Lancer's Inn Hotel Maseru

The food at Lancers Inn restaurant is absolutely amazing, fresh and perfectly cooked. Every dish I tried was a hit, especially their chicken delight pizza. I would highly recommend this place for a truly satisfying meal.

Centrally located in Maseru CBD, right in the heart of the city. Lancer’s has a robust history, having been a British Army post where the Lancers and the Cape Mounted Rifles found a base during colonial rule. Lancer’s Inn offers a great selection on their menu with a touch of Indian choices. They offer accommodation, conferencing, bar and spa facilities, within walking distance of all government offices, attractions such as the Makoanyane Square, Moshoeshoe’s statue, State Library, etc. The border with South Africa is just 5 minutes drive away. Lancer’s is very clean with good service.

I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and had excellent service. The staff at the reception went above and beyond when I had travel hijinks. The restaurant has quality food and I enjoyed the breakfast. The location is central and you can walk to Pioneer Mall in less than 15 min. There's also a ShopRite nearby. The staff are the definitely highlight of this place!

I stayed at Lancer’s Inn for 3 weeks in July 2024 and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel infrastructure is great and rooms are very nice and cosy. |More importantly, the staff are welcoming and take a sincere interest in making my stay as comfortable as possible.|The food was really good and the restaurant is quite popular. Huge thanks to Mr Justice and his team among whom specifically Ms Loli, Ms Senate.

Standard rooms with heated blankets and working wifi. The best place to stay if you have business in Central Maseru and don't want to be moving around a lot. The food is also nice and affordable. The service is top tier and very welcoming, just like the Basotho.

I have stayed at Lancers several times but not until now since the change of ownership. We had a two day conference and I stayed overnight. The room was comfortable and the food was excellent. The conference room service was patchy. I would definitely stay again as long as someone else pays the bill. The rooms now cost 2000 / night.

Additionally, the hotel boasts great facilities, including, free Wi-Fi and a swimming pool that offers a refreshing respite for guests wishing to relax or engage in leisure activities. Overall, Lancers Inn Hotel is highly recommended for travelers seeking a blend of comfort, convenience, and quality service in Maseru. Its strategic location, combined with the excellent amenities and the dedicated staff, ensures a memorable stay for both short-term and long-term visitors.

This is not only over priced but also horrific when it comes the way they do booking. The minute you arrive they ask you to send an email to make a booking, it's ok for the locals but if you are visiting from overseas you cannot access any data network so you stand there and they let your nightmare begin. To make matters worse, the staff is untrained with minimum hospitality ethics. The room door rattles with the breeze the whole night and there is no WiFi signal in any of the rooms even if you do get some signal in the reception area, it's hardly enough for a video call. The furniture inside the rooms are terrible, have a look at the attached image. I really don't know how they got their stars, they shouldn't be allowed to operate the hospitality business.
