Langdale Boutique Hotel by Amaya

We had an amazing stay at Langdale couple of days ago. We just needed a place to relax and unwind a long flight and Langdale offer just that…. Firstly the view is breathtaking. Most beautiful country style hotel with amazing staffs. We went with full board and only wanted all traditional SL food and were so good. Staff really made it extra special and manager also took time to come and have quick chat. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel and we will definitely be back on our next visit to Sri Lanka and thank you so much for your hospitality!!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at the Langdale Boutique Hotel by Amaya during my visit to Nuwara Eliya. The hotel offers a local breakfast menu that is simply delicious. Surrounded by lush greenery, the setting is absolutely breathtaking and provides a serene and picturesque environment to enjoy your meal. The tranquil ambiance makes for a perfect start to the day. A special mention must be made of the milk tea – it is truly superb. The rich, creamy texture and the perfect blend of flavors make it a standout choice and a must-try. Hands down the best boutique hotel I have stayed in the hill country. Kind staff and the service was beyond exceptional. Breathtaking view. You can enjoy the stunning views for miles and the lush green fields of tea at the beautiful Langdale. Room was very comfy. Food was amazing! They even arranged us a tasty cake for our special occasion. Loved the heated pool. This is a hidden gem and a must visit ! Thanks for making our stay memorable.

Excellent service, especially by Kevin, Saif, Anoj and Hussain. Location is very nice with good views. However it's away from the town area. For breakfast, both local and international selections were good. For lunch or dinner, their local menus are good. International dishes could be better. Dining area can be warm during the day due to sunlight and a lack of wind. Rooms were good. However there's no air conditioning in this hotel due to the cold highlands weather. During the day it can get warm. Advised to leave the windows open. Water pressure in the shower was bad, and wifi can be unstable.

My wife and I spent two fantastic days at the Langdale. We were treated like royalty by the friendliest and most helpful staff you could imagine. We loved the charming ‘English Bungalow’ style - and made the most of the swimming pool, grass tennis court and undulating putting green - all with stunning views! The breakfast was absolutely superb - 4 courses and each delicious. Dinner was also fantastic - we recommend the Fish Curry. Thank you Langdale!

A gem in Nuweriliya. Location is away from the main town and that's a good thing. It's absolutely peaceful and the views are to die for. Spent 3 wonderful nights here. Rooms are clean and service is of a very high standard. The food is probably one of the highlights of this place. The Chef really deserves 5 stars for quality and presentation. Fabulous. Don't miss.

We chanced upon this boutique hotel as we were catching the train from Nanu Oya. What a fabulous surprise it was! Everything was outstanding - service, decor, food, and not to mention THE VIEWS (I'll let the pictures do the talking)! The hotel is surrounded by the Somerset tea estate and so we took a walk through it and it was beautiful. The hotel also had a ton of free offerings - 9 holes golf, a heated pool, and tennis. My in-laws, husband and I had a grand time playing golf. It was a pity we didn't manage to try the spa - but we will be back for sure!

What an exceptional experience! Nestled nicely in the beautiful hills and tea plantations this hotel is a pure gem. The staff is amazing reading every wish from your lips and making this a truly fantastic stay starting from a nice welcome drink and some introduction by the hotel’s director we were guided to our room. It also is the perfect stay for some great relaxation be it outside on the nice terrace, at the pool, the tennis court or inside in the lounge area for a game of chess. From the hotel you can also have some nice walks through the tea plantations and enjoy a nice sunset.
