"L'Amandier at Palais Faraj The jewel in the Palais Faraj’s crown isits rooftop restaurant, L’Amandier. Perched above the medina like an eagle's nest, L’Amandier hasswanky contemporary decor and a vertigo-inducing terrace.Forgo the international menu for the superb Moroccan list, which takes its cues from the palace kitchens in Fes that were once considered the cradle of Moroccan gastronomy. Of special note: The Moroccan salads here are the best in town, and don't overlook somewhat out-of-the-ordinary dishes like Fassi stuffed cockerel or quail with angel-hair pasta."

Food is good, had the chicken Cesar salad and it was just ok. My husband had the salmon and he loved it. Service is great, nice staff. Prices are higher than any other restaurant in the Medina, but of course you are in a luxury hotel, so it is expected.

We had the pleasure of celebrating my partner’s birthday at L’Amandier – Palais Faraj Suites & Spa, and the experience was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was enchanting, but what truly made the evening special was our incredible waiter, Ismail Babache. His kindness, attention to detail, and warm presence turned a great dinner into an unforgettable memory. He anticipated our needs, guided us through the menu with genuine passion, and made us feel so welcomed and celebrated. The highlight of our meal was the beef tajine — rich, tender, perfectly spiced. Truly unforgettable, one of the best we’ve had in Morocco. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was 10/10, actually 100 and praise — heartfelt, elegant, and personal. We left with full hearts, grateful bellies, and the strong desire to return. Highly recommended for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself to something magical in Fes.

We went to the bar first and to the restaurant right after, they gave us a good table am although we didn’t have a reservation. We enjoyed the food and the service. Very expensive for what we have seen at Pes.

This is probably the best food we had in Fes. We went to Riad Fes Relais Chateau for dinner the night before. I have to say the setting is much much nicer in Riad Fes, but the French food here is much better. The John Dory filet is especially delicious.

L'Amandier is not just a culinary gem; it's also a place where the magic of live music enhances the overall dining experience. During my visit, I had the pleasure of enjoying the captivating performances of a talented trio of male musicians. The live music added a layer of enchantment to the evening, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The musicians' choice of songs complemented the ambiance perfectly, creating a soothing backdrop for our meal. Their skillful playing and harmonious melodies added to the overall charm of the restaurant. It was evident that the musicians were not only talented but also passionate about their craft. Their presence elevated the dining experience, making it feel like more than just a meal; it was an unforgettable evening of great food and live music. The combination of delectable cuisine, impeccable service, and the delightful live music trio at L'Amandier makes this restaurant a truly exceptional destination. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a memorable night out, L'Amandier offers a complete sensory experience that leaves you wanting to return for more.

Disappointing. We ate on a Sunday night and the restaurant was not crowded. We ordered the Mezze platter which was quite good and a strong start. But the main courses were not good. We had the scallop and sole roll ups and the sole did not seem fresh, and it came on a bed of quinoa that was dry and flavorless. We also had the fish of the day which was seabass. The fish was good but the vegetables it was on top of were cold, and the mashed potatoes it came with were cold and had greasy potato chips stuck in them. At no point did the waiter or manager check in to ask how our food was, even after removing our mostly full plates. Perhaps you need to stay with the Moroccan menu here? We were hoping for an upscale Mediterranean break from the typical local places we've been enjoying, but we didn't get it tonight.

Highly overpriced. Food tasts like paper. Without salt. Drinks extremely expensive (more than in munich) - for a Sprite 60 dirham/ ca 6 euros. Price for two dishes ca 58 euros inkl drinks. Don't go there!
