Great location in the theatre district, close to a variety of eating establishments. I had high hopes.foe the hotel as they had sent a welcome text asking and asking if they could helpin any way. I put it to the test asking about.options.for.dinner and an instant reply with a n umber of restaurant's and cafe's nearby. Beautiful boutique hotel, that has a nod to the theatre in the decor. The information in the room about the hotel.and decor was so interesting, with the hotel using local artists and designers. The staff were very helpful, continental breakfast was more than enough to start the day exploring Melbourne. Rooms were large, good hot showers large towels and the beds and pillows provided were fantastic for a good night's sleep. Great place to stay in Melbourne.

Lancemore on Crossley is a standout stay. From the moment you arrive, the staff are genuinely welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The rooms are modern, clean, and well laid out — not oversized, but more than adequate and thoughtfully designed. A great touch is the complimentary drinks hour from 5–6pm, which adds real value and a relaxed, social vibe to the hotel. The location is a huge win: right in the heart of the action and within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants, and cafes. On top of all that, it’s incredibly well priced for what you get. Comfortable, well-located, and excellent value — I’d happily stay here again.

We booked this hotel primarily to be close enough to walk to the Australian Open, but not pay a fortune. We could not have asked for a better experience. Plus I got to meet Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils before their play began at the AO, as they were guests at the hotel's happy hour. (I even got to play table tennis with Mr. Monfils on the rooftop terrace! I was horrible, he was kind enough to be easy on me.) We walked or took a free tram everywhere - except the wildlife sanctuary which was two hours away by train and bus. And the staff -- Oh my goodness - I cannot sing their praises loudly enough! They helped us out so many times - always cheerfully! The nightly complimentary happy hour was great. The rooftop terrace was a nice place to sit and relax. And the beds and pillows were the best on our 3-week trip!

What a delight! Such a great place to call home for a couple of nights! This hotel has the best location surrounded by restaurants, theatres and bars. A gorgeous haven from the busy city. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were great. They have really thought of everything - including the number of power points and amazing smelling body wash! Thank you. We will be back!

I have lost count of the times I have stayed here now! This is the perfect boutique hotel. The staff are all amazing, not a hint of the attitude that can sometimes come with similar boutique hotels. The hosted drinks at 5pm are a must, meet other guests and chat with the staff before heading out. You can also take your drink up to the roof deck and check out the view. The area is fantastic, with every possible food option within walking distance or a quick, free, tram ride. The hotel is also a fantastic location if you are going to a show.

Fantastic place to stay. So cozy, quirky and comfortable. We have stayed here 4 times and every time its the little touches of care that put this hotel over the top and really make it a great boutique hotel. From the welcome text messages that ask if you have any questions and requests prior to your stay or the complimentary happy hour drinks in the bar of an evening. Location is excellent. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay somewhere a little different that doesn't feel to commercial or busy.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and seemed very happy to work there which is a great sign it's a good hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and the overall ambience was lovely and unique too, with an arty feel. The location is amazing, close to trams, easy walk to many places and fantastic food right there. Amenities and cleaning were well done. Everything worked properly. Value for money was good and we will absolutely happily book again. Thank you for our lovely stay. The air-conditioning system in our room felt a bit old school and provided a good amount of white noise - this wasn't an issue for us but I can understand why some would find it difficult. I'm not sure the thermostat was really working as it never got to the temperature we thought we were setting, however this didn't cause us any problems. We liked far more than we disliked!!

I stayed in the Lancemore King Room for four nights and was very impressed by the hotel’s location, which is its greatest feature. Being within Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone made getting around the city center cost-free and easy. Flinders Station is just a 15-minute walk away, allowing convenient travel to farther areas without hassle. The King Room itself is spacious with a huge, comfortable bed and immaculate cleanliness throughout. The service was exceptional — I arrived before check-in and they kindly stored my luggage while I went out, then had it delivered to my room by the time I returned after dinner. This warm, thoughtful gesture made my stay even more pleasant. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Given its combination of location, service, and room quality, I will definitely choose Lancemore Crossley St. again on my next Melbourne visit.
