Came for the first time last year and it was really good. Came for the second time now and the food was terrible. The chicken curry was definitely old and very oily as you can see (couldn’t even finish it). The sizzling beef casserole was alright, but it was very chewy and oily too. Only good thing I can say is that staff was very nice to us. But I don’t think we would be back at all.

My favorite restaurant in Brooklyn China town. forth time visiting Lankawi. Every time when I go to NY, I must visit this restaurant. This time I ordered hainan chicken. The best hainan chicken ever. Way better taste than the one I had in Singapore. Hainan chicken homemade sauce was super delicious. It is a must try dish at Langkawi. Thank you so much for the delicious and fresh food 😋

This is my go-to Malaysian spot on 8 Ave. The food is always so good. Favorate dish is the sizzling pepper beef with satay chicken. This place takes cash only but the prices aren't bad compared to some of the Malaysian places near park slope.

Food was great but our waitress made us so uncomfortable. For the entirety of our meal, she kept pacing back and forth by our table and staring straight at me. I don’t know what was wrong with her. Did she think we were going steal a spoon or something? A big part of being a server is having good social skills- she was very awkward, sounded and looked lost and confused.

This is one of the last Malaysian restaurants in the area after Redang Island. The management had changed hands a bit and the food is no longer as good as when Nyonya used to be here, unfortunately. It's still a decent place to get something to scratch that itch for Malaysian food, sort of. I've come with family often since when it was still Nyonya and I fondly remember seeing the roti being freshly tossed. That is no longer a sight here. The roti and curry are still a solid combo, if only smaller than it used to be. Satay is also a safe bet, but beef might be chewy. Chicken is better. Hainan chicken with oil rice is also a safe bet. We had an egg dish (hwat dan huo) that didn't taste very fresh and no one touched it. Service is pretty decent. They only take cash here, so be aware.

I like the chicken and the grill tofu

Yelp
Restaurant is never crowded; I have walked by this place multiple times and always considered to try it. Decor looks great, both the interior and exterior. I ordered nasi lamak and it came out fast .... too fast. Nasi Lamak: 0/5 cause you can't even call it nai lamak when you lack the basis of the food which I'll break down. The chicken lacks flavor. A bad attempt at curry where they just threw a bunch of premade curry powder that is watered down. The rice has no fragrance. Nasi lamak uses coconut milk and pandan leaf when cooking the rice. Cucumber: idk how you mess this up but the cucumber they served was not good. Should be refreshing and somehow they end up using one that wasn't good cause it had bitter taste to it. Sambal + Pickled Veggies + Anchovies: this the decent part of the meal. Refreshing pickled veggies and nice sambal. Anchovies were good only like 5 tiny pieces. Portioning of this was scarce. So overall; very disappointing Nasi lamak. You can find better around the area. I guess there is a reason I have never seen it crowded in there.

Yelp
This used to be Nyonya back in the day when it was on 8th ave Sunset Park area. Then another Malaysian place took over before it finally became Langkawi (what it is today). The other Nyonya on 86th st Bensonhurst had closed during Covid which made it harder to find decent Malaysian restaurants. Taste is about the same as most typical Malaysian restaurants but there are less around now as most closed up. Portion size seems to always be on the smaller ends but prices has gone up. I usually enjoy the basic curry and Hainanese chicken as I have a crustacean allergy and is concerned about shrimp paste in most of their dishes. When I get Sarang Burung, I always ask for no shrimp. I went recently with my cousin and friend for a nice late luncheon. We enjoyed Hainanese Chicken, Roti Canal and Tofu Satay together. I also got a curry noodle soup for myself and my cousin got a seafood noodle soup. Very good. Long wait for the bathroom (single) in the back. Not very busy around 1pm on a Sunday. Staff clutter in the back and you have to flag them over to get refill on tea and water.

Yelp
I ordered oysters omelette,Malaysian curry noodles with fish cake ,pai Thai with shrimp, food not a big surprise, service just okay ! But they need to pay attention to the table , very sticky and nasty !

Yelp
02.02.2024 @9:05pm Walk in for a table of two. Second time came back here since September as I was too lazy to walk another block to King Kitchen. The service is ok but the food is not authentic Malaysia favors. Every items I have tried so far have not even attempt me to come back again.

Yelp
This place is one of my go to spots to be honest, I come here very often to get the same 3 items on the menu, pineapple fried rice, half hainese chicken and the roti canai. It's always consistent every time I come here randomly. When I just want to sit and eat alone. The food always comes out pretty fast if you get there early in the afternoon. This place is cash only. The staff is always attentive. Very spacious, lots of seating I even bring my friends here to eat sometimes bc the food prices isn't so bad either.

Vivian L.

Yelp
I stopped by langkawi for dinner on a weeknight. The restaurant had a decent amount of people for a later dinner time. We ordered the roti canai I'm very pleasantly surprised that the quality of food since the name has changed so i assume there has been a change of ownership. I was a frequent diner at the nyonya franchise of Malaysian restaurants in New York and will be back to langkawi. Roti canai: still flaky and the curry is super flavorful chicken and shrimp in taro nest: super good and one of my favorite dishes

Jalal M.

Yelp
The only negative is that it's cash only so be prepared for that. Food tastes good and service was fairly quick.

Amanda W.

Yelp
food is good and staff were attentive enjoyed the chewy noodle (its kuey teow) the drinks were not good in my opinion. Filling dishes crunchy tofu. Spare ribs were not expected but curry is good

Kevin Z.

Yelp
I don't know what cuisine this falls under, but it's delicious. Every item is a hit at this family style restaurant without breaking the bank. Seating is limited but we got lucky with a large table. It's not too busy either so you don't have to wait. Waitstaff is friendly and available. Seems to be a hidden gem.

Yelp

Yelp
My office has ordered from here a few times. Here is a breakdown of the items I have tried: --ROTI PRATA: I feel like a running theme of the food here is how it is on the oiler side and the Roti is no exception. The whole bread is coated in butter. It's yummy but slightly too heavy for when I want just a small appetizer. --FRIED SPRING ROLLS: Good flavor; however, the last time I got it there was no sauce included so it just felt too dry. --ACHAT: I love the flavor of their pickles. It's very delicious. Also they give you such a large portion for the price. Definitely recommend. --NASI-LEMAK: The curry has great flavor; however, once again it is too oily. The other dishes are good but the egg is just way too bland (it's a simple hard boiled with nothing added on) and it's only half of one egg so they should at least give the full egg! --CURRY CHICKEN WITH POTATO OVER RICE: (See above) All in all, a slightly heavier meal that is on the oiler side but can be enjoyable when you're in the mood for it!

Yelp
3.5 stars!! Very surprised how good some dishes are while others dishes fell short. The roti was delicious but I felt the bread could have been a bit more done. The salt and pepper squid delicious ... the best we've had so flavorful and perfectly cooked and salted. The fish head rice noodle soup very salty and tart, and the tofu curry noodle soup was the least favorite, Pad see ew was pretty good. Hainanese chicken a little overcooked, sizzling beef with pepper sauce delicious and tender, Kang Kung Balachan delicious, mixed vegetable bean curd casserole disappointing and flavorless. The tofu used in both the curry noodles and veggie casserole was spongy and we did not like it at all. Other dishes we saw looked really good ... looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes! ,

Yelp
So happy that Langkawi delivers to Dyker Heights! I haven't been brave enough to try outdoor dining, so takeout has been my only little luxury. I really wanted Thai food and tried ordering from a local place, but they stopped delivering to my area. That's when I started hunting for a new place. Langkawi looked awfully familiar (I remember when this was Nyonya) and I remember really liking their food. Since they actually deliver to my neighborhood, I ordered directly on Yelp for contactless delivery. I know this place has mostly Malaysian dishes, but I needed Pad Thai so that was the first thing I ordered, along with the Balachan Lady Finger with Shrimp from the Lunch Menu. I had never tried that Pad Thai from here before and was quite pleasantly surprised. It comes with shrimp and chicken, but I am sure you can sub for another protein if you want. I've had the Lady Fingers with Shrimp here when this was Nyonya and they were just as good as I remember. I tried to replicate this dish at home but it doesn't compare to the way it's done here. The price was pretty good considering the large portion (especially the lunch special dish which comes with rice, spring rolls, and veggies). I'd definitely order again, and will dine-in when life reopens.

Yelp
Being one of the few restaurants with Thai food on GrubHub, Langkawi appeared to be the sole half decent option, given the lackluster ratings here. Boy did I have nothing to worry about. My order came well packed, very warm, and delicious. At least in the app, there isn't room for customization, eg the Pad Thai already comes with shrimp, chicken and tofu. Langkawi seems to aim for a breadth of SE Asian cuisines as opposed to depth. The sparing number of Thai dishes does include Pad Thai (no Pad See Ew though) and Pineapple Fried Rice, which we ordered. I was paying attention to the pineapple, which I do declare was fresh. The food was also surprisingly filling; I was stuffed by the end! There was a good amount of chicken, and there were about 3 pieces of shrimp. ($12.95) As for the Pad Thai ($9.95) everyone who had it was quite impressed! The sole comment my brother had was that it could've had bigger peanut chunks and a bit more peanuts. As for my mom, she found it a little too spicy for her taste. The portion was so much for her that she saved half of it for dinner. I don't know if Langkawi changed up their game during the COVID-19 pandemic, but keep up the good work! I'll probably be ordering again.

Kim C.

Yelp
Truthfully, not a knock your socks off place but a decent place for dinner if you want good pineapple fried rice. It comes with both chicken and shrimp in half a pineapple. My partner says it tastes better when in comes in a pineapple because it's sweeter. I think he's onto something because the pineapple chunks were great. Looking around many other tables had a fried rice along with sizzling platters and clay pots. Since it was just the two of us, we opted for 1/4 Hainanese chicken and it was just the right amount of food for us. If I was hungrier, I'd probably add on an order of roti!

Min Y.

Yelp
Highly recommend! The food was so good! Love their curry and their chicken! They serve the food in a timely manner too!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday around 7pm, place was pretty busy with a lot of takeout and people dining in. There were about 3 girls working. We ordered the bread that Malaysian restaurants are famous for, it was not what I expected, tasted different not as chewy. We also got a salted fish fried noodle which was really small portion and 1/2 chicken which was ok. Overall it was ok, don't think I'll be back. The staff was nice though.

Zheng J.

Yelp
Different than before! Changed Owner, food is not good at all, taste bland! They charge $4 for a little bowl of rice, are you kidding me? $4?most of places rice are free!won't go back anymore!

Kiyoshi S.

Yelp
The food is okay, maybe we ordered the wrong items. The noodles didn't have the wok flavor we expected. Taro nest was very filling, expensive, and didn't have many ingredients worth the price. Overall quite expensive and not too worth it.

Julie Ying X.

Yelp
I would give this place 3.5 stars. I came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon with a group of 3 people. We ordered the Hainanese Chicken over rice, the Kang Kung Belacan (stir fried water spinach with shrimp paste), and the Sarang Burung (chicken and seafood in a taro nest). The chicken broth rice with Hainanese chicken was okay, a bit bland though. The spinach was delicious and I really liked the shrimp paste. The taro nest was crispy and the chicken/seafood was flavorful. The prices were a bit high since the portions were not that large. I do feel like there are better Malaysian restaurants in the area. Service was fast and friendly. They do have a good lunch special which includes an entree, spring rolls appetizer, vegetables, and rice for $11 which is not bad. I might come back to try the lunch special next time. FYI - the place is cash only like the rest of Chinatown.

Marisan Y.

Yelp
Came here Friday night for a last minute dinner with 6 other friends. I've been here pre-pandemic and it's a lot less busier. It's still cash only and they have signs to wear your masks when you leave your table to use the two restrooms. I ordered the fried rice cakes but requested they make it vegetarian and remove the meat. I loved the taste and texture of the rice cakes so much. My other friends ordered their roti and noodle dishes and thought they tasted yummy too. However, one person in my group ordered the mango fried rice and requested it to be extra spicy. The dish was mediocre to him and had no spice. So if you come here I definitely recommend ordering a noodle dish!

Yelp
I was really excited to finally try out Langkawi, as I have been coming to Nyona (the restaurant this used to be) since I was a kid. I also have a special affinity for SEAsian food in particular, so I was happy when it reopened with fresh interiors. We came on an unassuming Friday night and the place was relatively empty. We were seated immediately and the service was quite good, as in general. We ordered the AChat, Chicken Satay, Hainanese Chicken with chicken broth rice, and a Hookien Char Mee, my staples. The AChat was really good - the pickling was excellent but not overbearing and the sesame on top added nice texture. The chicken satay came perfectly caramelised to the right extent of burning, and the peanut sauce was a good dipping consistency as well. The did it the traditional way with little bites of dark meat, whereas most places use white meat to placate the Western customers, so I was glad they stuck to traditions. The Hainanese chicken was good as usual but definitely not as succulent as the originals from Singapore/Malaysia. The rice had good flavour, but it was also very granular and a bit dry, to be honest. The Hookien Char Mee I was excited about, but disappointed that it was the exact same style as right before Nyona went into renovation. It was lifeless and a displeasing dull brown colour. The noodles were okay, but I've definitely had better with stronger flavours elsewhere. It's really a shame with the new interior and style, this restaurant really could have been something, but sadly it's the same old same old mediocre food that Nyona descended into over the years.

Faryal A.

Yelp
honestly this place is a great place to go to if you are in the area! been here a few times with my my friends and the staff here is always attentive. we ordered a bunch of food, all of which was great! 10/10 furthermore, I would recommend visiting this restaurant because it is also spacious :)

Jia Ling Adrian L.

Yelp
Good place. They listen to you so if you want things replaced, they do it. Obv not at a loss but its flexible

Joe L.

Yelp
This has to be one of the best Malaysian restaurants in Brooklyn. I can only speak for two dishes tho - Hainanese Chicken and Singaporean Chow Mei Fun. Their chicken is always so tender and juicy, never cold. The Mei Fun doesn't use curry and has slices of Chinese sausage that gives it a unique flavor.

Christy Y.

Yelp
I remember when Langkawi was still Noyona. This place has changed drastically over the years. I overheard that the owner of this restaurant has changed so I wanted to see if the flavor has changed as well. I ordered the, roti canal, 1/2 of Hainanse chicken, and Hokkien noodle. The roti canal is probably the only thing that has not changed on this menu. Still the same old goodness. The hainanse chicken was okay. However, I did realize that they changed the hot sauce provided with the chicken. I feel like the pervious hot sauce is better. The Hokkien noddle tasted completely different. It use to be this creamy like texture of the sauce but this time it was straight up watery sauce. The service here was semi-decent. They hired all young adults around their early 20s or younger. My waitress was really nice and attentive. By the end of the meal when I was trying to call for the check, the girls were too busy gossiping.

Judy D.

Yelp
My family and I could not choose a place to eat, so we decided to go here. The food was pretty good and the price and pretty affordable. I really loved the Roti Canai I was very tempted to order lots of it, especially when you dip it into the sauce but I think $6 for it was a little much for so little.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
The curry beef noodle soup and and pineapple fried rice were seriously sooo delicious!

David K.

Yelp
Food is ok. Tried the curry chicken noodle, seafood noodle, curry chicken rice and the tofu casserole. Overall food was mediocre at best, it lacks a depth of flavor and we were given day old rice. Presentation of the interior is quite nice but aside from that, not the greatest. Would try other things around the neighborhood if you could.

Elisa H.

Yelp
Unassuming store front where you'd have to look twice to read the signage. Once through the door- it takes a different vibe. Large, clean and modern- it's not the typical Asian spot you'd expect from this part of town. It's still noisy but that's just any restaurant in all of nyc. We shared the Penang keuw toh- a Malaysian styled pad Thai basically and a small hainan chicken rice. Both were delicious, proportionate and great bang for the buck- again in this part of town it's not unusual to pay well under city standards. The tea was hot which I love and they also had a good drink and appetizer menu. I didn't know before but was told this was the former nyonya as the design was the same. Definitely be back for the Penang KT which was piping hot, perfect chew and had great wok fire grill taste.

Shirley H.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Malaysian cuisine, and I definitely was not disappointed! The string beans and chicken skewers were amazing, and the Pad Thai was made right! Not only did everything look delicious, the flavors were perfect! I'll definitely return to this place when I visit Brooklyn.

Kimbo S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit here with my family. I don't understand why there were so many negative reviews, everything here was pretty good! We came on a Sunday afternoon, and was seated immediately. We ordered roti, half a Haian Chicken, a seafood noodle casserole, and a fish head soup curry. As our food was coming out one by one, the staff checked up on us constantly to see if we were okay. -The roti was delicious, standard crispy roti, with a side of chicken curry for dipping. You can't go wrong. -The Haian chicken came out next and that was also solid. Really good, tender chicken that was seasoned well, and cut perfectly. (It comes out cold, so if you aren't used to cold chicken, tell them to make it warm) -The next dish was my absolute favorite and it was the seafood noodle casserole in a thick eggy sauce. The noodles were nothing like I had before. They almost look like worms but they were chewy, and the sauce was amazing. There was plenty of seafood. -Lastly, my parents ordered the fish head curry. I didn't try it because it isn't my thing, but they said it was pretty good. I believe there was a previous restaurant opened at this location, and they closed down. I am so glad Langkawi opened instead. The restaurant was much cleaner than the previous, and the food is much better as well. Highly recommend you give it a try!

Elaine L.

Yelp
First of all, how are you going to be a Malaysian food restaurant without their signature dishes like hainanese chicken DURING LUNCH TIME, where a lot of people would order that? I ordered two Thai iced teas and I saw that the waitress ran out of the tea for the second cup so she pours some tea from the first cup into the second... also did not provide straws?? And ice was filled to the brim which left space for like 10% of actual drink... also I believe that she added the grass jelly to fill in the empty spaces that she could not fill with ice since it would be 99% ice. I have never gotten Thai ice tea with grass jelly. ANYWHERE nor did I ask to add it in. I recommend ordering "no ice" if you are getting any drinks. Service was also terrible. I will definitely not be coming back here. Ever.

Mel T.

Yelp
I don't know why, but there is a shortage of good Malaysian restaurants in this neighborhood. Unfortunately, Langkawi was no different. It started out pretty okay. We ordered some roti, which was pretty standard, and some satay tofu - wasn't the best with its soggy cucumbers but could have been worse. Then my parents tried to order Hainanese chicken and they said they were sold out. It was only 2 pm at that point, so not sure what they were going to do about the dinner rush (or maybe they don't really get dinner rushes). Fine, so we ordered something else. My dad ordered the chicken curry with bone, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken curry without bone (this was an option on the menu). My dad's dish came out looking like chicken curry. But BF's dish came out looking like Kung Pao chicken. We asked one of the servers and she confirmed it was Kung Pao chicken and walked away. So we told another server that we ordered curry and she tried to convince us that it WAS curry and that's what the boneless version looked like! I don't know what kind of curry is sautéed with peppers and onions! We told them that if that was the case, we wanted to switch it to the curry with bone, and the server said, "but we made this already." After we needed to persuade them that the KP chicken was in fact NOT what we ordered, they finally switched it out and brought us some curry. They have multiple people waiting on one table (not sure why) so I think that's what caused the confusion amongst them. I ordered the salted fish with shrimp and chicken noodles. These were only okay. It came with pork and squid instead of chicken, so it seems like they just throw whatever they have available into the stir fry. The only thing I really liked was my mom's fish head soup. The fish wasn't the freshest, but the broth was the perfect combination of sour and sweet. Even so, I definitely wouldn't come back just for that.

Kevin H.

Yelp
The curry noodles with young Tao fu was amazing. I used to work a restaurant that also served Malaysian curry so I am a little picky when it comes to curry. The fried tofu skin was extremely crispy and the noodles were firm. This particular dish comes with different ingredients depending on the restaurant. In my order there was stuffed tofu, fried fish cake, and I think the last one was a stuffed eggplant. Everything tasted really good and the curry has a lot of flavor but is not spicy. However, while being delivered some of the curry leaked out of the container. This led to a little bit of a mess and it left a very light yellow stain that I couldn't get out of my table. Even with the stain and mess I think the curry was 100% worth it and I will definitely be ordering from here again. Be careful not to get any of the curry on your clothes or furniture.

Janice L.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Langkawi with my family! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Although we enjoyed all the dishes, some things to point out was the achat (pickled vegetables with sesame), it wasn't too vinegary or sour; the beef belly simply melted in your mouth; the stewed beef was tender and wasn't too spicy; and the roti tower appetizer became our dessert - we thought it tasted like Frosted Flakes BUT better! Lol Super attentive service and a clean restaurant! The only thing I'm questioning is why they didn't bring out the appetizers before the entrees? They brought it all at once which wasn't what I expected.

He L.

Yelp
ordered a curry sea food rice noodle and give me something else instead and refuses to refund me or give me a new order. Been a customer for this place for over 10 years but I'm definitely not going back again due to this kind of service.

Yelp
Click Link For Full Video: https://youtu.be/LIzaH7ahGqY Ummm... where do we start.... We initially expected NYONYA - you know, the restaurant that I fell in love only a few weeks (you will be missed): RIP). But granted, we anticipated NYONYA, and our intention was to have Malaysian Food, and being that we didn't want to disappoint our stomach, we decided to give Langkawi a chance. As a disclaimer: NYONYA Brooklyn was purchased by new ownership, but the original still exist in Manhattan. For those not familiar with the translation of Langkawi, here's Wikipedia's data (I humbly don't want to butcher it by paraphrasing): Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, is a district and an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. When we checked out the menu, we did notice that there was a lot of items that were still the same (Roti Canai, my favorite, which is still there YAY!!) The food wasn't as impressive as my initial introduction to Malaysian food, but considering their attention to flavor, my fandom has been solidified. Malaysian cuisine pays a lot of attention to layering their ingredients, thus, developing Michelin Star worthy reviews - it's SPECTACULAR!!!! The Meal: We ordered Hainanese Chicken w/ Rice & Beef Stew Curry w/ noodles. The Hainanese Chicken Rice is unfamiliar to an American's taste buds (I, Darrel); because Hainanese Chicken is typically served room temperature (at least from my research on the internet). It was is a bit striking, because of the expectation of it being warm, but once your mind adjusts, it's quite tasty. The Beef Stew Curry w/ Noodles was our favorite. The broth was (blank - don't have words to explain it); it was spicy and flavorful. It was perfectly balanced. The beef chunks were tender and not fatty. If I could compare it to something that I am familiar with I would say it would be similar to the consistency (the thickness of the broth) of a ramen dish, but with curry. One plus about the new ownership, Nyonya was a cash only business, whereas, the new owner will be taking credit cards. Bonus: We were offered a - from what I assume - dessert bowl. We eat the mystery bowl with out a clue; it wasn't until we arrived home, did research on menu, that we determined what this black-gelatin dessert was (for context). We were served "Pulut Hitam" - a black glutinous rice with coconut milk (as the menu describes). It was delicious!!! The portion size was perfect - not too much to be overwhelming; just right. We appreciate all the support for our videos and would love feedback. If you have additional insight or want to recommend dishes, please drop a comment. As always, if you like what you see, hit the like and subscribe button. Instagram: @SomeWhereFarFar Here's our first review (make sure to check out video in the end credits): Part 1 I'm so Impressed, I'm Speechless... I Just Had The Best Food Of My Life I've never experience anything like this (I, Darrel). I was a firm believer that there wasn't a more flavorful cuisine other than Mexican - I utterly stand corrected.

Yelp
Had time to kill, spotted a new malaysian and thai restaurant across the street and off i went!!! Was greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant by a waitress. So the interior is very similar to the old Nyonya restaurant that used to be here. Just all new tables and chairs, redesigned walls and lighting. Much cleaner and more of a modern look. The menu appears to be similar (or maybe all malaysian restaurants pretty much serve the same things lol). I ordered the Prawn Mee noodle soup (my fav and goto item whenever im visiting a Malaysian joint). I was surprised at how good my meal tasted. Usually the shrimp would taste soggy or have a weird texture due to sitting in the broth but the shrimp served in this bowl was fresh and had a crunch to it! Chicken slices were nice and tender, not chewy or rubbery at all! I enjoyed my Prawn Mee noodles. Staff were very attentive, always smiling and being courteous, checkin on me to see if i needed anything else. At the end, the waitress collecting my bowl even asked if the noodles were ok, when i told her yes it was great, she was so happy and smiled! Would definitely come back to visit this establishment with friends/family next time. They take cash only for the time being so make sure you have cash!!

Yelp
This place used to be Nyonya. It basically has the same menu and look, and the food is pretty much the same as it was. So maybe it was a change in name only? We ordered all our favorite Malaysian dishes for takeout, including the Langkawi chicken, chicken/shrimp taro nest, ladyfingers w/shrimp paste, and the sizzling tofu. All very delicious, which is standard for most of the Malaysian restaurants in this part of Brooklyn.

Yelp
Terrible service knock one star off. I walked in, there was no hostess or anybody to seat you. The restaurant was very empty. After five minutes, we got seated. We ordered shrimp with lady finger, salty fish fried noodle, and Malaysia spare ribs. The shrimp and lady finger was tasty. Salty fish fried noodle has no salty fish taste and it was a bit bland. Malaysia spare rib was delicious. Nobody came to refill my tea or check on us. After eating, we waited another 10-15 minutes to flag down a server to get a check. I think we could have left the restaurant without paying for the bill and nobody will notice.

Yelp
After a long day of having my 2020 taxes done with my Accountant, it was a welcome reprieve to have a good lunch with yummy food - indoor seating.

Yelp
I wanted to try some Malaysian foods and i heard about this restaurant. So i went their around 6 pm and it wasn't that busy but it was cold because of the Air Condition was on. The staff very friendly and place was very clean. We order a couple of dishes and it came pretty fast. The foods was very good and i will definitely come back here again.

Yelp
We don't like it and you won't like it. Not authentic. Ok food but definitely not worth the price.

Yelp
Consistently good/great. Difficult to stray from my usual Roti Canai & Curry Mee Tofu Noodle Soup. The former being such a great value loaded with home crafted seafood paste/tofu fried packages and textures. Thick coconut broth heavenly and thick noodles with just the right amount of spring to them! I love this and consistently great! The Roti last visit was perfect, not too dry/crispy with some areas of chewy goodness remaining. The chef who stretched it over the iron knew what he/she was doing resulting in a beautifully un-even profile...crisp yet chewy! This time we had the whole works. Hainanese Chicken and Chicken Rice on-point. Pad Thai/Pad See Yew ok but portions on the smaller side. HOUSE MADE TOFU CASSEROLE was 10/10. They make their own tofu in-house! Must try this dish! Keep it up!

Yelp
Called for take out on a Sunday night, last that picked up was really nice. Ordered half a hainanese chicken, clay pot pearl noodle, roti, curry chicken and pork chop with Peking sauce. All the dishes were really good, only thing is the portion is rather small for the price. $6 for the appetizer of roti which is the size of a tissue i personally think is over priced. The curry chicken was really good, and the portion size of that was good. The pork chop with Peking sauce was small pieces but the taste was delicious, it was crispy and soft on the inside and the sauce was a good amount of sweet and tangy. I would order again but just not as often.

Yelp
Tried takeout from this place twice this pandemic. First time I got Hainanese chicken rice. Second time was the Roti Telor. The Hainanese chicken was very good and very filling. It isn't the best Hainanese chicken rice, but it has a comforting taste. Because I was happy with my first takeout, I tried the second time. This time I was tried from working late and just wanted something light before passing out at home, so I got an appetizer. The Roti was more like a scallion pancake and extremely oily. The actual curry it came with was in a tiny container. On top was this layer of oil. Considering I was waiting for them to finish my order, I expected it to be hot. But it was basically room temp...in the microwave it went.
