A nicely kept, moderately sized hotel far enough away from the centre of Bad Durkheim to make driving easy and escape any crowds. Liked the comfortable room, the clean and modern bathroom, the breakfasts, the ample parking space and the relative ease of access from the main road. Wasn't sure what we'd find based on the photographs, but the interior outperformed expectations. Would happily stay here again.

Booked this hotel since all other properties in Bad Durkheim were sold out. The hotel is located around 25 minutes walk from the town center, on a quiet street. Reception staff is only available in the mornings and from 16:00 to 19:00 in the evening. When I arrived around 15:30 my room key has been waiting for me at the reception desk. The room was nice and clean, with a flat screen TV (mostly German channels) and a complimentary bottle of water. There is a balcony with a small table and two chairs. On the downside - WiFi is extremely slow, and the wardrobe is a bit small. Breakfast is ok, but not too much choice. Reception staff was nice and helpful.

Delightfully decorated rooms with wooden furniture, including wooden head and foot boards on the beds. The rooms have a patio with two chairs and a table, which came in handy with the hot summer weather during our stay there. No Air Conditioning in the old hotel, which has been undergoing some renovation work in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Bed linen is crisp and freshly ironed cotton duvet; however, the pillows are extremely flat and uncomfortable. The mattresses are very low to the floor and I did not find it to be comfortable. The hotel does provide a daily Breakfast, which offers a variety of fresh cold meats, breads, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and much more.

Very nice Hotel. Nice people. Very good breakfast. Very quiet. Easy too find a place for the car. Very close to the nature and for nice walks in the beautiful forest. Would imagine that a car is needed. On the other side I think it is too a good starting point with bicycle.

arrived at 16.00, the advertised reception start time. Waited around for 90 mins. when male receptionist arrived and unlocked doors. He told me I should have phoned....I had tried to but couldn't get a response. He then responded in a rude and dismissive manner, suggesting I find another hotel if I didn't like it....so I did. I'm pleased to say the alternative was excellent and the receptionist helpful and welcoming. I have not experienced such behaviour in a receptionist before and hope I don't in the future.

Recently updated family owned hotel. About a 20 minute walk to the main downtown area but close to the vineyards. Great breakfast and good parking
