Very cute hotell with a cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff and good service. Food is very good here, high quality ingredients and skilled chefs. Some of the rooms needs renovations however. Some of the rooms were recently renovated, however my room was still probably from the 90s. Cleanliness is 5/5.

Our original plan was to stop off on Rødberg but the accommodation informed us that they had a large private function and that it may be a bit noisy. We therefore decided to change and book the Lampeland hotel instead.||We did not know that there was a village festival on until we arrived. The festival was nice and had local produce and makers. On check in we were told that it may go on until the early hours and that, whilst we have a room to the front, where the action was, if needed we could be moved. We were ok with the noise level until 10pm but we’re not made aware that there would be (loud) live music until past 1.30am. At this point we felt it was too late to move. We had the added dilemma of whether to open the window, as the temperature control in the room did not work and the room was very hot, and have the music at full blast or be enormously hot.||Apart from the noise, and the thought at 10pm that we should have moved earlier, the hotel is very nicely decorated. Rooms are a good size and staff are very friendly. ||Breakfast was nice just possibly lacking some warm option. The scrambled egg was fridge cold. But that’s just an aside and good choice and even option for a take away lunch package, at a reasonable extra cost.||Dogs allowed in the bedroom. We were given a room near the side exit as an easy convenience. Unfortunately our dog doesn’t like stepping on the metal grids. For others it may be perfect.||Good location for stop off along the way from A to B.

Surprised this hotel has a 4.3 rating ! The rooms are nothing special , breakfast is just ok, big minus though is the cleaning service..Only the basics, and I mean the really basics. Same situation at the restaurant. The staff is polite and ready to help you.

The room was ok, standard as expected. The staff was friendly but did lack some understanding of good customer service. Questions were answered by short answers and straight faces without a smile.
The hotel is marked as “dog friendly”, but we were told to take the back door because some guests didn’t like dogs. Never experienced this before, and we’ve had dogs at many hotels. Made us feel like second rate guests.
Breakfast opened at 8 am. This is at least one hour too late when you want to hit the road early.

The hotel met my expectations, but didn't realise that it is placed next to a petrol station!! Bizarre, at first, I just needed to get my head around it! Once done, entirely satisfied with what the hotel had to offer. The interior was lovely and had a cosy feel. The room was spacious and the breakfast was just delicious! An amazing array of food, lots to choose from. Just what was needed to start the day with fighting spirit! The staff were incredibly friendly and kind and also there was a selection of hot drinks to have at any time without additional charge. The main road was near, but no noise could be heard once inside.

I have just stayed overnight for a 2-day meeting. We were greeted as though we were visiting friends, the room was roomy, the entire hotel is filled with antiques that reflect the history of Norway, the food was fantastic, and all surrounded by a peaceful country location. Highly recommend!

Both the town and the Lampeland Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The town had a population of less than 1000 but they had a lot of visitors. Staying at the hotel was like visiting someone in their home. If you are visiting Oslo, this is a great day trip to do. The food was excellent and they have done their homework and have chosen the right wine for their dishes.

I stayed at the hotel along a few colleuges in late april. The hotel staff have a great attitude and the service is fantastic. I got a room on the top floor in the newer part of the hotel and I really could not ask for a better room. We were there for a meeting that took place over two days and so we used to meeting part of the hotel and it is very good and easy to use and there are a few meeting rooms available at the hotel. ||||The breakfast area is pretty big and the selection is very good, well above average I would say. Unfortunately the dinner and luch were not as good as the breakfast. I wouldn´t say it was bad, not at all but It just wasn´t all that special I´d say. Boring could be a word used to describe it.||||There is a great paved path between Lampeland and the next town and it´s fantastic to do a 10km run if you´re up for it !!!||||The overall experience was still very good and I do recommend this hotel for meetings and small conferences.
