First off, let me just start by saying Mark was super friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. Very attentive and wanted to make sure we had the best possible stay. They were extremely communicative and made sure we knew of any changes or updates! The stay was fantastic! The location is hard to beat; we left our car and we walked everywhere from this location. The accomodations were great. From the nightly cookies to the tasty breakfast, it was great. The rooms were very clean and comfy. It was shocking seeing the house in such great condition. Usually, these older homes are dilapidated (i.e upstate NY), but this one was well manicured and upkept. I would 100% stay here again. It was warm, welcoming, inviting, and cozy. It's honestly a gem in Burlington.

Wow what a wonderful bed & breakfast! We had the most amazing stay at this gorgeous b&b. The staff was next level outstanding, super kind and wonderful, our servers Jenn and Ethan were textbook perfect hospitality and the chef Kiefer is a wizard with his flavours! What an amazing breakfast and the most comfortable bed and room. The location was perfect, just a quick drive to Church street and although on a busy street the room was super quiet and we heard no external noise. The property is beautiful as well, with a really nice backyard seating area to relax and take in the beautiful garden. I recommend everyone to make their next visit to Burlington at the Lang House. I can’t wait to come back in the future. Thank you so much for making our trip outstanding.

Cute well kept large antique home. The room and bathroom was very clean. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast. Only negative was the noisy busy street but other than that it was a pleasant stay. Nice and close to downtown.

My daughter and I stayed Mothers' Day weekend at The Lang House in Burlington VT while attending my granddaughter's college graduation. Everything about the place is superb: a beautiful, historic ambience, attentive service, delicious and impeccably presented breakfast selections, thoughtful service such as bringing coffee and freshly baked cookies to our room first thing in the morning. A special Mothers' Day breakfast was arranged at our request, and every request was responded to promptly and with great courtesy. The location is great, within easy wolking distance to downtown and the train station. The room we had was very comfortable and the public areas (sitting area, garden room for breakfast) gracious and appealing. In short, we loved staying at the Lang House.

We spent two nights here in June. We stayed in 'Vincent" on the third floor. Comfortable room, breakfasts were delicious, staff super friendly. Perfect location for us. We walked east to the University of Vermont and strolled thru the campus. We walked west to shop at the Church Street Marketplace (don't miss Homeport!), strolled the harbor, and chose spots to eat dinner. Highly recommend. **For anyone who is an April Cornell fan, don't miss the shop on Battery St!

My husband and I just spent four days at the lovely Lang House. The house is beautiful, as well as the rooms & property. The staff were great & a special shout out to Chef Kiefer who made the most delicious breakfasts every morning, not to mention scrumptious cookies every afternoon! I would highly recommend The Lang House to anyone who’s looking to stay in Burlington VT.

We live way out in the NEK so coming to Burlington is a bit of a trek for us. When we came for a show at the Flynn recently, I booked a room at the Lang House so we could make a night of it and save the long drive home for the next day. Well I am so glad that I did, so that I could discover this absolute gem of a b&b! Lang House is absolutely lovely. Check-in information came in via text close to our stay (so helpful to not have to dig through old emails to find it). We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room by the front desk staff. Our room on the third floor was charming, immaculately clean and had some lovely classical music playing and fresh snickerdoodles to taste. Everything very well-appointed with antique furnishings and finishes (I especially loved the William Morris-style wallpaper), a lovely sitting nook surrounded by windows, comfy bed, wine glasses, robes, etc. that all made for a wonderfully relaxing and cozy stay. The breakfast was delicious too, with such kind service. And it has a great location only 10 minutes’ walk from Church Street. This is the kind of warm and homey yet elegant and classy b&b I didn’t know existed anymore but I’m so grateful it does. Next time we’ll be sure to stay more than one night! Thank you all 🙏🏼

We spent four nights here and immensely enjoyed our stay. We were blown away by the level of service and thoughtfulness that they provide. They truly do think of everything. The breakfast is some of the best we have ever had and I highly recommend their breakfast in bed. The Garden Spa room is heavenly. We spent most of our January trip either in the two person jetted bathtub or curled up in front of the woodstove with classical music playing on the music choice channel. And my husband was delighted that he was able to purchase one of the coffee mugs to take home as a souvenir. It was an absolutely delightful stay and we will be staying here next time we're in Burlington. I couldn't recommend it more!

Yelp
Quaint bed and breakfast with farmhouse style set up with beautiful gardens . We were in carriage house with quaint furniture and comfy rooms and upstairs had gas stove . Bathrobes and slippers add to stay , with hot tea and coffee and fresh baked cookies throughout the day . Pretty gardens and a fantastic breakfast with changing menu. Staff iis super friendly. Only downfall is location as it is on fraternity Row and the frat houses can be really loud

Yelp
A beautiful B & B located in downtown Burlington. Close to shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. Breakfast is served each morning at three different time slots of your choosing. Bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and a feeling of home away from home. There is one room on the 1st Fl (Reed). TV was in room and Wi-Fi available. Each room is given a parking spot so no worries about trying to park on the street. It is located near the university so traffic can be a bit heavy during the school year. It's one of the few bed and breakfasts in the area. I would stay here again. Water, tea, and a daily cookie was offered to guests. There were no refrigerators in the rooms, but there was a community refrigerator available to put any food or beverages in if needed.

Yelp
The Lang is just lovely. You're really doing Burlington right by staying here. It's in a great location, walking distance to Church St. Marketplace, the waterfront, and Champlain College as well as a quick drive to the Burlington Earth Clock, Citizen Cider, Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory, and the World's Tallest Filing Cabinet! Really nicely decorated house. Our room, The Allen, is swathed in hues of burgundy, just inviting you to relax. Comfy King bed and two chairs plus robes and slippers to lounge in (which are also available for purchase). If you happen to buy cheese or other perishables on your trip, there's a community fridge downstairs where you can store them! Note that you're not allowed to consume outside alcohol on the premises, but they do have a menu of wines and craft beers for purchase (as well as local cheese platters). In the afternoon, they put out yummy cookies (espresso choc chip shortbreads in our case) and tea for a nice snicky snack. One thing to note is that, given that it's an older home, our room wasn't entirely sound (or smell) proof. In the morning, we could hear other guests showering and walking up the stairs. We could also smell wafts of pancakes and bacon coming up from the kitchen below (not complaining about that though!). It's a great feeling to get woken up by the enticing smell of breakfast. And the meal tasted even better than it smelled! Upon check-in, you select a time for breakfast, but they assured us that it was okay to arrive before or after that time. We got down to the dining room around 9:15, and there were only one or two other tables occupied. After selecting our table and pouring ourselves juice (OJ, cranberry, or grapefruit) and caffeine (coffee or tea), we were started off with a mixed berry coffee cake with orange glaze. Super yum. You can pick one of three breakfast entrees. The Bousin & herb scrambled eggs were the perfect texture with a pop of flavor and freshness from the herbs. The savory popover was a nice accompaniment and that bacon mmmm. The ricotta chocolate chip pancakes were perfectly fluffy with a good amount of chocolate and creamy ricotta in the center. The fruit cup with mango, raspberry, pineapple, and grapefruit was also pretty perfect. Upon check out, we were told that we could leave our car in their lot if we wanted to keep hanging out in Burlington! You can even use the bathroom on the first floor when you come back to get your car. This hospitality and kindness even after you leave went above and beyond our expectations. I hope it's not too long until we stay again at The Lang!

Yelp
Our stay was great, staff was friendly and it was a very cozy quaint atmosphere. The breakfast and snacks were very pleasant and always freshly made. The only issue was at night we kept hearing a banging sound coming from the ceiling while trying to sleep.

Duane H.

Yelp
We only stayed 1 night, but the staff were all very helpful, polite and prepared in everyway to meet our needs. While we did not require help with luggage, help was offered. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We were there on very warm day on July 1st and the normally unnecessary air conditioner kept the room cool, but the noise from cycling did disrupt sleep a bit. The location and accommodation was perfect for our stay and the breakfast is wonderful.

Yelp
It was so easy to give this Bed and Breakfast 5 stars. If I could, I'd honestly give more. Upon arrival, I knew it was going to be an awesome stay. I mean, we walked into cookies sitting at our entrance...so it really has to be perfect from there. The staff are some of the sweetest, most accommodating people I've encountered at a hotel/b&b. My husband and I asked for a slightly early breakfast (7:45 opposed to 8:00) and it was no problem at all. The room was awesome. The Garden Spa Room was a perfect choice (credit to my husband as it was a gift!) The room had a fireplace, a huge jet tub, and an incredibly spacious rain shower. And the best part...heated floors so when you walk out from your shower onto the tile your feet stay nice and warm. So awesome. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were so fluffy that I wanted one of my own. The room felt luxurious but not overly so. It still has a cozy charm. My husband and I had an early dinner after a brew tour so we could spend the rest of the night in our room munching on goodies we collected during the day. We had trouble turning on the shower (you should have seen us struggling for about 10 minutes). We called the front desk and they explained to us how to turn it on while apologizing profusely. Not a big deal at all but I loved how they were so sweet about everything! Our room had a private entrance which was a plus. I did not hear any noise around us besides the workers cleaning up before closing time around 8:00pm. After that, it was totally silent. They have specified "quiet hours" for about an 11 hour span from night to the morning. I love that because I need my sleep and I need quiet. I was grateful to have slept a full night of sleep away from home. Bonus: the b&b is a 10 minute walk from basically everything in Burlington. Shopping, restaurants...it's all right there but it's far enough away where there isn't excess noise outside. Honestly cannot think of a better place to stay if you're in the area. I wish this b&b could follow me no matter where I stay. Oh--and do not miss out on the breakfast!!! It was insanely delicious. So fresh and filling. One of the best parts of the stay. While I was eating a yummy breakfast after a full night of sleep, I was thinking it could not get any better!

Yelp
To rise in the morning to the smell of pancakes and fall asleep with the smell of honey shampoo and lotion wrapped around you, that's what its like to stay at The Lang House in Burlington, VT. It's heavenly. It's warm. It's everything you look for in a bed and breakfast experience. The highlight of my brief stay was the food. Every morning the menu changes and guests are offered three options ranging from apple mascarpone crepes to sundried tomato mushroom frittata with a side of honey baked ham. Every breakfast kicks off with an appetizer - during my stay it was grilled pineapple with a pie cream sauce and a freshly baked orange chocolate scone. The young female chef (kicking myself for not nabbing her name) is the star of the show. But! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly young ladies who staff the front desk. They made my stay feel like a home away from home. A few other reasons you should bookmark The Lang House for your next Vermont adventure: 1.) walkability to Lake Champlain and Church Street (10min to Church St. and 15 to the lake - an easy stroll down the hill) 2.) on-site, complimentary parking in the rear of the building 3.) historical décor that is found in every room and bathroom (the outdoors and indoors compliment one another well)

Yelp
My sister and I stayed here for four nights while we were in Burlington. The location is great, it's walking distance to the center of the city where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. The waterfront is also walking distance, about 20 minutes. There is a parking lot in the back of the house. The house itself is three floors, with rooms on every floor. We stayed on the top floor, in the Tuttle Room. It had a queen size bed and a futon, along with a bathroom. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The room wascleaned every day. Breakfast is served in the morning and the staff is really great about acommodating dietary restrictions. They have a different set menu every morning, but if you need a modification they are more than happy to substitute ingredients. I don't eat meat or dairy and they were very acommodating. They also have plant based milk and tea is available all day. Overall, we had a great experience here. The staff was very nice and helpful. The house itself is clean and well maintained. No complaints & I highly recommend staying here!!

Debbie G.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at the Lang House. Great proximity to everything to do in the city of Burlington. The accommodations were very comfortable and quiet as we stayed in the back of the house on the 3rd floor. We enjoyed our delicious breakfast in the very roomy living room. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. Make your reservations early!

Yelp
Very nice b&b very well located. A 5 minute walk to the main streets ans shopping. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice, you have 3 choices; pancakes, eggs or granola. The mushroom omelette was delicious; served with a choice of bread and bacon. Coffee or tea and juices are available. In the afternoon, they have 2 flavors of cookies and tea. The rooms are comfortable, we stayed in one of the smallest ones on the third floor, named Vincent (303). We went to the Willard Street Inn last year and it was similar. A little more luxurious (the price also is). ;) We really enjoyed both but for the price, The Lang House is worth it. We recommend it!!

Yelp
Such an awesome bed and breakfast! My husband and I took a mini honeymoon here and we had such a great stay. Since my Husband and I had never been to Vermont, we weren't sure where to stay or what to expect from Burlington. When I called to inquire about the inn, the staff was so friendly on the phone which made me feel like this would be the right place for us. The inn is located in a convenient location where we were in walking distance to many restaurants and attractions of the city. There was no reason to go out early though, because of the delicious breakfast that was offered here. The coffee was great too! The host know how to accommodate your needs without being overbearing. They offer baked goods and coffee in the downstairs hallway in the afternoon which is really nice. The room we stayed in was really cozy and the bed was so comfy! They also provide parking in the back of the inn which is a plus! I would recommend this place to a friend!

Monica R.

Yelp
If I could give 6 stars I would! My fiancee stayed here for 2 nights and we were seriously impressed! The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. I have some food allergies and they were on top of it! Breakfast was absolutely amazing and they were able to make substitutions when necessary. My fiancee indulged in the lobby cookies daily while I was pleasantly surprised to find an allergen friendly cookie plate in our room! We stayed in the Vincent room which is one of the smaller rooms, but had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy and the house was so quiet we slept amazing! Oh and the dog Willoughby is the cutest this ever! Parking is free, which in Burlington is not always the case. We will be back for sure!

Darren A.

Yelp
This place was excellent! Breakfast was delicious...smoothie folllowed by your choice from 3 menu options. I had the pancakes and they were light and tasty...the applewood smoked ham piece was a nice addition. Rooms were nice and shower was good. We were on top floor and water pressure was fine. Location was excellent...under a 5 minute walk to the main church st where restaurants are. Staff here were excellent and very friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Recommended stay but seems like books up fast...we were lucky with a cancellation.

Yelp
My wife and I love staying at Lang House. We've made it our go-to destination when in Burlington and have enjoyed in a different room each time. We have always been pleased with our stay and wish we were staying longer. Kim and her team are amazing. Breakfast options always delicious with creative dietary options. Waking to the smell of amazing cooking is the best! Parking is convenient. The house is an easy walk to Church Street or UVM. We recommend Lang House to anyone planning a stay in Burlington.

Bay B.

Yelp
Stellar experience. I told them I was vegan and they made a special vegan breakfast for me, as well as vegan welcoming cookies. The beds are super comfortable. The rooms and lobby are amazing! Fantastic service! Thanks for a great stay!

Courtney J.

Yelp
Our family and I had a great time. The accommodations were excellent as well as the food and customer service. This was by far the best B&B experience I've had. And Danielle and Emily were great

Rose M.

Yelp
We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Garden room which had it's own separate entrance. We had coffee delivered to our room every morning as well as cookies. They make a new cookie everyday and they are delicious. The bed in our room was so comfortable we never wanted to get up. We enjoyed an artisan cheese plate that was devine and we ordered a bottle of wine both very reasonably priced at the Lang House. The hospitality was unprecedented. We were able to park our car at the inn and downtown was a short walk away. The breakfast was phenomenal and different on both of our stays. We definitely would stay here again and plan on referring The Lang House to both our family and friends.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Wonderful place to stay in Burlington! The house is beautiful and well maintained! The owner and her team really work hard to make your stay comfortable and memorable! Would highly recommend!

Dana L.

Yelp
Imagine waking up to fresh coffee, a baked pear oozing with flavor, warm banana pancakes with pure Vermont maple syrup and a selection of 12 jams, or the yogurt topped with fresh berries and home made granola. This is a real treasure. The rooms are quite roomy and charming. We stayed in the 2nd floor Captain room with large king bed and our two kids shared the 3rd floor room Tuttle with double and twin bed. Well appointed antiques give this place true charm. Staff is fantastic as are the two adorable little house dogs. Great location, just a few blocks from town. Wouldn't stay anywhere else after finding this B&B treasure.

Paula C.

Yelp
What a great place, beautiful, breakfast was over the top. Staff were friendly, felt like you were at home. Dan and Paula Rhodes

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Such a fantastic bed and breakfast - I will be sure to return when I'm back in Burlington! It's right within the city, just a couple blocks from Church St. so we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but also left us alone enough. For an extra cost, they'll also have a cheese platter waiting for you when you check in, which was fantastic. Breakfast was incredible with a couple options of food. The room was cozy - we had registered for the cheapest room, but when we checked in they offered to move us to a slightly larger, nicer room. Definitely a great place to stay and inexpensive compared to some of the other options in Burlington (like the Hilton). I hope to be back soon!

Maureen F.

Yelp
The Lang House provided one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Everyone was so nice, but Brandon, in particular, went above and beyond to make my stay special. I noticed a stain on my blouse and after not finding a suitable option at one of the Burlington stores, Brandon washed my garment, got the stain out, ironed my blouse, and brought it to my room. He was so thoughtful, and provided service far better than you could ever get in a large hotel. In addition, the breakfast and cookies were phenomenal. All of the other staff were lovely, helpful, and pleasant. The accommodations were quaint and comfortable. I will definitely stay at the Lang House when I return to Burlington :).

Lauren F.

Yelp
Had a lovely stay here from start to end. We were greeted by Belle upon arrival, who was such a sweet, welcoming young lady. It set the tone. Everyone else we encountered at Lang House was just as helpful and nice- not even a twinge of pretentiousness (so nice having come from the NYC area). The breakfasts were delicious and filling. Big coffee mugs. What better way to start your day. The Lang House is about a half mile from the main drag, but there is a FREE shuttle bus that picks up/drops off right across the street and brings you right to the center of it. Highly recommend after a long day of walking all around town!! Side note- really good deal on room service wine. I think we paid $12 for a bottle of sauvernon blanc. Highly recommend after a long drive into town while you unwind and get ready to enjoy Burlington!

Greg F.

Yelp
Well venturing to VT, my wife & I decided to stay overnight. We against a basic hotel, we wanted something more....a little historic, a little homie, and most of all relaxing. From the moment we walked through the threshold of the B&B we knew we struck gold. The Lang house was everything and more. The service at checkin was incredible. The food was exceptional. You are within walking distance of many attractions but you can simply sit down in one of their reading room and completely relax. I highly recommend

Stevie R.

Yelp
Lang House is a lovely place to stay if you're ever in Burlington. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the bed was one of the most comfortable "hotel" beds I've slept in. Good breakfast, too. There were three choices--a sweet, a savory, and the house granola. I had the savory and it was fabulous. Lang House is also in walking distance to town and a lot of great things to do. I well enjoyed my stay.

Ann L.

Yelp
We stayed here passing through on a visit to Canada. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The accommodations were antique like. The morning breakfast was wonderful from the coffee to the home made scones. I felt like we stepped back in time, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Additionally the staff gave us a map and restaurant recommendations that were very helpful. I loved Burlington, what a lovely college town that was a mixture of saratoga springs and Nantucket, with brick walking streets amid little lights in the trees, quaint shops and fabulous restaurants. This little B and B was an added aspect to this jewel of a town.

Tim F.

Yelp
Very nice B&B located near the downtown area. The house is clean, comfortable, well appointed and well kept. Although I see that there is a review to the contrary, we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay We had a 2 person room located on the third floor. The room was very nice, with a 3/4 bath and included modern conveniences such as a flat screen television and wifi. Although this particular room was a little on the small side, another couple opted for a 3 person room which was much larger. For breakfast we had three options available: a fritata with ricotta, smoked mozzarella, sun-dried tomato, sausage, basil and multi grain toast; yogurt with homemade granola; and whole wheat flapjacks with spiced cherry topping and turkey sausage. The fritatta was good, but we also ordered a side of the homemade granola and yogurt which was exceptionally good and made me wish that I had ordered a full portion. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Justin R.

Yelp
This is hands down the best bed and breakfast my wife and I have ever stayed at. The building itself has a tremendous physical charm and is well maintained. The service from top to bottom was fantastic. Everyone we dealt with was so friendly and sweet. We stayed in the Garden Suite which is stunning. It's set in the basement but is so well done, spacious and inviting. We absolutely loved the room. My wife is a vegan and they were beyond accommodating to her. Upon arrival, there were vegan cookies waiting in the room. For breakfast, they gave her two options of her own which was very nice. She's used to having a "token" vegan option anywhere else we go but the Lang House went above and beyond. We won't stay anywhere else while in Burlington.

Suzanne J.

Yelp
This is a gem of place to stay in Burlington. It is within a 7 minute walk to downtown, or Church Street, and still feels like a quiet oasis. The staff is so helpful and kind. Recommendations and maps abound! The rooms are big, and the beds! So fluffy and great. Then there is the food-Banana Nutella Muffin?!?! Just for a breakfast appetizer?! The rest is even better. We had such a great time, loved the location, and mostly the people. Can't wait to come back!

Chris G.

Yelp
Reviews can tend to be a bit lengthy and not to the point - so here's what you need to know about Lang House in Burlington, VT... If there was a way to give them 6 or even more stars on Yelp I would. I work in the hospitality / food business and I'm always keenly aware of how other establishments conduct their business. To have a "business peer" give a glowing review to another fellow business is to me the pinnacle of success. This B&B, from the minute we entered until the minute we departed, treated us exceptionally.... Like old friends in town to see each other after too much time apart. The attention to detail in the rooms was amazing and the culinary side of things was far and away more than one would expect from most bed & breakfast places. Simply stated... Lang House is the B&B that all other B&B's should strive to be. You will not be disappointed in them or the beautiful city of Burlington, VT.

R O.

Yelp
Just an all around great bed and Breakfast. The historic house is beautifully restored and the location can't be beat. We were visiting from New York and were grateful to be able the enjoy the many walkable-delights Burlington has to offer. Also, the hosts really get the details right. From the perfectly appointed rooms, to the open, easy energy of the common rooms, to the impeccable breakfast crafted from local ingredients. I also appreciated the beer, wine and cheese menu which serves as the entire "room service" program. Not something you expect at a B & B but exactly the sort of thing I occasionally pine for when staying in one. Can't wait to come back.

Alexandra V.

Yelp
This was the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed at. The rooms, no mater what size you're getting, are perfect. So inviting and cozy. My husband didn't mind taking a break every now and then to read so I could catch a nap! The staff is all so nice, and the owner is always around, and checks in with you. I feel like they really want to make sure you're happy. You can choose from 4 changing breakfasts daily, all to die for in sure, but only the sweet option for me!

Lily G.

Yelp
We stayed at this lovely B&B for almost a week in August. I came with my extended family and rented about five rooms. This was very complicated (on our end), but Lang house handled it beautifully and had great rooms for us. The rooms were truly lovely. They were very much in the B&B style - traditional, Victorian, etc. All the rooms had nice beds, comfortable big chairs, and nice bathrooms. They were well-designed and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious! They had a different menu of three or so choices every day. I definitely indulged in some crazy delicious treats there :) The location is also great! It is about a 10 minute walk into "downtown" Burlington. This is really a sweet, charming B&B, and I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Burlington

Jon F.

Yelp
This is a first class B&B. First, the Bed part - the beds are great (firm, but with a 2 inch tempurpedic top), the bathrooms are modern, clearly all redone recently, the furnishings are tasteful and go with the turn-of-the-century nature of this very nice part of Burlington, between the university and the center of town a few blocks away. And still it's quiet enough. If that's a concern, get a room in the back stable. Air conditioned, too. And a nice back yard garden to sit in. Second, the Breakfast part - very good, and a changing selection every morning. From granola etc. to tasty omelets and popovers. Fresh cookies every afternoon, too. Also, nice and reasonably priced wine selection available, with cheese plates in the evening. The owner is a very nice lady who was a successful but unhappy university development person (that means fund-raiser). She was extremely helpful in directing us to very interesting places in this area - the great bike trail out into the lake, Shelbourne Farms, Shelbourne Museum, and made reservations for us at good restaurants she recommended in town. She clearly has kept her ties to the university community, and a lot of her employees are, I believe, college students - they were very nice and helpful, but she's better - she usually leaves the desk about 3 pm. Really a fine place.

Yelp
We had a good stay here. They take COVID safety very seriously and the contactless check-in was smooth and efficient. The room itself was spacious and beautifully decorated and we had a lovely plate of cookies and water bottles waiting for us on arrival. The bathroom is spacious as well but a little awkward, there is no mirror directly above the sink, hardly any space for toiletries and no lid on the toilet. The shower ran out of hot water in less than 10 minutes, which was surprising. Overall, it had the quirks you would expect from an older house. The beds were super comfortable and thick. Excellent WIFI and many more cable channels than you would ever get at a hotel. It's a super convenient location, smack next to the Uni and downtown, which makes it nice and walkable but it also means we were awoken early on a Saturday by frat boys partying in the yard next door and constant ambulances. What makes this place outstanding is the staff. Kim got right back to us with any questions and was willing to accommodate any request. The service and hospitality are excellent. The house itself is beautiful and you can't beat the location.

Yelp
Lang House is a little slice of heaven. My wife(!) and I spent a week at the Lang House for our post-wedding "mini-moon," and it was the perfect choice! First, the location is PERFECT! You're walking distance from the heart of town, but you also feel a little tucked away, which increases the romance. Once you step inside, you are ensconced in the charm of the house--there are freshly baked cookies awaiting you and warm, homey touches dotting every single surface. We stayed in the Van Ness room, which we highly recommend for any couple looking to get away. The room is stunning, complete with a cozy nook, perfect for sitting and sharing a glass of wine. And let me start on the food--breakfast was AMAZING. Everything there was seasonal and fresh, and we couldn't wolf down the food fast enough. We also enjoyed breakfast in bed one morning, which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and a wine and cheese platter in the evening. Throughout our stay the entire staff was wonderful and attentive. They truly made us feel welcome and at home while we were there. We absolutely recommend the Lang House to anyone looking for a relaxing get away. Thanks!

Yelp
Staying at the Lang House was a great experience. From the moment we arrived the staff was welcoming and very accommodating. The house is beautiful, the room we stayed in was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was top notch. The location is a big bonus. A quick walk to downtown to enjoy the nightlife. Strongly recommend the Lang House.

Yelp
We loved Lang House. Stayed 2 nights in the Allen Room. The room was a good size & had a bathroom inside. The bed was so comfortable & the sheets so soft. Breakfast was fantastic both days & everyone was super nice. Would absolutely stay here again!

Yelp
Lang House was a wonderful place to stay. All of the employees/owner were extremely hospitable and welcoming, as well as very accommodating (especially with breakfast, as I have dietary restrictions). The house is quite charming and beautiful, very nicely decorated and kept. Our room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lang B&B sits at the top of the hill in Burlington, very accessible to all the great places in town. We look forward to coming back again soon. This is a new favorite place!

Yelp
My partner and I stayed for a spontaneous weekend in Nov. 2016. The Lang House was perfect. The room (Reid Room) was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The staff was friendly and informative about Burlington. The breakfast in the morning is seriously delicious--better than restaurants. The chef has a gift. They also have coffee, tea, water, and COOKIES available throughout the day and night. If anyone is going to Burlington, you have to stay here.

Yelp
Clean and comfortable. Staff wasn't too friendly or interested. Convenient location- close to campus and the downtown shops area. Good, but not great.

Yelp
Just awesome. We booked late and ended up staying in 3 different rooms (fisher, garden spa, and galloway) and all 3 were nice. Galloway is separate in the carriage house.. fairly small simple room that was comfortable and more than adequate. The fisher room is in the main house and slightly larger than the galloway... or at least feels like it. Super cozy feel in this room and I like the location. I don't want to tell anyone about the garden spa so it is more likely to be available when I want to book it. It has a private entrance, great space, large jetted tub with separate good size rain shower and private water closet. The tub and shower are open to the room with a movable privacy screen so if you're going as a family you won't have a lot of privacy in the shower area. If you don't care or are leaving them home, this is a beautiful space. Bonus: fridge and stove. Location is decent. You're up the hill from town but not the whole way up and it is still walkable or a really easy drive with reasonable parking fees in town. Robes and slippers are a nice touch. Breakfast was fantastic. Eggs and veggies over corn grits (so ridiculously good), squash fritatta, apple pancakes, baked goods, nom nom.. The staff was phenomenal. We didn't get to meet the innkeeper because she had a family event, but she's done a great job - these kids were on point. Thanks for a great time! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Our first time in Burlington. Wonderful stay in this Inn. Staff person, who went to UV was more then willing to help us find a great place to eat, music and great pub to watch live music. Our room was spectacular. Thank you so much and when we visit again we will definitely staying here.

Yelp
Just an amazing place! From the moment you walk in, the team makes you feel like you are part of their family. You even get to pet the family Dog! Highly recommend!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here over a long weekend. The room was cozy and wonderful (we stayed in the Hayward). The staff was just amazing. They were super friendly and accommodating. I think the highlight of the stay was the breakfast. They did such an amazing job, it was so fresh and delicious. We are definitely going to come back next time we are in Burlington!

Yelp
Lang House is one of my top 2 favorite B&Bs that I've ever stayed in for several reasons. We stayed in the McClurkin room which is in the carriage house, which was very private, but still had all the amenities of the main house. The owners had water, tea, coffee and fresh baked goods on the first floor so if we needed anything, we never had to leave the Carriage House. The room itself was huge, and the bed was SO comfortable. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Lang House is the perfect spot to stay if you're in the Burlington area. I was actually never a real B&B fan until I stayed here. My husband and I came up for a long weekend and I wound up booking here because I couldn't find a room in any of the nearby hotels. I'm so glad now that I was "forced' to book here! Kim and the staff were wonderful. Emily was very helpful over the phone and Sydney was so bubbly and cheerful, you couldn't help but smile. The breakfasts are incredibly delicious and the added touches make it very cozy (they leave cookies out in the evening and tea/coffee are available whenever). The hosts are laid back but attentive, so it's the perfect combination. My husband and I stayed in the Galloway room in the Carriage house and loved the room, primarily because it was more secluded from the main house. We are both early 30s and didn't find that the inn was stuffy at all (which is what I always thought a B&B would be like). We brought our bikes and were able to bike to Church street and the waterfront within minutes. Would very highly recommend this place to anyone!! Thank you Kim and staff!!

Yelp
Cute B&B with an awesome location in Burlington. We stayed in one of the two rooms in the back house, and enjoyed our stay, the privacy and the helpfulness from the staff. We had a great breakfast the next morning as well.
