Traditionally stylish hotel, but not exactly quiet. The three of us stayed in two rooms over X-mas. Pros: - Very stylish, beautiful hotel (charming bathrooms, beautiful furniture, old-time elevator, beautiful building) - Great staff, super helpful, very friendly - Outstanding and moderately priced breakfast buffet Cons: - Loud: We were on the first floor and could hear loud music from the bar / restaurant below every night. They do make sure to stop around midnight, but in my view if you pay top $$$ for a room, it shouldn't be shaking with the booming of a live band for six hours. - Loud: The hotel is opposite the train station and that makes the whole place feel very busy. There are always people outside, tons of skiers walking around in ski boots, trucks stopping in front of the hotel, etc. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, this is not for you. - Space: This hotel practices space optimization just like most places in this area do. The twin beds in a twin room are not really twin beds but more like two thirds of twin beds. Storage is EXTREMELY limited, you will probably be living out of your open suitcase. The closets could just as well have been painted on the wall. They are maybe 20cms deep, you can maybe stack some socks in there and hang a single shirt, that's it. Bottom line: If you're looking to party, don't have too much stuff and are looking mainly for old school charm and style, this is probably for you. If you're looking for some peace and quiet and a place to hang your clothes, this is definitely not for you.

Cozy Stay with Unbeatable Views & Prime Location. We booked a last-minute stay here for about £200 while passing through Chamonix. While the room was a bit small—likely due to the short notice—it was incredibly cozy and featured an amazing view - attached pictures. The location is the hotel's strongest asset: • Convenience: Situated directly across from the Chamonix train station. • Access: Less than a minute’s walk to the bustling city centre. • Dining: Surrounded by a fantastic variety of restaurants, ranging from fresh seafood and French classics to Italian and Chinese. Dining & Amenities The ground floor houses both a pub and a restaurant. While the restaurant space was slightly smaller than expected, the breakfast buffet offered a decent selection. Service at breakfast was a little slow, with clearing and restocking taking some time (though this was likely due to the holiday rush on Christmas morning). It didn't ruin the experience, but it did cause a slight delay. One small wish for the future: it would have been lovely if the pub offered room service for drinks. Despite the minor service delays, I absolutely loved this hotel. Between the spectacular views and the perfect central location, it’s a wonderful choice for a stay in Chamonix.

Me and my family came here for NYE, it was fantastic. It was a set menu including smoked salmon bellinis at the entrance. When we arrived we were given a glass of champagne. The food was incredible, the fillet of beef was the highlight. The vibes were also really great. The staff were incredible, so chatty and super attentive, we constantly were having our glasses filled. I strongly recommend this place, especially for new years eve. A plus the value for money was amazing!

Perfect location opposite the train station, 2 minute walk from main shops and restaurants which meant it was quiet. Lovely friendly staff. It’s obviously newly renovated so some loose ends they are just tying up but we really liked it. Small rooms and is normal in hotels in Europe but enough space for two!

Myself and my husband stayed here for our anniversary and we had the best time! The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, such friendly faces every time you entered! Location is perfect, right beside the train station. Rooms were beautiful with such character, our balcony had the most amazing view over the mountains! Thank you

It is close to the train station. The staff are kind and friendly. It is Pet friendly accommodation. The hotel has a nice restaurant where I got dinner. I had Pesto pasta, Caesar salad, Creme brûlée, everything tasted good. I would recommend them.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in Chamonix at the beginning of September, in room 205 this time. Great historic hotel. Location is perfect. Parking free. The rooms are spacious and traditionally appointed with appropriate decor. The antique lift is a luxury to be experienced. Our balcony views of Mt. Blanc in the moon light and with our morning coffees were spectacular to say the least. The front desk manager Valeria from Argentina was happy, helpful and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would not for a second hesitate to recommend to all family and friends. Thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable.
