfait ... I asked to taste the white chocolate soup (divine) I got lucky tonight because the Michelin chefs were toooo busy to serve ...therefore I suggest Reims on Tuesdays. And you too may get a dinner from this couple (if you are lucky) BTW ... The address was wrongly listed in Yelp So when we arrived up the street we telephoned and out a person came to mark the spot

Yelp
Our party of two had a nice dinner at this place on a Monday night. The restaurant has both a cellar and a main floor. The restaurant was full and so I suggest reservations on a Monday in winter because many restaurants are closed on Monday. One of us had the pumpkin soup which he said was delicious and the guinea foul which he said was a little dry. The other had a green salad and artic char which also was a little dry. The food was good, the food was reasonably priced and the service pleasant.

Yelp
We had expected an elegant setting due to the high ratings. The wine by the glass was not what we had hoped. The cave ambience was interesting but not Classy. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Food was mediocre.

Yelp
This is a very small restaurant, so you'll definitely want to book ahead for dinner. (Lunch may be easier.) As everyone has said, this is a charming spot and the owner is so welcoming and helpful. While the menu is in French and most of the staff speak only French, the owner speaks very good English and took the time to translate every item on the menu for us. While there is very little on the menu that is vegetarian, they put together a very generous portion of vegetables for me, and even brought out a dish of peanuts as the complimentary bread with spread had anchovies in it. Most of the tables are downstairs in a cave-like setting (which is charming). Each month, they feature different champagnes by the glass - always something from a smaller producer. Prices were very reasonable. All said and done we spent about $70 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert and 3 glasses of wine. The food was all very tasty, especially the asparagus soup. It was a lovely experience - I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Great find in Reims, highly recommend if you prefer something authentic and off the main drag. Food was fantastic and service great too. We had a good chat with the owner who proudly told us she doesn't serve French fries, even with the kids meals. Suited us perfectly.

Yelp
This restaurant gave a wonderful French experience. The owner was lovely and was our waitress, she translated for us and helped us pronounce the words correctly in French. The food was delicious and surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend to anyone who lives here or is visiting.

Yelp
Excellent meal! Fantastic family run restaurant. Food, service, and ambiance all in one. You feel like you are part of the family until you walk out the front door. My wife and I did the the preset courses and it was well worth the money spent.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant, classic French cuisine at its finest! We were greeted by the owner who made us feel right at home while she explained the entire menu in English. We decided to try the house wine which was as good if not better than 95% of the wines I've tasted in the Napa Valley. The food was absolutely delicious from the foie gras to the salmon. And the desert C'est magnifique.
