Nice stay in a great location, near to long foon cafe and general George town. A very interesting building, our room had two floors and the shared bathroom was really nice. The guy behind the desk was very helpful and offered some great reccomendations in George town on WhatsApp. Only thing was that there were quite a lot of mosquitos in the room!

This is the best hotel i stayed in during 3 days in Penang. As the host Chris was very attentive and i was well taken care of. He gave me his parking lot when I checked in.
The room was very clean and has a good scent. Although the building was classic SEA post colonial type, it was clean and well kept. Solid and homey.
The staff was well ready during the night (he slept under the reception table during the nights), perhaps to standby for any late guest coming back or going out. There s no word to describe the hospitality presented for guest.
I will definitely come back if there is any chance.
* one thing about my personal preference: sonce the mattress is medium hardness, the pillow could be softer, so that the head ll not be too high during sleep. I mean the pillow is too hard probably it s a hard foam, i prefer softer latex. Or anything thin support.
The building and interior design was natural. It s all feels like most of us grown up in Malaysia which our grandfathers house / shops in our small towns feel like. Straight away bring back the childhood memories that hidden within.
Wishing the next guest feeling good as me. 🙏👍😉😁

We had a lovely time in Lang hoose, the owner was very thoughtful and arranged an early check in and upgrade for us, because we were very tired after a night bus trip. The duplex is very cosy with nice living space and bathroom with a bathtub. It's clean and is in the middle of George town. Price is good. Thank you again !

WARNING DO NOT BOOK
I have travelled over two dozen counties and this us the first accomodation I had to shift out of after 1 night
- Place is a breeding ground for mosquitoes with visible larvae in the water pond. Killed 5 mosquitoes in 1 night. This is a health hazard and may one day be a dengue or malaria hotspot.
- Room have huge openings in ceiling no way to prevent mosquitoes and bugs from coming in.
- Incredibly dusty room. I am talking about visible dust and math larvae on THE TABLE. Cobwebs and thick dust ar corners and window grills
- Staff are clueless about the poor situatuon and cant even speak proper English

A heritage building hotel that was honestly a nice stay! Walking to popular places like Lebuh Cintra, Esplanade and all the museums around George Town felt like nice strolls across the city from the hotel, within 10-15 minutes on feet.
Our room on the ground floor was clean, had everything we needed (the water dispenser by the front desk was a genuine lifesaver as Penang was very hot while we stayed and walked everywhere), and the staff was friendly. The front desk manager works hard to take care of his guests and is very attentive.
The street that the hotel is quiet even with heavy traffic, we slept great!
All in all, a great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel has a perfect location with everything in the centre of Georgetown within walking distance. Even though the hotel is located right in the city centre, we did not hear the outside noise once! Everything in the hotel is accommodated for and the lovely owner and employees can give you tips for everything. The old building is beautiful as well.

A 100 year old antique style building had been converted into a hotel. The best thing about the hotel is the location. It's right in the middle of Georgetown heritage precinct, close to Unesco Heritage street art. Walking distance to multitude of amazing restaurants and even some tourist attractions like the Top.
The rooms are big. The shower area is very big. The beds are comfortable. We were given the duplex suite for 3 people with 3 beds. The duplex while spacious could be a mild inconvenience of you need to use the bathroom at night as one needs to climb down the stairs. Lights are not sufficient and could be improved.
While the staff is friendly and the manager even helped with all our requests, one of the minor issues we ran into was that we had asked for some toiletries that took a few hours to be arranged. Could be improvement
There is no breakfast except for some tea, coffee and bread. But given that it's located next to good restaurants it's not required.
Overall a good place to stay and value for money given the location.
