"Lamplighter Morris St., The Fan Vcu by Mobelux. With each new addition to its growing empire, Lamplighter tweaks its recipe—to continued success. The Morris Street location took a monochromatic approach to its mid-campus location, with white subway tile, steel furniture, hanging black lamps, and the star, a matte black La Marzocco espresso machine. Their menu is a little more robust here (more baked goods, different sandwiches), but the coffee is just as much of a priority as it always has been. Get your Lamplighter lattes, drip (always two different roasts), strong cold brew, in addition to fantastic teas and other specialties like the Golden Milk Latte—a turmeric/milk blend. For a deep-VCU location, the coffeeshop is filled with all sorts of creatives, activists, neighbors, journalists, and even politicians. It doesn’t hurt that the massive patio directly next to a shady, green pocket park."
Beautiful coffee house. Wonderfully roasted beans brewed properly. Great espresso and milk drinks done by awesome people. Was really surprised by the quality of the food. I had a fantastic sandwich, not something you typically expect from a coffee house.
If you're in Richmond and appreciate great coffee, this is a stop you need to make!

Very cute little coffee shop with a nice hipster vibe. Great sandwich and wonderful coffee selection. The egg sandwich are freshly made. Very tasty. Tons of outside seating. Inside seating is a little low and intimate.

Espresso and cortado are great. Muffin also delicious! I own cafe and visited many hundreds of coffee shops around the world. I recommend it as a coffee expert.

Cozy coffee roaster spot with a small, but unique and delicious breakfast and lunch menu. I had iced thai coffee and the "grey matter" (chipotle marinated tofu, cashew aioli, arugula, sliced radishes, caramelized onions, on sourdough) sandwich and my husband had the "muna" (blt w/ avocado, egg, and spicy aoili) sandwich. Fresh and delicious! I definitely recommend.

First time visiting this establishment and I'm sorry it took me so long. Excellent coffee, I wanted something warm and soothing after having dinner at the pizzeria across the street, something to sip on and relax with on a beautiful spring day. Walked in and they had a seasonal lavender latte offering that piqued my curiosity and man was it nice and subtle. I think I will try their other seasonal option next, the maple oat latte, sounds awesome.

The second lamplighter location! In the heart of vcu. Expect to be surrounded by college kids, so depending on your vibe you may love it or not, or you might not care at all! It’s a beautifully renovated location, great service, fantastic coffee roasted by Lamplighter, and to top it off, delicious foods! Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Free wifi but please buy something to use it. Lots of seating! Indoors and outdoors. DEFINITELY worth a visit. If you want a slightly chiller vibe, visit the lamplighter on Addison. The OG shop.

Nichole at #SoulFunds and my review for Lamplighter.
First timer here! LATTE is good but I do love Dinamo's Latte better. It's good though!
Mediocre in size when comparing most of RVA's historically renovated hole'N'the walls/corner shops. This place is a building all on its own!! Haha! Don't that just sound cute? Or ... Lonely?
Okay of the sidetracked•ness.
For sum people, seems like a it's part of there current favorite ritualistic am routine walk°in~>walk°outs.
I am also here right now around 9:30 am (9:25 to be exact) and I didn't have a problem waiting for a seat. Seems like the psychological feel in how they chose their layout of the place will not have you waiting long for a seat if you do want to work on your laptop. CAN I GET A WHOOP WHOOP ta 💻⌨️🖥️Laptop°•hOpPin•° your not sitting on couches! lol. Wooden/metal stools with outlets🔌🔌🔌🔌<~ they have more than enough!!

Yelp
New fav Richmond coffee shop!!
This is the cutest, cozy, light-filled Blanchard's location. I love the cafeteria-style community table and variety of outdoor seating too. The garage door windows are such a vibe. I got an oat milk latte and not only were the cups so cute but it was delicious!!
Not a ton of seating options or plugs for working but a great spot to meet up with a friend for coffee.

Yelp
I got a flavored latte (hot). I honestly don't even remember the flavor combo even though I was there a month ago, but I remember liking it. I got my coffee to go and walked around the neighborhood, enjoying the cute houses nearby and seeing part of the campus. If I were a college student, I'd be there all the time. I don't live in Richmond but I liked it enough that I'd go back next time I'm in town or recommend to a friend if they are visiting Richmond.

Yelp
The bathroom and ambiance was very cozy. The coffee was just okay in my opinion and not very many options for food. I suggest this place if you want to get some work done or read a book versus bringing a coffee to go to enjoy!

Yelp
I prefer this Blanchard's location over the W Broad location! The vibe and aesthetic of this is super welcoming and cozy. The outdoor has plenty of seating, probably about 5 picnic tables. I tried the chai tea latte and it was SO GOOD.

Yelp
I witnessed some really nasty, unhygienic behavior by the staff and their friend. I watched a barista have a conversation with a friend, and the friend was putting their hands all over the espresso machine and coffee cups while picking their nose putting their fingers in her mouth. I also saw their hair touch multiple parts of the machine and the coffee cups. The barista then used one of those cups to make someone a drink. I made a complaint to the other barista working and she looked at me like I was crazy. I never saw them address it and they kept using those same cups that had her saliva, boogers, and hair all over them. Always get your coffee to go!!!

Yelp
I've tried the Forest Hill location and driven by the Scott's Addition location tons for times, but this location is off in the cut and I had noooo idea it even existed.
This location is a coffee store, versus a cafe. From the front it looks like a garage, and you enter around the back (side?). It's super cute and kinda has an adult cafeteria vibe going on. It's been well over a decade since I had the pleasure of sitting at a lunch table -- the nostalgia =D
According to their website, this location is their testing grounds for new offerings. The menu is really simple and easy to navigate and the service is friendly + fast. They also had a menu of seasonal options, which I ordered from. There's a refrigerator inside with bottled drinks and bags of coffee beans available for sale.
For my first drink, I got the winter au lait which had vanilla, ginger and cardamom. IT CAME IN A REAL MUG AND NOT A PAPER CUP. For my second drink, I got an iced peppermint mocha. Both were good and they remembered my name when I came up the second time. Also got an Americano to-go for my partner. Such cute to-go cups!
There's indoor and outdoor seating, and a teeny-tiny, (damn near microscopic!) park close by. Also- Did I mention that even the bathroom is cute af? Go here!

Yelp
The coffee was absolutely delicious! I got an oat milk latte, and the it milk they used was much better than what most other coffee shops use. The interior is also adorable. My favorite of the locations!

Yelp
Excellent coffee and excellent service. Ashley is the best barista I've ever had. She was unbelievably kind and deserved a raise!!!

Yelp
Both the interior and outside were very cute! I didn't have to wait long for my drinks at all and the barista was nice. I find that it isn't as crowded as the Broad Street location (at least for now).

Yelp
Good local roaster and coffee. Their midnight oil was very good/smooth. I enjoyed the reuse of the old gas station building and can imagine on a warm day the patio space being lively. The crowd was a wonderfully eclectic mix of VCU kids and others. I bought a bag of beans and that speaks volumes. Enjoy.

Yelp
Would give a 4.5 stars if I could. Great drinks and a few selections of snacks (cookies, muffins, scones, etc.). Just be wary that they do not take cash.
