While yes, it could probably use an update, the grounds are beautiful, the location is great, and rooms are nice and have everything you need. Some areas still carry the remnants of years past when smoking was allowed, so maybe new carpet? But other than that, everything was fine to great. We enjoyed our time over a long weekend and would definitely come back for a longer stay and enjoy more of the property and amenities.

Stayed here for a week and had a great time! Would be better if it was closer to town but it had a park, tennis courts, basketball courts, 2 outdoor pools (1 heated 1 not), 1 indoor pool, and 1 hot tub outside. So we ended up having everything we needed and had a lot of fun to! Sunsets are beautiful so make sure to go outside and watch!

Stayed two nights and will not be back. BUYER BEWARE!! This was by far one of the worst places I have ever stayed. From the outside it looks ok and from the pictures on their website it looks okay. Upon arrival you could smell an older odor in the hallways (smoke? not cleanly). Getting in our room the smell did not smell clean; it had what I can only describe as "dirty and smokey". The next day we woke up and it smelled moldy. Went into the cabinet to get a towel for a shower and the mold smell was overpowering. The towel had a brown substance on it, the one next to it and below it did also. I then noticed something on it that resembled mold. Come to find out, the ceiling in the cabinet was leaking. It was completely molded and borderline rotted. At one point it leaked so bad it leaked from the cabinet to the toilet seat. Called the front desk for different towels and they said they were calling maintenance. Never heard from anyone there again and proceeded to go to our event. I emailed them after my stay so they could see pictures and for obvious documentations. They did give me a refund of $113.50 (total for two nights was $603.82), admitted a room change should have been offered and the room should have never been rented out in that condition. While I understand a refund was at least given, one so small is a slap in the face. I did respond and let them know that the amount was unacceptable in a room that shouldn't have been occupied to begin with and was told "the leak began after housekeeping had completed their work and prior to our arrival". Read the reviews carefully, if they are willing to rent out a room that smells like mold imagine how cleanly everything else is.

Nice place. We stayed in two rooms because of booking problems. One smelled pretty funny. AC is a later add-on to these rooms so it's not the best climate controls. It's pretty clean, but things all show signs of aging.

Google
On first impression, I was impressed by the resort in general. The location and view of the lake is breathtaking. I love that the buildings are tucked in the woods. The park and pools are awesome for families with kids. The kitchen in our room was fully stocked with silverware, plates, cups, paper towels and dishwasher soap. I love the electric fireplace and living room area. All that being said, there are many reasons why I would not return. My stay for 3 days cost $1136. The room and hallways smell musty to the point that it's off putting. The bathroom is incredibly small. The balcony is dirty and full of cobwebs. The biggest reason I will not return is that the shower barely worked. I turned it on and nothing happened. I kept messing with the faucet and finally a trickle came out. When I finally started the shower there was no water pressure. The water came out so weak I had to have my back against the wall to get any water on me. The shower head was incredibly short too. I did not shower after that. For the amount of money my family and I paid, it's unacceptable that we didn't have a working shower.

Google
Public areas were very nice, both indoor and outdoor. I appreciated the free charging stations for EVs. The grounds were well maintained, and plenty of parking was close to every building. Rooms need updating - decor is stuck in the 1970s, dark. And the blasted recycling/trash bin outsets the entrance needs to go - there was a loud bang every time it was used, which annoyed everyone on the entrance side of the building.

What a great time to visit Door County! We've been to Door County twice before, Labor Day Weekend, and late fall. This time, mid-late April. We were told the spring season is not busy. It was very quiet and peaceful! Our room (#1213) had an amazing view of the bay from inside and outside on the balcony. I could have stared out the window all day if there weren't other things to explore! The condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was small but well stocked. We had plenty of towels, and the bathroom was very clean. I loved that there was a hot tub in the building. We did not have to venture out to the main building. The lobby of our building had a great room with a gas fireplace and more amazing views of the bay. It was only my husband and myself, but we pulled out the sofa sleeper to see what it was like. To our surprise, it was a comfortable foam mattress! No springs or middle bar that digs into your back! We only stayed one night but plan to come back. Definitely going to request the same room so that I can have my morning coffee on the balcony when it's a bit warmer out! One of the best parts is that The Landmark has electric vehicle chargers that are FREE to guests! We plugged in and left the resort with 100% battery for our trip home - making for a totally stress free vacation!

Google
Nice enough place. Decent room with a kitchenette. However, the room smelled musty and the whole place needs new carpet and to be freshened up. Could not enjoy our patio because of the mosquitos that seemed to like to hang out there. It is also not walking distance to either the harbor or town. This was our first trip to Door County and I would definitely pick another place next time. Nice view from our room.

Yelp
Even in the early spring this resort is lovely. Landscaping compliments the beautiful views of Green Bay. Our unit is clean and cozy and well appointed. Very comfortable bed. We came here for a very large meeting that lasted the weekend with different social functions. Front of the house staff were so friendly and accommodating, food service in the Carrington restaurant was delicious. We have been here for summer visits and outdoor facilities, pools fire pit areas great. Great place for family and friend to get together. Our happy place!!

Yelp
We stayed in the Landmark Resort- Egg Harbor, Wi - and while it has some charm, the overall experience was more "meh" than memorable. The property is surrounded by woods, which gives it a peaceful, cabin in the north-woods kind of vibe. The lake views are really gorgeous but good luck getting one... By the time we checked in all those rooms were taken, so we ended up with a stunning view of a parking lot and some trees. Postcard material, if the postcard is from a rest stop! Walking into the room, the first thing that hit us was this strong, leftover food smell - like someone had just cooked something super spicy and the scent decided to stay for the weekend. It wasn't exactly the fresh, clean place we were hoping for. And to top it off the other side of the building had its own thing going on - its own kind of funky, musty odor that hung in the air. Not AWFUL, but noticeable. Not the kind of scent that says "welcome" more like "something weird went in the walls". The room did not do itself any favors either, there were dust, and dirt in random spots, and when we made the mistake of checking under the couch and cushions, we discovered a little time capsule of old food crumbs and debris. Cozy! It looked like the furniture had not been updated in a while - unless " 1990s cabin chic" is making a comeback. On the bright side, the shower actually worked pretty well - hot water, great pressure. Honestly that was probably the highlight of the room. Outside there is some tennis courts , and a basketball hoop. Which is a nice touch if you are into that kind of thing, ( or if you need to burn off frustration from your room situation.) Overall the Landmark has potential - the location is solid and the grounds are peaceful - but the rooms REALLY need more attention and care. If they put in the effort to clean better and refresh the interiors, this could be a great spot. Until then, maybe bring some freshener, and DO NOT look under the cushions, and keep your expectations in check!

Yelp
We were not told that our rooms were on the second floor. We were expecting two beds on the main floor , one loft. But two beds were lofted. Unit was very dark. Woods is nice but this was too dark and dreary. One of our party was 91 so being on the second floor was inconvenient. All in all disappointing

Yelp
The Landmark is a very mediocre property. There are so many places to rent for your vacation in Door County that I would encourage you to look for something nicer that's located near the water and all the fun restaurants and shops. This place is out in the woods and not within walking distance to anything. Especially if it's your first time to Door County, get something that's more centrally located so you can really enjoy the area. Positives: - The pools are nice - there are at least a couple outside and a really nice one inside. I think each building has its own hot tub. - There's plenty of parking. - There are lots of outside grills and sitting areas - good for families. - Some of the condos have views of the water, albeit the water is very far away. - Our condo was ready early which was really nice. - The indoor common areas have some nice views as do some outdoor decks. - The bed was decent. - The staff were nice. Negatives: - The condos are outdated. The refrigerator was very old. - The only spacious part of our condo was the living room. The bathroom and bedroom were tiny. The balcony was tiny. The bed was wedged between tall shelving units on both sides which felt very closed in. - The heating and cooling system is a split unit on the wall - no central air or heat. The unit does not keep the whole condo at a comfortable temperature. - Our family traveling together was split into three separate buildings which are not close together. - The condo is not like a hotel room - it belongs to someone. Ours had the people's last name on the front door. You're staying in someone's house. - The location is in the woods and not walkable to anything. You have to drive to shops, restaurants, the water, etc. It's feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. - The common areas have grungy carpet and smell old. - You'd think the condos would have a washer and dryer, but nope. - Our condo was on the first floor right by a pool and walkway, so even though the living room had nice big windows, we had to keep the blinds closed on half the windows so people didn't look straight in. I'd consider getting a higher floor if you want any privacy at all. I should have reviewed what my family was booking because I would not have booked this place. The Landmark was a disappointment and I will not stay here again.

Yelp
Overall this is a good resort in a beautiful location.  Rooms here are centrally managed but privately owned so there will be some variation in decor and condition although most of the furnishings look similar.  There are 16 room types ranging from 1-3 bedrooms with king/queen bed variations and all have full kitchens which is convenient.  However because there are so many room types it's very important to know what you are getting or you could end up being really disappointed - Having stayed in 4 room types here this would be my general advice in choosing a room: Lake view is better than "woods" view ("woods" view one bedrooms are on the parking lot level (2nd floor) looking out at the parking lot through some trees). Lake view on 2nd and 3rd floor is preferable than the lower level (1st floor) which may not have much of a view but more natural light than woods view "Premier" rooms come with a much larger living room area so much better for extended stays (if I were to stay here again the lake view premier one bedroom will definitely be my first choice). If lake view rooms are not available and you have to book a woods view room - go for a two bedroom suite with loft which is located on the 3rd floor (one level up from the parking lot).  These rooms have much higher ceilings (due to the loft) and more natural light than the rooms below.  Even if you don't need the second bedroom it's fun to sleep in the loft. Now in case you have to book a one bedroom woods view room, don't get one that is right next to an entrance.  Being on the ground floor these rooms are already super dark and cave like, but if it's also right next to an entrance you won't even be able to keep the blinds open as there will be no privacy.  All rooms have a patio but the patio right next to an entrance and walkway is practically useless (we stayed in this room for one night and it was miserable). If you like your room here, you'll have a great time.  Room decor a bit old fashioned - lots of brown colors, and the beds tend to be too soft, but clean and comfortable enough and the showers are hot and strong. There are several buildings and each has its own pool (to splash in but not really for swimming). There is a pretty walking trail on the grounds and tennis courts. The restaurant is good with a nice outdoor deck with sunset views. Downtown Egg Harbor is a short drive or a  medium walk away.   Service is excellent - we had to change rooms a few times (had to get out of the first one and the place was full with no other rooms available for more than one to two nights) and staff was really helpful in making sure the changeover went smoothly.

Yelp
Landmark is always our first choice when we visit Door County- always clean rooms, wonderful staff, great views, top quality restaurant, beautiful grounds. We always notice improvements made around the buildings and we are always impressed!

Yelp
We had such a nice stay at the Landmark Resort. The front desk was so helpful, the room was spacious, clean and felt like home. The kitchenette was nice to have with a full sized fridge and everything you could want. The grounds were laid out well with buildings connected to the main office and pool. Very nice accommodations!

Yelp
I rate the landmark a 0. Very dirty rooms. We moved to 3 different rooms and finally staying in the 3rd one but all nasty rooms. The carpet in all 3 was discussing dirty, stained and damp. The bathrooms dirty too. The pool area not to bad. The only reason we stayed couldn't get refund. I would never refer the landmark resort to anyone. Had to post a star but it's a BIG 0

Yelp
This was a nice place to stay. Starting to get old and is in need of updates. The girl at the front desk when we checked in, needs to be coached on explaining the lay of the land and have a much better personality to talk with the guests. Her attitude was like we were interferring with her time. As far as the rooms themselves, clean and beautiful views. We stayed at the Navigator and the whirlpool inside was hot and worked great. The sauna was closed and out of order. If I ever get back to Door County, this is the place I would stay. Hopefully things will be updated by than.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quiet, summer or early fall Door County getaway, this is not the place for you. The outdoor pools were mobbed with screaming kids from 7:30 AM until 10 PM, even though the pools are supposed to close at dusk. This rule was not recognized by staff or guests. Imagine having a Wisconsin Dells waterpark right outside of your window. That's what it sounded like. Our condo was quite cramped, small kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. And the outdoor patio is not designed for more than one person, very difficult to navigate. Plus, we stayed for three nights and were never once contacted by housekeeping or the front desk to see if we needed anything (we took two towels from the pool area because the condo only had four when we arrived and had to make do with thimble-sized tubes of shampoo and shower gel). I'm guessing the atmosphere would be different in late fall or in non-outdoor pool seasons but I would not recommend staying here from June through September.

Yelp
A few girlfriends and I decided to take a last minute trip to Door County the second weekend of October 2020. We searched for hours online trying to find the perfect place - they left where to stay to the most indecisive people in our group of 4 But this was the most perfect place! It is beautiful and has many amenities to offer. They had a 24/7 indoor pool with hot tub, outside fire pit and a onsite bar and grill. The place was adorable and outside our window was beautiful fall foliage! It has 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The entire weekend was an adventure exploring Door County, and checking into this resort set the stage for the best, fun weekend us ladies needed! I would stay here again, and most likely this will be my spot anytime we go back to Door County.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I got married in Door County at a different venue than Landmark Resort, but I reserved a lodging block for my guests here. I booked a lodging block here specifically for the fact they advertised their pub bar was open until 2am on weekends (Friday & Saturday). I wanted my guests to have the option of continuing the post-wedding festivities if they desired without having to drive to a bar. I spoke with the sales coordinator to ensure the bar would stay open for us. She said the only way the bar would close would be if the wedding after party got "too rowdy" or if there were "very few people left" then the bartender has the option to close a little early. My guests started arriving around 11pm and the bar was already shut down. How is closing the bar at 11pm "a little early?" Especially when they knew wedding guests were staying at the resort and they were told in advance guests would be going there after the wedding. Same thing happened the next night on Saturday, some of my guests attempted to go to the bar at 9pm and were told by the bartender they were closing. Again, how is closing at 9pm on a Saturday when you're advertising you're open until 2am closing "a little early?" Seems like A LOT early to me. When I inquired about this they said they closed due to being slow. Maybe they should just adjust their advertised open hours for the pub if not being busy is a regular occurrence. Then maybe they wouldn't have unhappy customers.

Yelp
My husband and I booked a suite at the Landmark with my parents in celebration of our wedding and as a place to unwind after a long day of wine tastings on the trail and it was gorgeous! We were only able to stay one night and we are wishing it was longer. The suites were lavish, clean, wide open, a stunning view on the waterfront where we got some breathtaking photos (it stormed that night.) The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We had a broken wine corkscrew in our room and they brought us a new one from the main office within minutes! I'd recommend this resort to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway that is minutes from restaurants and shops. We will be back!

Yelp
We came to Landmark to enjoy a socially-distanced getaway during the quieter winter season in Door County and LOVED our stay at the Landmark. We felt very safe - the resort took safety and cleaning precautions very seriously: 1 person at checkin, masks, sanitizer, etc. Our room was sparkling clean and Jeff, the receptionist for the evening, even called after we'd gotten settled in to make sure everything was up to snuff and to see if we needed anything. Being the current times, daily service was not available but they'd left more than enough linens, towels, toiletries, etc. that we didn't need to worry at all. We loved the gorgeous view of the water and next time will definitely plan ahead so we can use the whirlpool or make time for a walk on the nearby Pattie's Path trail. Overall really loved our stay and are excited to come back again soon!

Yelp
We came to Door County a week ago for the first time and were very impressed with this hotel! Beautiful grounds with all the trees and a view of the bay. Our room was in the Navigator building on the second floor overlooking the bay. Our room was very spacious with a full size kitchen, dining area and living room. Housekeeping left extra toiletries outside our room even when putting the do not disturb on the door which was a nice touch! We came late in the season so the outdoor pool was already closed but they have a very nice indoor pool in the main building. Also the check in process was great. The woman at the desk was very friendly and helpful since it was our first time there. Highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
This place is awsome !!!!!!! we love it and come every year. Chris at the front desk was very helpfull. The view is to die for. Very well maintained and clean I enjoy the pool and steam room and so does my son.

Yelp
Our family had a great time at the Landmark Resort. The lodging is comfortable, clean, spacious, and reasonably priced. We appreciated the restaurant on property, wooded walking trail, pools, fitness center, and close proximity to the Egg Harbor beach.

Yelp
The resort is overall very nice, beautiful views, and a great location for touring Door County. Couple issues as others have mentioned as well: beds are uncomfortable and wi-fi is spotty. I had an emergency work issue that needed attending and I was unable to access wifi from our bldg so I went to the main lobby. I mentioned the wifi issue to the front desk, she made a phone call to someone who I assume would repair it. I proceeded to attempt to work from my ipad for an hour and a half without much luck when I desperately asked if I could use a computer to get done what I needed to. The girl responded, "Oh, there is a computer right around the corner!" Seriously!?!?!?!? Why let me sit there that long without offering the suggestion in the first place. Anyway, I was able to complete my work in 5 minutes and continue on with enjoying Door County. Room was clean, bright and spacious for 3 people. We did not try the restaurant or the pools but they both looked great and we would probably use on our next visit. I would definately stay here again.

Vardhini C.

Yelp
Very clean and nice place. Perfect size condo. We dint hv to cook anything. But everything seemed to be provided in good condition. The appliances seemed old. But we never used any. Nice view of the lake from the lobby. Next time we will make it a point to request for lake View room. Pool size is decent which is in the main building.

Yelp
WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN! I should call the health department. Food poisoning from their restaurant and dismissed with nasty remarks from the hotel's front-end manager. This place should be shut down, it's so gross.

John F.

Yelp
We stayed here while visiting Door County and everything was great. Our room was a suite with a King bed. There is a full size refrigerator and a stove. We selected the water view when booking and had a good view of the Bay. What I found while booking is that you will save money booking directly on the Landmark website over using any of the popular booking sites. I saved $20 per night on the cost of the room. This hotel is set up in several buildings. We had a hot tub and sauna in our building while the indoor pool (very nice) is in the check in building which is a couple block walk from our building. I highly recommend this hotel as a base of operation to see Door County.

Lisa R.

Yelp
Beautiful resort. Rooms are nice size. Three outdoor pools and a indoor pool. Lots to see and do on resort. Down town shopping is about a mile away. Great girls getaway, family reunion, etc.. free coffee 24/7 in lobby.. big plus for me. Coffee lover here.. only one thing I think should change is that don't need to clean a person room at 9am Some people are just getting up or still a sleep. Over all this is s fabulous resort. Just go to town if you are looking to eat out. The Carrington restaurant we will never go back to. Under staff Rude, meal not great and over priced. Online prices are different then menu in restaurant.
google avatar

Holly B.

Yelp
It took a year to respond, case in point. No thank you. You missed the entire point if you're focusing on the couch mattress and bottled water. Perhaps, you need to hire a fresh pair of eyes.
google avatar

Frances T.

Yelp
Nice spacious rooms condo's. Nice pool hot tub. Good view of lake. Restaurant could be better. Some staff not friendly. Some are.
google avatar

Jaime R.

Yelp
Frequent visitor, have never had a bad experience. Ron at the front desk has awesome people skills! Kudos!! Love the amentities and nature. View isn't bad either. The only downside to this trip was that my family stated the continental breakfast bakery had a bad taste. (not fresh).
google avatar

Talibah M.

Yelp
This resort had everything we needed for a short weekend. Quiet, cozy and clean. The space has a restaurant and had karaoke on Saturday night which was hilarious and cute at the same time. We like the fact that each building had their own hot tub, even though the one in Harbor was more like a "warm" tub. The front desk said it had just recently been fixed and we could use the ones in another building. We opted out because it was too cold to be outside and wet. The staff was really nice and the view is beautiful.

Kristin F.

Yelp
I have stayed at Landmark many times over the years and always had a nice experience- unfortunately it seems that time and possibly a COVID year have not been kind to the place. The rooms and buildings are in great need of updates and a really good cleaning. The air conditioning system is not adequate to cool the place if there is an enclosed bedroom. In addition if you want to go with two couples the open loft is not ideal. Food in the restaurant was only ok for the price. I love Door County but may explore other options going forward.
google avatar

Zach O.

Yelp
My family and I were only able to stay at the Landmark for 1 night, but we will absolutely be back. The location is just beautiful. The resort is completely tucked back into the woods and was completely silent. The resort offers just about everything you could possibly ask for, several pools (2 of which sit with a great view over the lake), tennis courts, a restaurant, etc. The Landmark had everything EXCEPT for breakfast. I am used to hotels at least offering something, not offering breakfast was a huge letdown. The staff was quick, efficient, and took care of us as quickly as possible. The best part of this hotel was that it was quiet. They were booked to capacity during our stay but we rarely heard a single word from anyone else in the resort. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay and make use of the pool by the Navigator, amazing views.
google avatar

Yelp
I was surprised to see the low reviews of the Landmark Resort so I decided to chime in. My family has been coming here every other year on Columbus Day weekend for the past 20+ years. The only time we have been dissatisfied was when we couldn't get the largest room for our family. That was our own fault for booking so late (we usually book exactly 1 year out) but it's ok - it was worth it to pull out the sleeper sofa. We've been lucky enough to get the largest suites (usually in the Navigator), which I think are maybe more updated than the smaller rooms. I only say that because we've never dealt with any smells, mold, etc. The resort is wooded with nice views of the lake and woods and some nice amenities - a few pools (indoor and outdoor), a nice restaurant and free cider at the main building. Somebody else mentioned breakfast - I agree, as my favorite meal of the day I would love to be able to walk from our room to the restaurant for breakfast. However, we do ok making breakfast in the kitchen of our suite. They also have a shuttle that takes you down the hill into Egg Harbor for the Pumpkin Festival and seem to have shuttles for other events throughout the year as well. I have only been here in the fall but am thinking of coming back in the summer.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Landmark twice on relatively short trips (the first for several nights, the second for one night), and I've really loved it both times. Sure, you could probably find a fancier place. But the views are gorgeous (especially on the water side of the resort), the suites are always clean and well-maintained, the staff are friendly and professional, and the price is great. It's a little more expensive if you go during the busy season, but even then, you get a suite with a kitchen, dining area, living area, and balcony for what you could pay at a hotel (where you'd only get a bed and a bathroom). I've never been to the restaurant, so I can't comment on that, but the Landmark is a great experience. Well worth it!

Sue F.

Yelp
Overpriced, overrated. Rooms are small and facilities are outdated. Balcony was small and dirty couldn't sit out there. Old beer can on balcony. Pop tops in room. Left with question of how clean it was. Will not be back.

Donna R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. Some units are really modern / updated some are a little dated, but charming. These are condos with bedroom and bath upstairs and downstairs. Decks, hot tubs and swimming pools. Grills available to bbq on. Kitchens equipped if you want to cook. Always a pleasant stay and very nice staff. Beautiful grounds!! Restaurant has a beautiful view.

Jan C.

Yelp
The lake view is lovely! We enjoyed the location in the woods. We had easy access to everything in the resort; indoor pool & spa, outdoor pool and decks as well as the restaurant and walking path. We were part of a larger party so the gathering areas inside & out accommodated us easily. Our room had everything we needed.

Kim C.

Yelp
This is our 4th trip to Door Co. and we have stayed at the Landmark each time. We love the layout and how it feels like we are in the woods more than at a hotel. The staff is always pleasant. They have some activities basketball 1/2 court, tennis courts and a nice pool and hot tub. Unfortunately they closed the sauna temporarily due to Covid which made no sense to us with the other amenities open. It's always very clean. A very nice place to stay. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights while in the area for business. I didn't get much of a chance to take advantage of the amenities available, but I did have time to appreciate the resort's wooded location. As so reviewers noted, most of the suites here are privately owned condos that the resort rents out when the owners aren't in town. The suite I stayed in was well appointed with a small kitchen, two separate sleeping areas, a nice full bathroom and a small deck that looks out on the woods. The fixtures are what you might think of as "cabin cozy". Not modern, maybe a little dated, but clean and well cared for. The bed was a bit on the hard side, but I slept better than I thought I would. Be warned that there isn't any shore access from the resort, and there aren't really any walking trails to speak of on site. The on-site restaurant is pretty good, though they seemed a little understaffed. My singular interaction with hotel staff was pleasant and professional. For what it's worth, I saved their information for future vacation-planning opportunities.

Yelp
Went for a winter getaway and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic view from our room. I would definitely recommend requesting a room with a bay view. Great areas for hiking so close to the resort. We didn't try to the pool but maybe when we come again in summer. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
This is the most unprofessional resort. Management kicked out my friend because she had an emotional support dog with her. It was always on her reservation and then they changed their mind about the dog last minute, after they traveled all the way from Chicago for a wedding. They said that emotional support dogs are not the same as service dogs, which is extremely discriminatory in my opinion as she suffers from a mental disorder. Also, the rooms are gross. Don't come here, you've been warned! Place stinks.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights on vacation with the family, and there were both great points and awful points but not much in between. We stayed in the "Harbor" building, the second one in the resort. Each building has a living area that overlooks the bay, with mind-blowingly gorgeous views. There are also pools between the buildings that overlook the bay, that are well kept-after and at very comfortable temperatures. The units are privately owned, so the decor you get is always interesting. Ours was a mix of knitted gingerbread men and Easter wreaths. The appliances are old, but work well. However, our freezer had nearly 3 inches of ice build-up - apparently maintenance does not de-ice these according to the manufacturer instructions. Our bed was horribly hard and uncomfortable and I could not have stayed here more than 2 nights without looking like a walking zombie. Front desk service was also a mix/match. The first time we dropped by to see if they had room service later at night the guy looked straight-up pissed that we were interrupting whatever he was doing. The second time it was to borrow a deck of playing cards, the two women there were very friendly. The third time it was to check out, and the woman who checked us out was not rude but ambivalent. Show a bit more friendliness - it'll go far! I will not go back to Landmark, due to the hard beds and my sleeping needs. However, if you prefer hard beds and don't need to ask for front desk service at all, the rest of the good points of Landmark make it an economical choice.

Yelp
Not sure why there are 3, 4, and 5 year old "tips" about this resort still posted, because it is a beautiful place to stay in any season. We are in a cozy, beautifully updated unit, and we also enjoy the comfortable lounges. When here during winter, we use the indoor pool and in summer one of the three outdoor pools. Whirlpools available, too. This is a gorgeous property on the bluff overlooking the waters of Green Bay. Egg Harbor is centrally located in Door County.

Yelp
First of all, the Landmark isn't the latest / greatest resort in Door County. I first stayed here back in it's glory days of the late eighties and early nineties when the place was almost always packed. Back then, it WAS one of the best resorts on the Door. I've been going to Door County every year since 1985 and have stayed in a number of places over the years. The Landmark remains on of my fallback favorites even though it is a bit more basic than some of the newer offerings. Sister Bay Yacht Club is my current favorite spot but there is still something about the Landmark that makes it nice. I love the hilltop location of the Landmark. Kick back on the deck outside the bar and enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets that Door County has to offer. In terms of the rooms, they have been updated over the years and some are better than others. I suspect that might have a little to do with whether or not the unit's owners opted for the basic furnishings or slightly upgraded decor. It was always clean for us and the coffee maker never once tried to kill me, thankfully. Then again, I don't drink that poison so I guess I'm safe? ;-) You could certainly do much worse in terms of places to stay in Door County. I'll be back in the future.

Yelp
My family stayed for 1 week and part of that was for a wedding. I have three young children and my husband. We stayed in a Harbor lake view room. 2 beds and 1 bath. The second bedroom was a loft. When we made our reservations, it was at 9PM the month before and the male on the phone could not be more helpful! On arrival, the front desk staff was very helpful and super nice! The hallways are very depressing, dark, musty. But when we opened the door to our room, it was beautiful! We had a lake view, and pool view! The beds were comfortable, the loft was ungodly hot. But we had record heat up there this summer. So not sure if that's always true. The pool was cleaned every morning. The indoor pool was also clean! I thought the beds were comfortable. We had cable and two tv's. The furnishing was updated and comfortable. The kitchen is full. Next time we would bring a cooler and cook in more. We did take advantage of one of the many grills on site to cook out. We had a similiar problem with a female manager as others have had. I forgot my key and needed to get my room rung and it was a BIG deal to do so. ( it was 11:00pm). One of the TV's did not work and when my husband mentioned this to the female desk person early the next morning(after my experience on the phone), the lady's attitude was, well what do you want me to do about it? The restaurant was great! No problems there. All in all, we will ask for our room again a d will definetely go again. There is no beach access, the resort is on a cliff. But the beach is literally 3minutes down the hill. The kids loved it! Otherwise we were in the pool! There is a lot to do for kids! The area is great!! We were there for the week of the fourth. Fireworks were amazing! try the Rusty Tractor for breakfast! You will not be disappointed! It is on 42 on your way in to Egg Harbor.

Yelp
I spent my honeymoon here in October of 2016. Our room was clean, but also very spacious. We had a nice view of the marina. The staff was also friendly and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne. The only complaint I would have would be that there was hardly anyone there. However, that's more our fault because we unknowingly went during the off-season. I would like to try visiting again during the summer. Otherwise, I must say, this place wasn't bad.

Yelp
Great view from rooms and the pool was good for us. However the rooms were not maintained well. Ice machine was broken the first day and no supplies stocked in the room. Water heater was turned off when we arrived. The general experience was positive. However simple things could have made it much better.

Yelp
Some of the other reviews hit the big issues pretty squarely: 1. rooms are tight 2. beds can be uncomfortable 3. wi-fi is spotty But the resort is pretty nice otherwise and the staff was very nice. The views are also spectacular and the resort is laid out nice to maximize this. I would definitely recommend this place to someone, but definitely be mindful of these issues - especially the room sizes. We had a two bedroom suite and we (family of 5) were literally on top of each other.

Yelp
Resort is ok but management was beyond unprofessional. We were staying for a wedding and our friend called 2 months ahead of time to check if her emotional support dog could stay as well (she has legit issues). The staff informed her of their no-pet policy but accepted the booking and said the dog would be accepted with appropriate paperwork. Once she arrived, she checked in with the front desk (dog on side), and the staff confirmed there was no issue. An hour later, an altercation happened in the hallway with the general manager who proceeded to exclaim, "this is complete bull**** trying to pass that thing off as a therapy dog. You have 15 minutes to get off this property." Everyone knows the difference between an emotional support dog and a therapy dog... nothing was misrepresented. Imagine going through all the motions, being proactive and diligent, and excited to go to a wedding only to be kicked out 30 minutes before the rehearsal dinner. The GM doesn't have to like dogs, but she should at least stick to her word and treat people with some decency. PS, my friend followed up with a local police officer. He rolled his eyes and said it wasn't the first time there had been complaints about Patti (the GM).

Yelp
We stayed here in 2016 due to a friend's wedding being held on site. Seeing as it is rather pricey and we had a 3 night minimum stay due to a holiday weekend, we were expecting something much like the nice resorts in the Alpine Valley area, even something resembling Stone Harbor. Nope, not even close. This place made me feel like I needed to shower just stepping into it. To be fair, we entered our building through a side door, not the main entrance. The main lobby areas were really nice, boasting of a renovation coming in 2017. Maybe that's true, but they have A LOT of work cut out for them EVERYWHERE else in that place. The hallways smelled musty and the carpets are all stained and worn. Our first room smelled of mold, urine, and just wetness. I had to put a blanket on the couch to sit as it was very stained, as were the dining chairs, which we didn't sit on. I sat in a chair in the living area and fruit flies came flying out. All this wasn't helped by the "Guest Book" this particular privately owned condo included, depicting the many "here to make babies" guests that stayed in our moldy smelling, damp bedroom we were to sleep in that night. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well...or under any of the provided covers. Surprisingly, I asked to change rooms the next day when in addition to all this fun I found actual mold in the bathroom. The woman I spoke to was very short with me, telling me they were booked at first and she'd have to call me back. She then hangs up on me. Not sure when she was "calling back" or if, I waited for about a half hour and got a call that if we moved we needed to come get the key to the new room right then and tell her immediately if we were moving. I get it, things are busy, we need to make up our minds, but there's a right way to provide customer service and a wrong way; she would be a good example of the latter. I will say the front desk gentleman that I talked to upon getting the key was very apologetic. Our second room was better with less smell and a few updates to the furniture and flooring. However, the hallway had the same stained, worn out carpet and bad musty smell. Outside of the rooms, the bar staff was fighting the entire time we were seated there due to a bill mixup. While entertaining, it was very awkward. The bathrooms in the restaurant also could've used a once over at some point of the day as even the males in our party were complaining about how dirty their bathroom was. If they mention or notice, it must be bad. In conclusion, the Saturday karaoke is fun (I don't know when it isn't, but I'll give them that) the view is the same as it is for many, many places in Door County but still nice, and we had a good time because of our friends. I would recommend if you aren't into that homey lived-in, smells like other people's feet feel, maybe give them some time to renovate or consider a place nearby with the similar amenities for far, FAR less cost.

Yelp
This resort was very pleasing. The interior was updated and clean, and the views were absolutely stunning. This resort is right in the middle of Door County, only about 20 minutes from the most outer towns. The maid staff was pretty good, very receptive to anything we asked for and the price is well worth it. I would absolutely stay here again

Yelp
The resort booking will tell you check-in is at 4pm. Go early, they very often have rooms prepped by 1pm. (We received a text verification at 12:30pm.) Plus you can enjoy the pools and other facilities. Avoid the restaurant, it's terrible. There is a fridge, oven, dishwasher, and all of the cookware and dinnerware you will need. Be sure to wash it again, some of ours was a bit dirty. Our fridge emitted a terrible smell. My kid opened it and nearly puked from it! There is only one a/c unit in each condo, radiators in each room, however. Cable with cartoons for the kids. The staff was very friendly. Pull-out couch was a bit dirty. Furniture and decor has been modernized. If you can swing it, get a lake view. Being in Door County, it's very expensive for what it is, but multiple pools areas make it better than some options nearby. Lighting could be better around the property, especially the entrance. That hasn't changed in the 30 years I've been coming. They are trying new activities, such as comedy shows and live music. Not sure a lot of people attend unfortunately. Good to see the resort is making updates and improvements. High: friendly staff Low: cleanliness of kitchen. *don't eat at the restaurant!*

Yelp
We loved our room facing the bay, the outdoor pools, and plenty of places to sit and relax outside. We were disappointed with housekeeping. They left all our dirty towels on the floor and never gave us new ones which is what we were supposed to do if we wanted new towels. They made our bed but left blankets on the floor when we had them on the bed. It was just annoying. We would still stay again considering how much we loved the resort. It would have been nice if they had complimentary breakfast. We also didn't care for the restaurant. They should offer seating on the patio in the summer until bar close so we could enjoy the outdoors. Loved the room decor and private patios. Spacious room. We had the king size room.
