MAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN HOLD UP!!!!
I finally got to try some of the new menu items at Lalo’s Mexican Dogos and OMG!!!
I remember first trying some of their amazing hotdogs when he was selling them on the front porch of his house. Everything was incredible back then and it still is now.
Their new location is inside of Brick’s Bar. As soon as we walked in and approached the bar, we were greeted by an energetic and kind young lady. I think her name was Sarah. We placed our order and she also made a few suggestions, which I’m really glad she did. I ordered the El Ray Burrito (make sure to ask for it “Wet”). I also ordered 2 dogos (Queso and Lalos Dogo). I ordered 1 of each taco (bistek and pollo) and I got an order of the asada fries😍
The first thing I tried was the asada fries and I’m not kidding when I say these were the best asada fries I’ve ever had!!! The fries were nice and crunchy on the outside and still soft in the middle. The bistek itself was very tender and seasoned to perfection. The toppings (cheese, queso, guacamole, sour cream) were a match made in heaven. We got the pico on the side (my wife doesn’t care for it) and it also came with some homemade ranch and some salsa verde. I poured both of them on the fries and took 1 bite and instantly knew I was eating something amazing.
The next thing I tried was the tacos. Both the bistek and pollo were perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy, as you can see in the picture. The corn tortillas were also on point!!! The grilled onions that came on the side couldn’t have been grilled any better😍
Although I’ve already had both of the hotdogs before, they were just as amazing as I remember. The buns were toasted to perfection and held together quite nicely. 10 out of 10 glizzies.
Now on to the main reason why I showed up. The El Ray burrito. For less than $10 you can feed a small family with this thing (check the picture for reference). All of the ingredients inside were meant for each other, but the best part was asking to “Make it wet”. They melt mozzarella on top and rest it atop a creamy tomatillo salsa. Heaven on a plate from a hotdog spot, located in a bar🤷🏼♂️
Last but not least, the horchata and the lemonade. Both were equally delicious and refreshing.
If you have yet to make you way over to Lalo’s, now is the time. Stop drooling over these pics and go see for yourself!!! There’s plenty of seating available.
