We stayed at this "palace" and it was an experience. It's old but maintained, with a colonial-era vibe. The staff's super nice, and the greenery around is chill. But, the rooms need some TLC - leaky bathroom fixtures, chipped furniture, and a wonky TV. For the price, we expected more. The pool and garden view were highlights, though. Food was a pleasant surprise, especially breakfast. Kudos to the management for marketing it as a 3-star; our expectations were just right. Worth a visit, but maybe not the splurge.

The room was huge and facing towards Mysore main palace. It was brilliant when lit at night. Food is buffet style and lots of choice. Breakfast was equally good. It was a great experience to stay in an historical building such as this. Special mention to the watchman Girish he's so welcoming. And the manager took time to talk with us. All in all a great stay

DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE. We went to Lalitha Palace Mysore for dinner, and to our horror, the soup came with COCKROACHES in it. Yes, actual cockroaches floating in the food they served us. This is beyond unacceptable. It shows zero hygiene, zero care, and zero responsibility toward customers. If this is what ends up on the table, I can’t imagine how dirty the kitchen must be. What’s worse, the management didn’t seem shocked or apologetic—like it was no big deal. For a place that tries to market itself as “royal” and “palatial,” it was nothing short of a nightmare. Dirty, careless, and unsafe. Save yourself the regret. DO NOT eat here. Mysore has far better, cleaner restaurants where at least you won’t have to worry about cockroaches in your food.

Location, building is best. Its a Grand beautiful palace. Deluxe Rooms are ok ok. Old Furniture and old rusty look. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping is not up to mark. Needs improvement. One can stay here to have a palace experience at reasonable cost

The traditional ambience of the hotel is great. We will feel like living in the past. The property is great for people loving silence and nature. We could see rabbits hopping around at night from the balcony. Considering amenities and breakfast, there is scope for much improvement. Overall it's a great experience to stay, especially at night.

We visited Lalitha Mahal Palace on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it not too crowded — which made for a calm, unhurried experience. The entry fee was ₹100 per person, and it included a complimentary welcome drink, which was a nice gesture. The palace itself is breathtaking — a beautiful blend of regal architecture and historic elegance. The interiors, with their grand halls, chandeliers, and antique furniture, truly transport you back to the royal era. It’s easy to see why many movies have been filmed here, including the famous Tamil movie Muthu starring Rajinikanth. The cinematic atmosphere adds another layer of charm to the visit. Whether you’re a history lover, architecture enthusiast, or someone just looking for a quiet cultural escape in Mysore, Lalitha Mahal Palace is definitely worth a visit.

Palace turned hotel managed by JLR ( Jungle Lodges and Resorts ) group. I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lalit Palace Mysore, and it truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel's majestic architecture and stunning gardens transported me to a bygone era of royal grandeur. The rooms were lavishly appointed with elegant furnishings, and the service was impeccable. The staff were warm and attentive, catering to every need with a smile. The highlight was the delicious breakfast spread, featuring local specialties. Not many international cuisines or variety available on the breakfast spread. The scenic views of the palace gardens from the dining area added to the flavours.Obviously you can also sit and enjoy in the garden area. They have seating arrangements there as well. If you're looking for a luxurious and regal experience in Mysore, Hotel Lalit Palace can be truly considered. Overall it was good experience however reduced one star, as I felt there are many areas of negligence and they can do better.

The property exudes luxury and elegance upon arrival, offering a historic and sophisticated ambiance. However, the rooms and bathrooms require maintenance to meet the high standards set by the overall establishment. Additionally, the lack of proper ventilation in rooms results in an unpleasant odor upon entry. Despite these concerns, the property retains its charm and grandeur. With a few improvements, it has the potential to be one of the finest places to stay.
