Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel

Reading reviews, I haven't gone with much expectations. Yes, palace needs maintenance and bathrooms are not something inspiring but everything just works basic. Mysore is anyway have lot to explore so most of our time spent sightseeing outside and we spend evening and early morning just appreciating the grandeur of the palace which is a unique experience. Staff are okay and they do provide good service on tips. Breakfast is super delicious with limited choice but whatever was there was very delicious. Restaurant service is also great. Overall a great stay for palace experience and if you are planning to to use for just night sleep as Mysore has lots of places to travel during the day. Highly recommended

Loved the property Best place to stay for one or two days max Food in the restaurant is delicious and worth trying and we can order to the room. We had complimentary breakfast which was good enough. Overall good experience staying here and you can have a walk in the entire property but please maintain silence through out the stay to maintain the palace vibes.

The rooms need a slight upgrade with bathroom. Overall it’s nice but could be great. The service is excellent and breakfast is great as well. The location is perfect as it’s closer to all the time locations in the city. Perfect for a family getaway. The palace hotel is a great way to spend few nights where once the royalty resided as their relaxing place.

Wow experience lasted only till we stepped into the room!!! From outside, palace looks really amazing and great for photos. Once we stepped into room, kids want to go back to home. Old walls, blankets, sheets and FOUL SMELLED BATHROOM. There restaurant has great view and again everything ends there!!! Staff feel we are living on them. Very poor service and food at road side restaurant will be much better. And finally most important thing ***DO NOT CARRY DSLR CAMERA. THEY WILL NOT ALLOW CLICKIBG PICS. ONLY MOBILE CAMERA IS ALLOWED ESLE YOH NEED TO PAY 11K FOR DSLR USAGE***

We spent an enjoyable two nights at the Lalitha Mahal Palace. We found the hotel to be charming, especially the well maintained public rooms. Yes, the bedrooms and bathrooms are a little 'tired' but to me that was represented in the room rate. The rooms were spacious and clean and we liked the balcony overlooking the pool and garden. We very much liked the staff, especially in the dining room where we found them very helpful. We got out and about using Autos which are great for getting around Mysuru. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel and there was a very good choice for breakfast. A very enjoyable stay.

Arrived quite late in the evening. Front reception staff did not acknowledge us for a while. When they did we had to ask to be checked in. Keys given by a staff member lacking good customer relations. They also looked unprofessional ok they had a uniform but they looked dirty and also staff were seen wearing own clothes and knitted hats. Not the look a 5 star hotel should have. When we entered our rooms it all went down hill. The room was disgusting mould in the bathroom, rotting doors and hair in the bath and a very disgusting smell. Bed sheets were torn and dirty. I thought id been transported into a nightmare. For a hotel to claim to be five star is false advertising. It isnt worth 1 star. We did not eat at the hotel as we feared for the hygiene of the kitchens. However braved having a drink in the bar. Which took 40mins to get, the bar floor was very dangerous as the floor boards moved. Total accident waiting to happen. It gets worse we had 3 power cuts and the whole place went into darkness no emergency lighting came on. God forbid a fire broke out in the night as you wouldnt see to escape. If this hotel was in the UK id be reporting it to health and safety, food standards and also trading standards. Spoke with general manager who kept saying lets look after you. What surly this should be happening already. He didnt seem to care about our concerns and tried to blame the housekeeping staff. As I pointed out no amount of ajax or bleach would sort the issue out. Its down the management maintaining the site. My advise do not come here.

Very disappointing stay. Not recommended at all. I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The management was extremely rude and unprofessional. I raised multiple requests for my stay, but no one responded or bothered to help. What made it worse was that I had to personally go down and follow up even when my baby was not well, which was completely unacceptable and stressful for a family traveling with an infant. The breakfast was very poor in quality and options. The rooms were pathetic — poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and not at all worth the money. Overall, this hotel lacks basic hospitality, care, and professionalism. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, especially families.

During our recent trip to Mysore, visiting Lalitha Palace Mahal was initially optional. However, after noticing the crowds at other attractions and seeing one of my friends feeling disappointed about missing out on good photo opportunities, I decided to take them to this beautiful palace. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip! Upon arrival, we were greeted at the security gate, where they asked whether we were staying or just visiting. The entry fee for visitors is ₹100 per person, which I found to be very reasonable considering what we got in return. Not only did we gain access to this stunning palace, but we also received complimentary tea or coffee and biscuits that we could claim inside by showing our tickets. The palace itself is a photographer's dream! With its magnificent architecture and beautiful surroundings, we were able to capture some truly stunning photos without the hassle of large crowds. In fact, it was quite peaceful compared to other tourist spots, allowing us to enjoy our time and take our time with the photography. We had a fantastic time exploring the palace and indulging in the complimentary snacks. The combination of beautiful scenery, fewer visitors, and a relaxed atmosphere made our visit to Lalitha Palace Mahal truly enjoyable. If you're looking for a picturesque spot in Mysore where you can take great photos without the crowds, I highly recommend making a stop here!
