We especially loved the french crepe; it was simply divine. This is my second time visiting, and I absolutely love the environment and food. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is excellent. The food is consistently delicious especially their steak! It’s cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

If there were 10 stars I would give 10. Food was modern and on point. It preserves French style while the food on the plate is modern and with modern favors. It was an unexpected surprise. Escargot was very nice, no runner chewy things yet marination is on point. I could have two plates on my own. Miso fish was cooked just right and not over cooked taste is also on point while I also like the modern touch of beetroot and herbs. This restaurant pays attention to details which is beyond expectation. Will definitely recommend to my friends

We had a fantastic time celebrating birthday at L'Angelus! I'd like to extend my heartfelt compliments to the French Manager and the wonderful Filipina waitress, who provided exceptional service throughout our dinner. Kudos also to the talented chefs for the exquisite cuisine - every dish was truly delicious! We can't wait to come back and experience it all again. ❤️

Easy 5 min walk from Maxwell mrt TEL station. Small restaurant that reminds me so much of a French bistro in Paris. The staff greeted warmly when we approached and led us to our seats. The atmosphere was very French indeed. We ordered the 3 course $82++ and all the dishes were delectable especially the Hokkaido scallops appetizer and lobster risotto which were both rich tasting & flavorful. The cheeses for dessert was also nice with the crackers but raisins I’m not a fan. The creme brûlée itself was nice and creamy but the biscuit thing on the side for me was a fail. Strangely tasted fishy. I had to wash it down with wine. Staff are quick to clear tables and dishes served promptly. I feel a little bit they are rushing the service but I guess it isn’t wrong to want to complete the job and go home though to us the night is still youngish. On the whole, a good French experience in Singapore. Pricier option as compared to many restaurants but once in a while, it’s a good choice.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a three-course set meal that truly impressed my palate. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of delightful. Appetiser : Foie Gras Poele The meal began with a foie gras poele that was simply melting and delectable. Each bite was rich and buttery, showcasing the chef's skill in preparing this delicate delicacy. The flavors were beautifully balanced, making it an exquisite start to the meal. Main Course: La Légine (Toothfish) For the main course, I savored the La Légine, or toothfish, which was tender and cooked to perfection. The accompanying butter sauce was a standout, enhancing the fish without overpowering it. This dish was not only satisfying but also remarkably flavorful, leaving me wanting more. Dessert: Crème Brûlée To conclude the meal, I enjoyed a crème brûlée that was very creamy and just the right level of sweetness. The caramelized top added a delightful crunch, contrasting wonderfully with the smooth custard beneath. It was the perfect finale to a fantastic dining experience. Atmosphere and Service The vibe of the restaurant was quiet and tranquil, creating a peaceful atmosphere that allowed for relaxed conversation. The service was decent, with the timing of each course just right—never rushed, yet never left waiting too long. Overall, this three-course set meal was a true culinary delight. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a serene meal with exquisite flavors.

Sunday night out turned out to be a nice walk down ann siang hill to the very sleepy club street, the cool after rain and quietness felt like a parisian dream stepping into the restaurant. We made no reservations and they were full but managed to arrange two seats for us. It’s closed to Christmas and the decor added more festive feel to the already quaint and charming ID . I felt like I was on a holiday! As we enjoyed the amex promo, the three courses were all mains and served together. Love the risotto de homard with the sea urchin foam. Their set lunch / dinner are fantastic value. On my way out, there’s a section which I think holds embroidered napkins for their regulars. Service was excellent - must visit if you enjoy French. I am coming back for escargot wed night.

Unbeatable value for the lunch set, where else can you have oysters and tenderloin for $30++ in this economy? Great selection for wine and digestive too, with an excellent Pinot Noir and refreshing absinthe. The cook on the steak is slightly rarer than requested but that's par for the course for French restaurants, and I nevertheless really enjoyed it. An institution well worth your visit.

Wednesday is free flow escargots day! $20 for escargots in cute little pots and drowning in garlic butter. With an impossibly cute piece of toast balanced on it. Had steak frites, pork chop, risotto too. And crepe Suzette, prepared table side. All really good. Service is attentive and very pleasant. I had 4! Four! Servings of escargots. That's 24 snails. Sorry Gary! Edit. Went back a couple of weeks ago. Still good. still great service.

I was taken here on a Friday night and at 1930 hours it was relatively quiet. The restaurant slowly filled up in the later bit of the night. We started the meal with escargot and onion soup. The escargot came in tiny individual clay jars, heavy on the garlic and oil, and i dunked some bread into the jar to soak up the garlicky goodness. Very delish. The soup wasn't anything special; think I would have preferred a thicky consistency, but nothing much to complain about. We got the Chateaubriand steak (for two), and ordered it done medium rare. It was sliced tableside, done beautifully, and so tender. Tenderloin is not my favorite cut of meat, but this was done exactly how a tenderloin should be treated. The steak was served with a blue cheese and another sauce I forgot, but I liked it just with salt and pepper. The potato gratin that came along with it was so delicate it fell apart in my mouth (and on my fork). We also got creamed spinach but I don't think that was anything to shout about. We washed it down with a carafe of a red I forgot, but it's nice they serve less-than-a-bottle-and-more-than-a-glass portions of wine. I ordered the Crepe Suzette for dessert and they did it tableside. I really like tableside service here. The crepes were thin and drenched in burnt-off Grand Marnier and juice. So delish. Would return.

Definite hits - their Foie gras is pretty darn amazing, as was the escargots that we ordered. Their strawberries and cream dessert was a nice dessert to end of the meal. Misses - cautioning us not to order any more is fine, but when you repeat it countless times as though we are deaf it becomes patronizing (this not only happened to me- my friend experienced the same treatment when she was here a different time). The mains we ordered (angus prime rib), salmon filet in paper wrapping and french pork innards were average. Expected better.

My Favorite dish was their dessert!!! Ambiance was nice. Great for a romantic date. A nice, cosy european setting (with little wooden push carts where they made the crepe Suzette in front of you). 1. Les crêpes Suzette 'devant vous' flambées au Grand Marnier ($24) Hot crepes with fresh orange juice, flambées with Grand Marnier... Fall in love with it. 2. Recommend - The steak! So good. 3. The fish was average. 4. Did not enjoy - The Cassoulet (containing pork sausages, pork skin (couennes) and white haricot beans). Tasted as if someone randomly threw together all of last night's leftovers in a pot and cooked it. Although this dish is really popular in France (I'd say if you're in France, give it a shot. otherwise, pass.)

A charming restaurant and solid French food. For appetizers we had escargots to share and a salad (can't remember which!). The escargots were great, no yucky smell and super garlicky! For main, ordered the steak chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly. Dessert was brilliant! We had the apple tarte tartin which was delicious! The crepe Suzette was also great. My dining companions also raved about the chocolate lava cake. Service was spotty. We waited for almost 45 minutes for our mains to arrive. Also, we ordered tea at the end, they refused to top up hot water! If you and your dining companion order the same tea, they simply put 2 tea bags into one small pot and charge you twice. Thought this was terrible considering they refused to top up hot water!

L'Angelus is a French restaurant located along Club Street. Last time I came here, I had the set meal which was really worth the price for a semi-fine dining French restaurant. The café itself is super cute, you almost feel like you are in Paris. I ordered the salmon and rice which was good but a bit too salty for me. But their chocolate cake is AMAZING. Five stars for sure. I have never tried a chocolate cake like this. Its almost like eating pure chocolate, it melts in your mouth, yet its not too sweet or bitter. Definitely a must try if you are eating here.

Love this place !! I always stop by l'Angelus when I'm in Singapore, I discovered this place more than 10 years ago, and the quality of the food is always perfect... I like to start with the foie gras, first because I'm french and I never miss an opportunity to eat foie gras, and second because I never could find a better one in Singapore, toasts included! Last time I was there I ordered a Sole meunière with steamed potaoes. My absolute favorite comfort food, and guess what ? It tasted juste like the sole I used to eat au Zeyer when I was a little girl. The fish was really good, perfectly cooked, and there was as much butter as I expected. The staff was nice, friendly and really devoted. This is what I love in Singapore, everybody is here to make sure you'll have a pleasant moment, and I did ! My date went for the Tartare and frites. I'm not a big fan of Tartare myself, but my friend really enjoyed it, and I managed to taste some of the fries before they were all gone : delicious ! The wine was really good as well, I asked some advice and was really happy with their choice, even though I don't really remember what we had .. ? Last time I had dinner there, we didn't order any cheese, because we were really looking forward to the crêpes Suzette. The crêpes are flambées in front of you, with Grand Marnier and orange juice... it's heaven ... But , whenever I'm having a simple lunch, I order cheese, and I eat all the cheese. You should fall for there cheese.. I also like the place and the decoration makes me laugh, they are some hidden gems in the posters...

brilliant french dining - great food in a sophisticated, candle-lit intimate space - in club street, and this place performs superbly from appetiser to fin. .it's rustic french cooking - generous portions, classics done right - comfort food at its very best. we started off with sesame-studded rolls served with an olive tapenade, a warm carby start to the night. followed by a large bowl of french onion soup - savory and quite delicious, but a little too watery for us. we also got a roquefort and bacom salad - a good showing of greens, and the cheese wasn't too pungent (which is to say that even wimps like me can take a little). when we ordered the day's special of mussels in white wine, we were a little sceptical: you often get puny pieces of mussel in the barest heap of shells - but this beautiful copper pot arrived bearing a mountain full of plump young specimens in a fragrant wine broth. completely soppable with bread. but the pièce de résistance was the rib eye steak. perfectly medium-rare, beautifully pink inside and well-seared, it was one gorgeous (and surprisingly large) slab of meat. the mustard sauce that came alongside was very good as well. (though I was very enticed by the chateaubriands that were going onto the other tables too!) the beef also came with a big dish of potato gratin - creamy and buttery and yielding, we finished with a hot chocolate cake and a huge whoop-ass serving of creme brulee. the first a bittersweet, oozey execution of lava cake (so incredibly good) and the other a subtly-vanilla egg custard topped with a crisp shatter-able sugar crust. there's really nothing like a good hunk of good dessert. haven't mentioned service yet - but it's top of its class: they let me come in before opening because I was early, our servers were helpful and attentive but unintrusive, and one of the waiters actually remembered my order from the first time I visited. it's the best impression of a french bistro I've seen in singapore.

Walking along this charming street in Singapore Chinatown I found this place. It looked so French from outside ( nice flowers and this " je ne sais quoi") I decided to give it a try . Hourrah ! It was a great meal. Delicious snails, much lighter and tastierthan the usual greasy ones some bad French bistro do, a very good lamb, cooked medium rare, juicy, tender with an excellent ratatouille . And I tried their hot chocolate cake they claim have been doing since 1998, well it was a very very good one ! All in one, I really liked it and it is surprisingly authentic considering we are in Singapore ! Was almost surprised when I left to still be in Singapore , as I had felt in Paris for awhile !!!!!!! Price is ok as the full menu is 68$. Good wine by the glass . All in one, a very good value for money place for such high quality food . Surprised they were not in the Michelin guide !

Long time customer of this authentic French place in Club Street. The guys have been there for 18 years! I know from some friends that they are a bit controversial but to me, this is the most true to original place in Singapore to have French food. Really feels like in Paris. Food is good and well done. I had a delicious salad with some duckliver, ginger and I forgot what else, with a great vinaigrette for once (amazing how difficult it can be to find in so called French restaurant a decent vinaigrette....). Then a seabass, delicious with its crispy skin, served with a cream sauce that shows the chef knows what he is cooking about! The manager, a tiny pretty witty charming girl, told me the chef spend numerous years in France and is in fact Singaporean. Hard to believe! Skipped dessert but helped myself from the cheese trolley, couldnt resist! All in one, its a place that doesnt intend to please everyone, but has chosen its side: authentic and terribly Parisian in style!

Solid French Food. On the pricy side but good ambience & service. Good for date-nights.
