We ordered three dishes, and all three were absolutely delicious. Great flavours and reasonable prices, it's just outside of the cable car but really serves fresh, delicious food.

I haven’t tried the food yet, but the cappuccino was exactly what I was looking for. It’s rare to find a good, foamy cappuccino made with vegan milk (oat in this case) in Portugal (especially on Madeira), but this place nailed it. The atmosphere is great, and they offer a fantastic range of beverages, from kombucha to coffees topped with a scoop of ice cream.

Really nice view and beautiful interior inside, but coffee and food were very much lacking. Both us and the table next to us said it felt like they forgot to season or salt our food. All very bland, coffee included. Nice for the view but not at all worth the price. Specialty coffee was also lacking and not one we enjoyed. Come for views but not for good food or coffee.

Cannot better the view, right next to the cable car. Cushioned seating. Quick and friendly service. The cheese sour bread toastie was divine, and the partner enjoyed the chocolate/ coconut cake. Steps down. Plenty of seating inside. Need to be prepared to share a table outside if you want the view / weather at times. Definitely recommend. Decent prices too.

absolutely better than the tourist experience I am used to. For the busy-ness of the area, this restaurant is a great experience, view and meal than the typical overpriced grub. I enjoyed the duck, albeit small, but pastrami and basil ice cream made up for it. the view is great on the deck and the inside has a great vibe. vegan options available too.

Land Food & Coffee serves tasty food at reasonable prices. The view that is visible from the restaurant’s balcony is gorgeous and it’s a perfect place to grab a bite after visiting Monte Palace. I ate the vegan burger served with chips, which had an eggplant patty along with lettuce, avocado and cashew mayonnaise that was delicious. Only complaints are that the service was a bit slow (though the restaurant was full when we ordered so it does make sense) and that the serving size of the lamb chops (not pictured) was rather small with only 3 small pieces of meat, but it was still overall a nice restaurant and definitely worth a visit.
