I was disappointed in Lane's as it hasn't seen any TLC in a very long time. The bathtub mat was moldy, and so old and thin it wrinkled up when my husband stepped out of the shower. He could have fallen. All the furniture was scuffed up and worn looking. The bed was comfortable, thankfully, but the fitted sheet was so skimpy it kept coming off the mattress. Quite annoying. The pillows were huge and not comfortable. Only one thin extra blanket. Most of the linens had small holes or rips. The black curtains were gloomy and depressing. The grout in the bathroom was messy and old looking. Mirror in main room was very dusty. Light bulbs were dim. Hard to read by. The stairs and landings outside need work. When I went to discuss the above, they were "closed until 10 a.m." Excuse me? Most places have 24 hour attendants. Whoever owns or runs the inn needs education in what is expected at an inn. The food in the restaurant was fairly good but as an overall experience it was a big disappointment, based on the online info promoting the place.

Curling mixed finals (Canadian team for the Olympics )in town, we made reservations for 12, got in and waited till 1:45 to get our meal, we had to scoff it down in order to get back to the curling for 2. The meal itself what I tasted going down was good. I felt really bad for the very few staff that were there, certainly not their fault. Really bad management. When you have a big spiel in a small town in the winter you really want to have more staff than less. The service stars i’m leaving is not for staff but for extremely bad management.

Stayed for a night as a get away. The food and service was good. The room unfortunately was not clean and there was a horrible mattress that was actually two smaller mattresses on a too big box spring. It would have been funny if it was a sitcom from the 70s. I would not stay there again.

We visited this restaurant during our last evening in Liverpool, and it was an excellent choice! Although the place was busy when we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, serving us quickly. The food was delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and service.

Your typical hotel. Overly priced for what is offered. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Small tv with a select few viewing options. Lay out of the room doesn't make sense at all. Coffee is not good as the machine barely works. We left to go grab something better. Dinner fare is extremely delicious but their breakfast fare needs work.

We arrived after calling and stating we'd be there in 3 min, showed up and waited over 10 min at the front desk before someone came to check us in. 3 people walked from bar past us but not once addressed us. When they did, nothing was said other than name, number and credit card number. He passed us key and told us where to go. Restaurant closed at 8, which meant we had to call someone if you needed ice past 8pm. The internet didn't work so they had to also give us a different wifi link other than listed at front desk. No receipt was provided at time of check in, luckily we were smart enough to get one before leaving for evening. As when we checked out after 10 am which they open the desk at 10, no one was to be found and doors were still locked. The lack of proper staffing, poor customer service, incorrect hours and a noisy location, we decided we wouldn't ever return! The delay in service was so unnecessary as there were many security cameras, a bell that was rung numerous times and my friend searching for a staff member. I hope they learn better customer service for all areas of their business and not just the restaurant!

I was very disappointed with our stay at the inn . The bathroom was filthy , soap or toothpaste splatter all over the walls and mirror , there was something green stuck to the counter and the door wouldnt fully close . The mattresses on the beds were very sunk in and needed new ones . When i pulled the covers back from my bed i found a mat of long black hair . Both myself and sister in law slept on top of the bed in our clothes . It was a good thing we brought extra blankets thinking the rink would be cold .The inn was full for the mixed doubles curling championships . We were also disappointed that the front desk didint inform us that we would need reservations for the restaurant . I let the front desk know of my concerns the next day , they said the would let management know but i have yet to hear from them

The new owners don’t seem to care much about the facilities. Desperately needs some upgrades. Rooms and beds were clean. We went on a Friday night and dinner and waitress was great but she was the only waitress!! They told us they served breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings but not open till 9. 9:15 there was no one there -both front desk and restaurant closed and locked. Was not impressed
