L&D Sapore Ravioli & Cheese

I found Sapore on Yelp when we needed a quick lunch spot. We dropped in on a Saturday just after 1. There's a small parking lot on the side. There's no seating inside but there are a few tables outside the shop. I ordered the Not So Chicken Little (chicken cutlet, homemade mozzarella, homemade roasted red peppers, balsamic vinegar, and oil) and hubby had the Dom (hot/sweet capicola, hot/sweet soppressata, ham, pepperoni, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, homemade roasted red peppers, balsamic vinegar, and oil). We both got a full size because we had no idea that it would be the size of an arm. The sandwiches were massive! So it was a great deal for the amount of food we got. We ended up eating half and were stuffed. I loved the chicken sandwich. Even though the chicken cutlet was a cold chicken cutlet, it managed to still be crispy and not oil-soaked. My only feedback would probably be the bread. It's a bit chewy so after a while, your jaw does get tired. I popped the leftovers into my panini press the next day, and it was still good - maybe even better since the bread was warm and toasted. They have a bunch of homemade pastas and raviolis (hence the name) that we couldn't take home this time. But if I am ever in the area again, I definitely want to come back and try a few boxes of those.

Happened upon this hidden gem on a whim! We got hungry and were driving through the area so googled "deli near me" and Sapore popped up. They were closing when we got there but they were happy to provide us with some prepared foods. We bought chicken cutlets, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and some bread. They added more bread and cutlets to our order for free because they were closing up shop for the night. The food was delicious, so much so that even though Sapore is nowhere near my house, I will do my best to swing by if I'm driving anywhere near it! The sun-dried tomatoes are amazing!!

Where do I even begin…My friend introduced me to Sapore Ravioli and Cheese and told me it would change my life. Life changing is an understatement. I ordered the Not So Chicken Little Sandwich and the first few bites were nothing short of mystical, spectacular, and breathtaking. I was truly left questioning why I was on this earth, and how can a sandwich taste so good. This sandwich is so good that I don’t even want to eat it because it’s so good. It should be admired and put in a museum for all to see. I truly think that Sapore’s is more than a deli, it’s a spiritual experience that one must try once in their life….or everyday if one can. Exceptional quality, exceptional service, greatest deli in the country.

WOW! It's like a perfect slice of Arthur Ave...right here in Middlesex, NJ(Arthur Ave is the Italian section of the Bronx). Sapore offers a dizzying array of ravioli, make amazing sandwiches to order, and sell a plethora of other Italian specialties! The variety of olives and other items in the cold cases are just mouth watering! And at the risk of stating the obvious...the fresh bread is awesome! Every time I stop in here is find a different treasure I've never noticed before!

Best sandwiches around.😀 The manger/owner? was very accommodating. I came in for a impromptu order for 40 people (mixed sandwhich platter). It was delicious. He threw in some salads and I had to get 🍪 too! He helped me to my car and all was well. 😄The volunteers enjoyed the food! 😋 Thank you so much!

best food ever!! I am obsessed with all the pasta, sauce and the fresh mozzarella is out of this world! they make it multiple times a day!

Best authentic Italian shop around. Home-made everything!! Raviolis and manicotti are my favorite to purchase and make for dinner with their meat sauce and a loaf of Italian bread. Grab a "chicken little sandwich (not so little) or American Dream sandwich for lunch, be sure you have someone to share it with. Fresh mozzarella and everything from olives to meatballs are to die for!! Love your business!!

This place is just awesome! They are crazy busy during lunch so order ahead, I did not shame on me! You won't be disappointed! I also want to thank them for how they treated me I am very grateful and will be back! Thank you for the veggie wrap it was worth my wait!
