Landhotel Post

The hotel is an older building that has been renovated. Our room was surprisingly spacious – it seemed to be one of the largest double rooms in the hotel. The room was clean. The furniture wasn't new, but it was fully functional, not broken or unsightly. In fact, it created a pleasantly homely atmosphere. All the amenities in both the room and the bathroom worked well. The Wi-Fi ran without any issues. The windows can't be fully opened, only tilted for ventilation, but that wasn't a problem.||Upon arrival, you'll receive a SommerCard at the reception – a discount card that you can use, for example, when buying a ticket for the cable car to Feuerkogel. You'll also get a map of the surrounding area and tourist attractions, including those where discounts can be applied. |There's a parking lot in front of the hotel where you can leave your car.||Behind the hotel is St. Joseph's Church, and that's a bit of an issue. The church bells ring from 6 AM to 10 PM. Our room was on the other side, so the bells weren't too annoying. However, on the side facing the church, it could be quite unpleasant.||As other reviews mention, the breakfasts are quite varied and tasty. |On the other hand - by the sixth day of our stay, I was looking for something new, but that's probably the case everywhere.||I recommend renting bikes at the reception. They have trekking e-bikes (25 EUR/day) and mountain e-bikes (30 EUR/day). The bikes are in good condition, including the brakes, battery, etc. You can cycle around half the lake, go to Gmunden, or ascend to one of the surrounding lakes.

Everything was just fine during our 5 days holiday. We could choose between two upgraded rooms. Nearby church bells hardly audible in the morning when windows were closed. We got a pack of useful information material when checking in. Breakfast and half board excellent. Fast Wi-fi in the room. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Sauna working. Enough parking space.

I went here last night with friends, after hearing that Landhotel Post has an Indian menu for one month out of the year. First off, this made me so happy to hear and I was skeptical but everything was wonderful! The staff was friendly, charming and very professional. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. Our food was served so quickly and everyone was very attentive to us. And to my surprise, the food was delicious! I shared a two person platter and we even had plenty of leftovers to take home. I wish they would celebrate Indian month more than just once a year but I guess i should just be greatful they have it at all. This was my only experience at this restaurant, however I will be back in the near future to check out what else they serve because they seem really great.

The room was great and storage + charging for our bicycles was very ||convenient. As noted above the reception lady Gerda Leitner was Outstanding!! She was my Austrian Angel on getting care for my injured hand. She "pegged the meter" on service above and beyond the call of duty. We highly recommend this hotel and their outstanding staff.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, comfortable and nice. The food at the restaurant was excellent.The problems I found were:1) Housekeeping entered my room four times without knocking. I have never seen such rude behavior at any hotel.2) One waiter seemed to be new. He confused nearly every order, giving us wrong food and drink, and forgetting requests, Please make sure your new waiters are better trained.

This hotel was perfect - in the best location overlooking the lake and mountains, right beside the dock, and on the main square. Hotel has great amenities, everything from bed to bathroom was great. We loved our room with a big balcony overlooking the lake. The room was nicely decorated and had a huge bathroom. The breakfast was included and was very extensive and classy. All the staff were very friendly and professional. What a memorable visit to Ebensee! Go for the lake view, it's so worth it, so breathtakingly beautiful!!!

Its still a great location for the Feuerkogel, boat trips, trains to Hallstatt, boat hire in Traunkirchen etc etc. On arriving received a great welcome, car parking no problem. Room very airy, but no aircon. Room cleaned daily and little noise. Breakfast is a little poor as they dont serve anything hot ~ a bucket of mini sausages would change this. th town only has a few restaurants and a single wine bar behind the building.

Definitely the best place in this area! We (1adult+two kids) stayed in a double room apartment , which was very neat, two rooms and a pallor with a comfortable coach, we had a great kitchen aswel for cooking plus a very nice balcon with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was absolutely a win for us! You can find here whatever you need, coffee, all kinds of bread, cheese, boiled egss, hams….. Really anything what you can possibly desire in the morning :) The location of the hotel is very good, so many activities to do! You can rent car or bike here aswel! We will be definitely back to this amazing place :)
