I don't know why anyone bothers to stay on the Pest side. This hotel is on the Buda side and is closer to great baths, castle hill, and the chain bridge. We LOVED our view. We splurged for a river view room and it was well worth the money. We were on a high floor which ensured we had the best views. We will absolutely return to this hotel the next time we are in Budapest. The room size was perfect for the two of us. The bed was firmer than we'd prefer but that is really my only complaint about the room. The outlets were located in convenient places, and the shower/tub combo was just fine. Housekeeping was great and gave extra towels when we requested them, and the front desk was very helpful in booking taxis when we asked for it.

I couldn't have asked for more here and will return in due course. I loved the design and style throughout the hotel, and marvelled at its location, being on the quieter side of the Danube. I stayed in different rooms across two trips, one with a castle view, the other overlooking the river. The former was absolutely fine; the latter, however, was quite something, especially at night when everything was lit up. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance and the main shopping area isn't far; the main bus tours stop almost right outside too. Reception were helpful and efficient. The place was clean and in great condition. I'd implore anyone to visit beautiful Budapest and highly recommend Lanchid 19 for a comfortable stay.

Location, cleanliness, lobby, then again location :)||You literally can reach everything on foot. The view from the front of the hotel is splendid, overlooking the famous bridges. Parking lot is there, so it is simple if u arrive by car. ||U can take a break & a cup of coffee in the large & nicely designed lobby.

We stayed at Lanchid 19 for three days. My parents stay on high floor with river view. The view was breathtaking. (Better on high floor)We took lots of photo and video from the room balcony. After coming back to my hometown, I still repeat look at the photo that we took from the room, it reminds me about good days. :) Location was very good. We walk to Chain Bridge many times. There are bus and tram stop nearby. Lots of restaurants nearby. Most of Staff was nice, funny and helpful. I wish I can remember his/her name. Only one staff who didn’t know about free water for Marriott member force me to sign the bill when I ask for a bottle of water(there is a bottle of water on first and second night but it was missing on third day). Anyway, I do not hesitate to recommend my friends to stay at Lanchid when they visit Budapest.

Picked this hotel as part of a Teletext holiday (£135 for 2 nights B&B including flights!!) and was very pleased with room and location. We had a castle view room that was totally quiet though a river view would have been nice but as we spent most time sleeping it didn't really matter! Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs and various hot & cold meats. (Juice and coffee were superb) Receptionist Barbara was also extremely helpful as were her collegues. This was perfect for a short break and will not dissapoint.

Hotel got two stars only for location (beautiful view on the river) and friendly and helpful staff. They did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. However, the room is not in the freshest condition. Nice looking bathroom but no shower holder and the trash bin didn't work well. And the shampoo as well as body wash has very unpleasant smell.

Unfortunately, our stay was not good. We stayed 7 nights and got overcharged by about 40 Euros to the agreed price. Worse was the housekeeping. The bathroom got hardly cleaned. Coffee cups were put back in the cupboard, where you could clearly see brown spots from previous usage. We stayed in many design-/ boutique hotels in the past and never had such a bad experience. Just offering a room with a nice view doesn't make a good hotel or service.

The photos for this hotel are overselling it a lot - I'd guess there's probably one room that looks as spacious and luxurious as the photos. It's quite a basic hotel, nothing exclusive. Positives were: The location is great, really good restaurants and bars nearby, next to some of Budapest's biggest tourist spots and good for tram connections. We paid for a castle view room, which was good & possibly quieter at the back of the property with a small balcony. Bed was comfy and room was clean. I expected the room to be a bit bigger, and in better condition, a lot of the furniture was scuffed and old looking (but probably isn't, just the bright colours make it really obvious). A big annoyance was that they wouldn't accept card or euros for the city tax - it had to be forints (of which we didn't have many left and then wound up with a pile of useless coins). A nice place to stay if all you'll do is sleep there.
