"Munich's Authentic Cuisine with a Modern Twist Just a few minutes drive from Munich 's BMW Welt, I knew this restaurant was an authentic gem when I meandered in and was greeted by a large table of smiling Germans. Dressed in Lederhosens and Dirndls, they were toasting with German beers and Rieslings as they began their celebratory feast. If you think German food is only wienerschnitzel and sauerkraut, think again. Our 4 course meal at Landersdorfer & Innerhofer was prepared with the freshest of ingredients and is modern cuisine with a German twist, with dishes of garden-fresh vegetables, tender salmon and delicate chocolate cake with raspberries. The energy is more tame than Munich's Hofbrauhaus—you get the feeling that you’re sitting down for dinner in your German grandmother's dining room, with plenty of glass-clinking and warm conversation. You’ll leave Landersdorfer & Innerhofer with a full belly and a happy heart."

My experience at this restaurant was spectacular. The food and wine was excellent. The recommended wine was one of the best I've ever had (picture). The staff was attentive and helpful.

For anyone visiting Munich this is a must for a beautifully presented and exceptionally tasty meal. Amongst the best restaurants I've had the pleasure eating at anywhere in the world. A sensationel wine card too! The service staff are extremely attentive and friendly. We are left wanting for nothing more than that of which we recieved... Just so you know. There is no menu card. All allergies and food preferences are cleared first.... then come the culinary delights a plenty. (Sadly I didn't photograph our main meal and a couple of small in between dishes)

This is just a tiny bit out of the way for a tourist. This was evidenced by all the locals in business attire at lunch. The fixed menu for lunch was a good experience.

Took myself out for dinner, and was amazed by the service and delighted by the food. There was no menu, but every course was incredible.

The best fine dining food I had ever . The taste of both the salad and the lamb curry was impeccable!

Very unassuming external facade, but food… simply WOW. Despite being a vegetarian, I loved superb preparations and just the right spice level and quantity.

Yelp
Amazing experience there. Highly recommend it. Nice atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. They have a surprise menu with 4 courses so don't try to find a menu online. The price was very reasonable as well. I'd share all the plates we had but they will probably be different by the time you read this. If they offer you the sorbet before the last course PLEASE say yes! Never tried basil sorbet before and never thought I'd like it so much!

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! My daughter and I were walking around thinking of a place to eat. She wanted sushi, fortunately for us the sushi place we walked into had an off putting odor to it. So we happened upon this restaurant. From the first dish we knew this was going to be quite special. It was chefs choice for our meal, which was compromised of four dishes. I will always come here when we are in Munich! Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

Yelp
When I called this place and I asked if there was a dress code the hostess responded: "If you sit next to the French you're under-dressed, if you sit next to the Germans you're over-dressed". She then proceeded to cackle maniacally at me. That said, this was probably the best food I had in Germany and Austria but it came at a steep price for the quality (200 euro for two people). Excellent tasting menu, excellent wine pairings. Everything cooked perfectly, the presentation was exceptional, but nothing innovative or quite good enough to deserve the high cost. I'd expect to pay more like $150 USD in NYC for a similar quality meal.

Yelp
Easily in the top 10 meals I've enjoyed. There's no menu - you get a five course chef's menu. We had tuna sashimi, beef tartare, sea bass with celery cream and spinach, basil sorbet (heavenly!), lamb with roasted root vegetables, and there were two desserts: my companion had a chocolate torte and I had a divine creme brûlée. If you are in Munich, you owe it to yourself to eat here. I would recommend a reservation - we were there on Weds night and it was packed.

Yelp
Recently, we were in the restaurant Landersdorfer & Innerhofer in the Hackengasse in Munich. We had a table reserved via the internet form. In addition to the email confirmation we were called back three days prior the date whether the reservation is still valid from our side and whether the number of people is still correct. Nice service. By the way one should precisely examine in which of the restaurant one has reserved a table on the website! ;-) To go with the car to the restaurant is a game of fortune or you are wasting one. So, don't bother using the public transport. Unfortunately, all underground stations (Sendlinger Tor, Stachus and Marienplatz) are not really nearby. We were warmly welcomed and due to our early arrival we could choose a table. The furnishing is somewhere between comfortable and slightly rustic. One gets a 4-course surprise menu for a fixed price of round about 60 EUR (excl. beverage). But it is asked whether certain ingredients should be avoided. The menu can also be extended. The waiter/waitress asks during the meal whether another course for some extra money each is wished and of course what it is. The courses sound so good that we extended to the maximum amount of 6 courses. The prices are upmarket, but the food and the really attentive service are really high class and worth the money. Especially, I liked the basil sorbet, so my wife ordered secretly another portion for me. My wife who had birthday was honored with a little something. To summarize: willingly again
