Absolutely loved having breakfast here. Food was delicious and filling, serving staff were absolutely lovely, and we were completely taken aback at how quickly we received out drinks and food. Could not recommend more highly. Thanks so much!

Great cafe serving a hearty breakfast and good coffee. Very friendly staff. Open early which suited us and several other passengers who had disembarked from the Spirit of Tasmania. Literally down a little laneway, it was challenging to reach for my husband who uses a walking frame but worth it. Lots of indoor seating, bigger than it looks from the outside. Small outdoor dining area that allows dogs.

Fantastic breakfast after getting off the ferry. Very large serves of quality produce and great coffee. Parking for larger vehicles behind the cafe made our stop very easy.

Just wow !! Eggs Benedict with salmon. And the chicken and waffles was killer !!! ❤️❤️❤️. Good coffee. Amazing vibe and most importantly freshly made food with quality ingredients.

Great little cafe hidden away in a laneway. Recommend steak and eggs - very tasty. Breakfast wrap is also a winner. Coffee was perfect!

The perfect breakfast stop after disembarking from the Sprit. This local spot was buzzing and the Terry Burger (their version of a breakfast bap) absolutely brought me back to life. Great coffee too.

This place has a relaxed vibe with tables in different rooms on different levels. Service staff attitude was great, but in terms of the food they delivered or questions we asked it was not good. Waffles were over cooked. The menu stated coulis with fresh strawberries. Apparently there are not any fresh strawberries. The raspberry flavoured coulis was the fresh strawberries (?!) So disappointed. Apparently the eggs were great and coffee good.

Great laneway cafe culture in the heart of Devonport. Excellent maple bacon waffles. Ham / bacon seems to be a specialty.

Laneway Cafe was brought to my attention back during my work for the Ten Days on the Island festival in March. Each of the ten "festival towns" had a "supper club", a festival takeover of a local venue, and in Devonport the supper club was at Laneway Cafe. Laneway is in a laneway (legit name, tick) off Steele St in the centre of town, just down from an adorably-curated vintage store called Mr Wolf. I'm still full from breakfast in Burnie (it's only half an hour down the road) so I perch at the window bench and have a coffee and a delicious fresh juice. Laneway is brimming with patrons of all ages, enjoying a Saturday lunch out with friends and family. So nice. The space itself is gorgeous, and as well as a cafe this place also markets itself as a delicatessen, and I make eyes at the cheese fridge before reminding myself there's still around four hours of driving ahead of me. Definitely heading back here again next time I'm up north. I need to give that food menu a good run for its money!

Just popping into this place for a coffee and a snack today. Very overcrowded !! and first appearances are everything ! Dirty dishes left on the tables ,the barista was overstretched . This place maybe trendy, I feel it's in the need of an overhaul and a good clean. We cancelled our order and went over the road.

When I arrived the kitchen was closed, so didn't get to try the savory menu. HOWEVER, this place is fantastic! Had a coffee and a slice of cake that was quite good (if a bit expensive, at $11 a slice). Gorgeous little coffee shop, very active in trying to bring some culture to this town. A nice place to enjoy a few hours !

Just arrived in the boat. Great coffee and food. Very "Melbourne". Good service. Simple but good breakfast menu. The smashed avocado was great.

This place is fantastic! Very happy with the food, good size servings, prompt service and friendly staff. Highly recommend the Apple Crumble Waffles and the Smashed Avo. The music set a retro yet trendy atmosphere. Would definitely return!!

I had the chicken panini today and it was outstanding, incredibly fresh and the service was friendly and fast. My young fella was well accommodated as well with a nice little toasted sandwich, thanks guys and gals.

Nice sweet hot chocolate, free range eggs, appropriate serving sizes (not for buffet aficionado), great strong coffee (mine was a soy), relaxed funky soundtrack, good vibe.

Amazing service! Great food and incredible vibe ! Definitely one of my favourite places to eat !
