Spent three nights at the Lancemore, the hotel has more of an intimate vibe as there are only 6 levels, Modern artsy feel. Rooms are spacious and fairly good soundproofing from other rooms. Even though the hotel was at full capacity, it sure didn’t feel it. Located at the edge of Chinatown and only a short stroll from a nearby tram station. Everything is walking distance! Staff were attentive and friendly. Oh also one of the better sleeps I’ve had at a hotel, I’m so particular about pillows or otherwise I get a sore neck although the pillows were perfect !! Would recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved our stay at Lancemore Crossley St! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The staff are lovely — friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist. Our room was spotless, warm, and blissfully quiet. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the Hunter toiletries and the pillow menu (a personal favourite!). The hotel is perfectly located for fab coffee, dining, and the theatre — everything is right on your doorstep. The parking arrangement with First Parking at 55 Bourke Street was also excellent — just a short stroll away, safe, close, and super convenient. The hotel's Happy Hour from 5–6pm was exceptional — beautiful regional wines, free-flowing, and served in a cosy, buzzing space with lots of other guests joining in. It had such a great, social feel without being over the top...a rarity these days! Everything about our stay was easy and enjoyable.

Such a sexy hotel in the best location! Staff were so helpful, professional and polite and the location is amazing!!! Coffee was so good. Housekeeping keep it immaculate. Even the other guests were all super friendly and fun. This will be my regular hotel in the city from now on.

Excellent hotel for a stay in Melbourne. The rooms are cosy, but are modern and nicely decorated with all the required amenities. The location is great, being very walkable to theatres, restaurants and public transport. The complimentary happy hour each evening was a very nice surprise too! The stand out would have to be the staff. They were all so welcoming and friendly, and provided lots of great recommendations for places to eat. Would definitely stay again!

The great service started days before arrival when Kristina the manager texted me about our arrival, offering any assistance she could. Being on a red eye flight to Melbourne, my daughter and I were anticipating arriving at the hotel around 8am, which is quite early. Of course, Kristina stated that she could make no promises, but would try her best to accommodate us.||We arrived at just after 8am. The front desk staff were quick and efficient at doing our pre-check-in and allowing us to leave our bags. Not even dreaming that our room would be ready before 11am (as official check in time was 2pm), we headed out for breakfast at a local cafe. We had barely ordered food and sat down with our coffees when the front desk staff called and said the room was ready! And our bags were waiting in the room! Fantastic stuff.||Room itself was very modern; queen-sized bed with clean linen, great floor space, good-sized TV, coffee / tea / well-stocked mini bar and snacks, modern bathroom amenities and ample storage space. Hotel is situated near the top of Little Bourke and hence is very quiet at night. Towels and shower accessories were replaced / replenished every day. Easy access to public transport, restaurants, shopping etc. We even had a courtesy umbrella in our room and access to more at the front desk to combat the variability that Melbourne weather presents!||Checkout was 10am and we were allowed to store our bags with the front desk staff and avail ourselves of the ground floor amenities for most of the day as our flight was not until 8pm. ||Definitely will stay here again when next in Melbourne!

Great location, close to public transport; comfortable, minimalist boutique hotel in quiet area of the CBD. Breakfast was excellent… best scrambled eggs with truffle oil ever! Happy hour with free flowing drinks - a chance to share experiences with other travellers. Staff were friendly, courteous & very helpful. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at Lancemore on Crossley Street with my daughter to celebrate her 21st birthday, and from the moment we booked, the experience was seamless and thoughtful. Even before we arrived, we received warm, welcoming texts checking if we had any special requests—such a lovely touch that set the tone for our stay.||From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. We arrived to a beautifully prepared room with a handwritten welcome card and a happy birthday note for my daughter, along with a chilled bottle of champagne. It made her feel so special and really added to the celebration.||We loved the little luxuries, like the complimentary afternoon happy hour, and the cozy morning atmosphere in the lounge where I enjoyed reading under the soft glow of the chandelier. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud—so soft and comfortable that we didn’t want to get up!||The location is absolutely perfect—tucked away just enough to feel private but close to everything. We strolled around the corner to Pellegrini’s for strong coffee and the most comforting spaghetti Bolognese, and we were blown away by the dumplings at Shanghai Street—possibly the best we’ve ever had.||The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, and the entire stay felt personal and relaxed. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to make memories with my daughter. We will definitely be back!

This is my 4th stay at Lancemore Crossley. Obviously if I keep returning it's because it ticks all the boxes.|Room, bedding, pillows and facilities suit me perfectly for the price. |Location at top of CBD in the theatre district, above Chinatown also is perfect for me - easy walk to lots favourite destinations and easy to hop on public transport if needed.|There are excellent bars and restaurants all over Melbourne, but I certainly like those close to the hotel.|Most of all it doesnt feel like a generic hotel - it feels Melbourne, be that the excellent personal service or the artworks. The video art in the lift was a bit glitchy this time but it always appeals to me and visiting friends. |And i rarely do minibar etc.... but it was great to grab a midnight snack without fear of being slugged with a stupid cost.
