Lango Design Hotel & Spa (Kos, Greek Islands) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Though it’s hardly undiscovered country for travelers in general, the Greek island of Kos has been relatively late to embrace the boutique-hotel boom. With Lango Design Hotel & Spa, however, the island is making up for lost time. This 54-room adults-only luxury boutique hotel is as polished as they come, a vision in near-monochrome minimalism, set right across the road from Lambi Beach and a few minutes’ walk from the Kos town center." - Tablet Hotels

On my last day at Lango today (or tonight). Absolutely stunning place. Brand new, clean and well-positioned for Kos Harbour and many local restaurants and shops. First of all, I’d like to say this is one of the nicest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. It’s well-appointed (although without an iron and ironing board) with enough storage space for two as well as a nice comfy bed with adequate space. Our room had two balconies and they made like a little sitting area with a couch and desk! The rooms also come with a nice pillow menu so you can make your pick depending on what kind of sleeper you are. I found the pillows already put to be suitable enough for me and I slept very well. The cleaners do two rounds a day: in the morning and early afternoon in case you want a lie-in. They leave snacks for you every evening. The hotel is in front of a road, so you will get noise, but across that road is the exclusive adults-only beach which was extremely quiet at the time I visited and devoid of terrible noise and distraction. A nice place to fall asleep. Found the hotel’s restaurant to be lacking in choice, flavour and a little expensive. The restaurant staff, however, are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The overall vibe of the hotel is quiet and relaxing, with the pool and communal areas offering a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, a great stay that I would recommend to anyone.

Me and my wife had our honeymoon at Lango and we had an absolutely lovely time. We had a room with a private pool which meant we didn't spend much time at the main pool, which felt like we had more time to ourselves. Very spacious room and garden, with snacks and water left in our room every day. The buffet breakfast is incredible with basically all you could ask for, however the dinner/lunch menu is limited but very nice. Private beach directly opposite the hotel always has room with big comfortable sunbeds, not the best visibility for snorkellers though if that's your thing. A few bars, cafes and shops are very close by and Kos town is 20 mins walk with loads more to do, waiting for a taxi back can take a while though.|Very attentive staff, very clean, very modern. The spa has lots of options and we had some kind of treatment most days we were there. All in all an amazing hotel, thanks Lango!

Overall, a great, modern hotel close to the beach and Kos city. Positive highlights: Breakfast buffet is amazing with a variety of served food (incl. fresh fruits, vegetables etc.). The photogenic pool is large and has enough sunbeds. The rooms are modern and well equipped, as well as cleaned daily with a housekeeping before dinner with some little treats. The saunas and spa area are great, as well. At any time, the entire hotel was kept clean and the service very friendly. To highlight, we arrived earlier and got the chance to check in accordingly. Generally, the location is great to relax on the (windy) Northern beach and visit the city by bike (c. 10 min). Water is always refilled (hotel room, at the beach etc.) and the beach has a mixture of sand and pebbles. Some room for improvement: The gym could be a bit larger and better equipped (sufficient but not overwhelming). The food or drinks are quite pricy (even higher than in Munich downtown). Thus, it is recommended to visit the city for authentic Greek food at fairer prices. As the hotel is located directly at the street (and even the windows are not fully absorbing the noise), there‘s a level of noiseness when motorbikes are driving by in the evening. For us, it was okay - this should be kept in mind for the next years when more hotels are built in the Northern area and traffic will increase accordingly as it‘s the main street to Kos city from the Northern side.

From the moment we booked our holiday at Langon, we knew it was special. We contacted Zinet, the Manager at Langon prior to arrive. We asked her for recommendations for our 6 night stay for dinner. She coordinated some wonderful places and best tables. ||In the morning, we were always greeted with a smile and hello. Alexandra, Adriana, Atea and Michael were always willing and able to make the breakfast experience so wonderful. A great assortment of eggs, meats, breads, desserts and coffee selections were amazing.||We had lunch one day at the resort. The club sandwich was huge and delicious. The Caesar Salad was also wonderful.||Elena, Katerina and Fokion at the front at night were always willing to offer their experience on recommendations to do. They were always a warm gesture in the evening.||If I forgot anyone, I apologize. Everyone went above and beyond every day.||Kos has over 10 miles of dedicated bike lanes. You can coordinate bike rentals at the hotel. The beach across the street for the guests was wonderful and warm. It gets a bit windy so if it is not great, go to Mylos a private beach bar that has less wind.||Great food, excellent service and superb people at this resort.

The hotel is some 2.5km from Kos town centre and the port area. And that was the main issue for us. It would be okay to walk but the cycle path that runs along the road makes this a hazardous journey, as bikes and e-scooters are sweeping past with little concern seemingly for the safety of anyone walking. ||The taxi situation in Kos is a real pain. Not enough taxis full stop. We had a boat trip organised from the port area, and had a great time. But then we had to wait for a taxi at the taxi rank. After 1 1/2 hours we finally got one. It put a damper on what should have been an enjoyable day. Expecting people to stand in a queue for that amount of time in full sun is just ridiculous. We wouldn't go back to Kos for that issue alone.||In addition the orientation of the hotel and Beach area front onto the prevailing winds. Our room was front facing with a large balcony and hot tub. We couldn't really venture out onto our balcony or contemplate using the hot tub because it was so windy as to make it unpleasant. We used the beach area once - very nice and service was good, but the sea was quite choppy and other days it was almost impossible to use do to the wind.||The room was okay - pretty basic furnishings, a stupidly designed bathroom behind the bed with no night lights meaning you had no option but to turn the main lights on if you needed to visit the toilet during the night, disrupting your partners sleep. Turndown was non existent - a couple of bottles of water left in the room - no genuine turn down, or sorting out bathroom towels etc, which given nowhere to hang towels/towel rail meant we had damp towels each morning.||The hotel itself is very nicely done, but with limited grounds to play with, it has the feeling of everything being on top of you. Little space outside of the buildings and pool area. ||Pool area was nice, and sheltered from the wind. Service was patchy. Nobody walking around asking if you need anything, and no water provided.||Breakfast was pretty limited when it came to cooked options, and replenishment was patchy. We did like the milk choices, where you can help yourself from the fridge. ||We tried dinner one night, not realising that entertainment was also laid on. The singing was very Loud and quite intrusive making it hard to have a conversation with your partner. Not many turned out for it and to be honest we wouldn't recommend it. Every evening the hotel had a distinctly empty/quiet feel, so if you are looking for a bit of buzz this is not the place for you.||Overall we thought the hotel was okay, but the location was a big let down as was the prevailing wind making it difficult/impossible to use the beach and our balcony.

We have had an amazing experience at this 5 star luxurious resort. We would like to thank all the staff for their dedication in making their guests feel really special. There would be too many staff to mention by name from the Reception staff, breakfast staff and evening dinner staff. The rooms were immaculate thanks to the hardworking housekeepers who serviced the room twice daily. The breakfast was well stocked with a lovely outlook overlooking the glorious pool. As we ate in the hotel every evening of our stay we can definitely recommend the restaurant as every meal was delicious with a good selection of dinners available. We chose a room with its own pool which was well worth the extra money. The beach opposite was lovely with plenty of sun beds and cabanas with the ever attentive staff supplying us with iced water for our comfort. The gym was adequately equipped with bottles of water also supplied. Overall this was a really relaxing and peaceful experience and we will certainly be returning. We cannot recommend this outstanding adults only hotel high enough. Thanks Richard & Sue

Our stay at Lango Design Hotel was very pleasant. The staff were warm and welcoming, always happy to help when needed. The hotel was spotless and well kept, with a lovely interior and nice attention to detail. The beach in front was convenient, and the sunsets over the horizon of the sea were beautiful to watch in the evenings. The location was also handy, only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the town. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time now, and once again, we were absolutely thrilled. We even requested to arrive two nights earlier, and they confirmed it right away without any issues. The atmosphere in the hotel is simply fantastic. A special mention goes to the ladies at the reception and the waitresses — they were always incredibly friendly and attentive. They even remembered our morning routine and were always accommodating. The rooms are very cozy and always clean. Even the cleaning staff were always cheerful and in a good mood. We personally fell in love with the pool and spent most of our time there. All in all, we honestly can’t imagine a better place to relax. We would highly recommend this hotel in every respect
