Landgasthof Reitsamerhof | Wirtshaus & Hotel

We ate here recently as we were staying in an Airbnb in nearby Werfen. We were extremely impressed with this restaurant. We ordered the weinerschnitzel and it was the best we ate in Austria! The garlic cream soup was out of this world, cooked freshly to order a d absolutely delicious. The waiter incredibly friendly, and although he was not fluent, he spoke to us in English and understood perfectly what we were saying to him and what we had asked for, and he checked up on us during the meal and was very polite. The restaurant served typical Austrian dishes and is decorated the same way, very typically Austrian. There is free parking right outside. They accept card payments, which is why we ended up here as a different restaurant we had originally planned to visit was only accepting cash, but I'm very glad that happened as this restaurant was amazing!

Really tasty food, big portions, reasonable prices. Service is friendly and shows a lot of interest. Very cosy garden to sit and playground for kids.

I had some great food here with my family. The youngest is a fussy eater and it was no problem to ask for a combination of two dishes with some things removed. Excellent service and great food I'll be back whenever I'm in the area!

this has to be one of the rudest services I experienced since decades. The waitress (owner?) was making a scene when my wife ordered a small (kids) dish, I guess one has to stuff oneself on every visit to keep them happy. I explicitly asked if salad was vegan, which she confirmed and then brought me cream dressing. Never again.

Just stop to eat, to avoid the traffic and got probably the best meal I had in Austria.

I booked 2 rooms: one for 2 people and one for 3 (1 adult, 2 kids)- see the photo The gentleman that checked us in was extremely kind and offered to help with the luggage and really gave us a warm welcome. Both rooms offered everything that we needed and were super comfortable. Most importantly we all slept really well in the super quiet environment as the building is located behind the restaurant and thus further away from the street. The view from our balcony was also extremely pretty. Only things that could be better: On Sunday the damn church started ringing their bells already at 6am, which is complete lunacy And it would nice that the breakfast could be already included in the current room price. But we bought it separately and it offered a small but nice buffet selection of different breads, cheeses and cured meats.

Excellent traditional Austrian hotel. The hotel was spotless, staff were courteous, helpful and professional, food was very good. We only stayed for one night on our way back from holiday but will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
