8 Foods to Eat in Curaçao and Where to Try Them - AFAR
"An open-air Dutch-Indonesian experience centered on a rijsttafel (Indonesian rice table) served on an orchid-lined patio; expect a variety of toned-down Indonesian tapas such as rendang (beef stewed in spicy coconut and coconut milk), telur balado (deep-fried eggs in sambal), and other dishes accented with herbs and vegetables from the restaurant’s own garden, producing fiery flavors complemented by the tropical breeze." - Rosalind Cummings-Yeates
Amazing food. We ate here twice. Loved the surf and turf, everything cooked and seasoned to perfection. Second time we got the buffet, and tried many new foods (visiting from the US). We didn't stay here, but it's worth driving from anywhere on the island for a meal this good in a great open air environment.

Stopped here on Sunday for a hike, lunch, and a visit to the local market. We really enjoyed spending our day here!
The market had a great variety of items, and the live music added a fun touch of entertainment.
The food and service at the restaurant were both great, and the atmosphere was really nice, cozy and welcoming.

Food was delicious and service was great. We bought a painting from the owner and wanted a clean version, so he came out to get us one and personally signed the art. Hidden gem. Best food we had on the island. The steak au poivre was great as well as the fondue, plus best cheese balls we’ve tried.

We ate in this restaurant on a week nite. We enjoyed the rice dinner for three. Each dish was excellent. Nice cocktails too. The service was excellent. Total bill was $246 (local). Parking was plentiful.

Stopped here for dinner and was delightfully surprised by the wonderful ambience and food. Open air seating, clean and pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared and reasonably priced. Good kids menu. Service was attentive and fast. Cute pigs on the property were a bonus.

Breakfast here is unreal and not to be missed. Vietnamese coffee and French toast with dolce de leche? Yes please. We also had dinner here and really enjoyed the meal. It's quaint and quiet, certainly a change up from the more explosive restaurants of Willemstad, but it's a welcomed change when you want some fantastic food under a more rural setting.

I’ve been coming to Curaçao for 15 years and just now discovered breakfast at Landhuis Daniel. What a gem! The Vietnamese iced coffee is hands down the best I’ve had on the island, and the dulce de leche French toast is something I’ll be dreaming about. They serve mint tea with fresh-picked leaves from the garden—simple and perfect. We loved it so much we came back twice in one week, and honestly could have had that incredible espresso iced coffee every day. The vibe is relaxed, the staff is warm and welcoming, and there’s even an art gallery just off the patio with beautiful pieces for sale. Highly recommend stopping by!
