"Offering an alternative to the faster West Coast Main Line, the Cumbrian Coast route that branches at Carnforth lingers along wind-blasted shores and mist-shrouded fringes of the Lake District, trading speed for dramatic sea-hugging views. Although it adds nearly three hours compared with the main line, the vistas of the Irish Sea’s crashing waves and the coastal stretches around St. Bees Head make the longer run richly rewarding." - James March

Older building but well maintained and clean. Nice looking lobby with clear view to the platform. Attached parking lot easily got full after rush hour, but there are additional parking spaces across the street.

This is the only train to take if you’re going to hit any other East Coast cities. I’ve never had a train from here that was very late. The staff is always super helpful. I’m just so glad that it’s an easy process. it is a very smoothly run train station and was certainly built over 100 years ago. Still chugging along.

It’s an older station, but it was neat, clean, and organized. There was a cafe and also vending machines inside. I didn’t drive but there is parking (but I think it’s paid parking). There’s a city bus stop across the street also.

I’ve been there before and I love the station. I’ve Railfanned on the platform with no issues and not a single problem from the staff. The train action is great and it’s my hobby. Best station I’ve been at.

New parking lot with plenty of FREE parking, just across the tracks, off of Keller Ave. Free shuttle bus that runs whenever the trains are, to take you to the station.
