A True Hidden Gem on Traunsee – A Must-Visit! The restaurant offers an absolutely unforgettable experience with a breathtaking view over the beautiful Traunsee. The seafood is simply outstanding — fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented, just as you can see in the photos. Every dish we tried was a delight, but the Schoko Miso is an absolute must — a unique and surprising dessert that you won’t want to miss. The atmosphere is elevated even further by amazing live piano music, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed yet elegant evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the entire visit. If this place were Michelin-rated, it would no doubt deserve to be a 5-star destination. Highly recommended — I would return in a heartbeat!

We chose a hotel in the town of Gmunden as a base for trips to the towns of Hallstatt and St. Gilgen, the hotel is located on the edge of a lake (a narrow road separates it from the lake), |The hotel is a family hotel and the hotel owner walks around among the guests and knows everyone. ||The room is large and simple, we got room 21 with a gorgeous view of the lake.||The towels have seen better days and do not meet the definition of large bath towels.||The hotel has a restaurant and the annoying part is that at 08:30 PM the kitchen closes,|It is problematic if you go for a trip and arrive at the hotel and want to have dinner. (It's like this in all the restaurants in Gmunden)||The breakfast is simple and if you didn't arrive early you find that some of the products run out and they don't always take care to refill unless you specifically ask.||The staff (which I think is part of the family, I didn't ask) is very, very nice and helpful.||Overall |The hotel is rated as a 3 star hotel and as such it met our needs and we will definitely recommend it to those who want to make a star trip in the area

Some of mountain view rooms are not suitable for tourists except for just cheap sleep. Restaurant patio has super excellent view on Traunsee lake. Breakfast was good and staffs were also kind.

We arrived from several countries to meet a local engineering company who recommended this hotel. The first thing you notice on arrival is it's incredible location right on the lake with adequate parking but positioned not to ruin the beautiful view. The hotel is family owned and you feel this as you enter with a friendly welcome making you feel like you have arrived at a distant relatives. The rooms are good size set over several floors with lift access. There are small culturally decorated rooms to escape on each floor for reading, working or enjoying the views with the opportunity to dine. The bar and restaurant have a view across the lake and a vast menu to choose from. More noticeable is the locals coming to drink and dine amongst the best residents. The owners and staff are extremely helpful and happy to recommend food or places to see. Highly recommended can't wait to return

Great selection of Austrian meals, including fresh fish from this magnificent lake. They also have lunch specials which are good value. If you can, stay there over night and experience the evening/morning.
