Lalibela Hotel

I stayed at this hotel 2nights.|Location is good.|This hotel is located at the center of down hill side. There are some coffee shops, gift shops , glossary stores, local restaurants and ATM.|It’s easy to get everything.|You can get St. George church less than 20 minutes.||Rooms are clean and we can get hot water shower although water pressure is poor. But it can’t be help because here is over 2,500 meters.||Restaurant is good a woman cooks quickly and taste is good.||An owner and staff are very nice.|The owner always smile and takes care of all guests. He provided me a mosquito incense and free diner.||And tourists guide Moges is good, as well. He is a professional guide. He has good knowledge of churches and around about Lalibela. He will totally accompany with you if you want. If you don’t want, he never force his opinion on you.|I stayed with him whole two days and he fully supported me.|If you visit Lalibela, I highly recommend to stay Lalibela hotel and ask a guide to Moges(092-027-1555).

We were very satisfied with the accommodation in Lalibela hotel. The cleanliness and the size and equipment of the room. The hotel and at the same time local tourist guide, Abebe Assefa, took us through all 11 churches in the city in 2 days and provided us with countless useful information and detailed the history of the city and its attractions and recommended local restaurants where we had excellent service and delicious food. We stayed a family of 5, 2 parents and 3 youngsters (23, 21, 17).||We had 2 bedrooms. The rooms were big and clean but very basic. Water was worm with good pressure.||The staff were very friendly and helpful. ||Wi-Fi also worked only in lobby and not all the time.||Breakfast was good. The first day breakfast was served on request with a menu. The second day was a kind of buffet which was also nice. We ate one-night dinner which was only ok.||The place is 15 minutes' walk to the churches. You start up hill to go so you have to be in shape.

I just loved this hotel - comfortable rooms with nice terrace, nice garden, good choice of gifts in the shop and the food and service - just excellent. I loved the staff in the kitchens too - wonderful cooks and so helpful and with such generous spirits - when we were there a wedding reception was happening and when the music started everyone was up dancing- the guests, the cooks - so relaxing - such fine. Will always remember this place with huge affection and would definitely insist of staying there again.

The hotel is very well located on walking distance to the old churches and very close to the shopping area. The hotel has great and friendly staff!||||The rooms are basic. we had to change rooms after one night because we could feel the bed springs in our bed,. The next night was much better. So check the beds before checking in. The observant staff was very much willing to help us to move to the other room.||||the rooms all have a mini terrace with view on the mountains. On most of the days the view is blocked by washed bed sheets however. There is a kind of room service, but you need to order it yourself oat the restaurant. They will bring it to your terrace||||The bathroom is outdated, Try to catch the (warm) water drops from the shower.||||The restaurant is ok. There is wide variety of choice for the breakfast,

I loved the place. Nice food and great service at the restaurant. Would definitely visit again given the chance. The airport shuttle to the hotel was not charged but on the ride back to the airport where we had been assigned another van by the hotel the driver demanded 100 birr from each of us. That was a little confusing and odd but due to the rush to catch our flight we paid up willingly.

Melak and team are so helpful and accommodating. I felt like i've known them for years. My sister and I felt safe and very comfortable staying at the hotel. I would absolutely recommend lalibale. What a fantastic view. Tahay/Sunshine made the best breakfast for us :) Thank you dear.

I really liked this hotel. Clean place, nice staff and a really awesome restaurant. The location is in the south part of town, but very close to one of the church groups. Also, their guide is really skilled and I had a great full day with him, visiting all the churches. I would definitely stay here again.
