What an incredible experience. Greeted from the time we stepped foot in the door, and escorted to the beautiful reflection room, the change rooms and lounge area were beautiful and clean. The staff are so friendly and very knowledgable about the culture and techniques of the services they offer and the vibe they strive for. The atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. I found myself lounging and drifting in and out of sleep outside under a tree in the hydrotherapy garden. I could listen to the calm of the breeze and chirps of the tropical birds all day. Our massages were fantastic. The therapists that worked on us were very kind and thorough. The lounge area has lots of snacks and beverages to choose from. The steam and saunas were clean, and very relaxing. The pools and baths in the garden are perfect temperatures for a refresh and relax following your treatment. I myself work in the spa industry, and it is tough for me to find relaxation, and I was able to achieve it at Laniwai. I would 100% come back to this spa!

Google
Absolutely the greatest spa experience of my life. Services, atmosphere, lounge areas, all were top notch. This was my wife and my first trip to Hawaii, but Laniwai will be an every-time booking for us every time we come back! Mahalo to the wonderful team at Laniwai!!

Beautiful interior. Lovely staff and snacks. The banana bread chef special was out of the world delicious! Enjoyed all the amenities in the spa before Lomi Lomi massage. Soaking pools and rain showers were a nice plus away from crowded places in the resort. The experience started with picking a stone with Hawaiian word and walking through a corridor to a beautiful pond. The end of the service with a surprise gift was also very thoughtful. Jess our concierge was friendly abs professional. She introduced the amenities with care. Also a delightful experiencing settling the bill at the end.

Let me start off by saying I was quite skeptical of the service I was going to receive versus what I paid. I could not be happier. Worth every penny. From your first step into the facility to the final moment prior to you leaving the area, every instance is carefully crafted to support your experience. I had booked a hot stone massage and had the pleasure of working with Laurie. I can honestly say I have never felt more relaxed in my entire life. I’m glad I didn’t have to drive after, I felt quite disoriented!

What a beautiful place to come and relax! I don't know if things have changed because of covid, but I thought coming here I could have the whole day to relax and enjoy. When I made the appointment, they told me we only have 1 hour before our treatment time to use the amenities. After checking in, a tour, and changing into our robe, we now only had 45 minutes, but wait, they ask if we can make our way to the relaxation lounge to get picked up for our service at least 10 minutes before... so now I feel more stressed that I didn't get to enjoy all the amenities. We got picked up on time and headed to the couples room.... we booked the lomi lomi Massage. My therapist was great, but i wouldn't say it's a lomi lomi massage (no full body strokes).. I did love the little touches of the stone and the salt gift after, but I just wish maybe we could use the amenities an hour before and after. It would be nice!

Amazing spa experience, highly recommend to book a massage , if you visiting this resort .

Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth every penny? YES. My husband and I booked a couples Lomi Lomi (traditional Hawaiian) 50 min massage. Slightly apprehensive with sticker shock, we stuck with the shorter, cheaper option. During and after the service, I wish I would have booked the longer service. You are getting so much more than just a massage. This is an EXPERIENCE. This spa has it all! My husband and I really enjoyed the hot jacuzzi and cold plunge combo before the treatment, as well as the sauna and steam room. The light snacks and refreshments were a nice touch, as well. You are also assigned a cast member to guide you through the experience and keep track of time for you. Time and stress don’t exist here. As someone who works in this industry, I appreciated every detail Laniwai and Disney put into the spa. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy. The staff is professional yet warm. The 50 min massage was actually a full two hour experience. I heavily debated coming back for more services after ours was over. We even ended buying the robes they give you to wear there because they are so comfortable. Thank you to the front desk for letting us try them on and helping us pick the perfect fit. As for the actual massage, it was quite comprehensive for 50 minutes. My therapist was Jamie and she was absolutely wonderful. She made sure I was comfortable and the pressure was perfect throughout the service. I have had many massages and this one was one I will never forgot. I even joked with Jamie to come back to Ohio with me :) thank you Jamie and the entire team at Laniwai! This is now a must do for us every time we visit Oahu.

Google
Loved the 1 hour pre-massage outdoor relaxation area. George gave an amazing Lomi-Lomi massage. The shower area was a great perk for a late check out/trip home later in the day.

Yelp
I've been to Laniwai Spa multiple times over the last decade--I went back again today and was just blown away again at how great it is. I've been to many spas throughout the US, some of which charge twice as much for a massage, and are half as good. The amenities are outstanding--since the last time I was there, they added massage chairs to their women's relaxation lounge! And my massage with Erica was one of the best I've ever had--she was amazing! No trip to West Oahu is complete without a trip to Laniwai, IMO.

Yelp
January 2025 - My mom and I treated ourselves to 80-minute Lomi Lomi massages at Laniwai during our last trip to Aulani. From the moment we walked in, it was a relaxing, lovely experience. We didn't have much time to enjoy the gardens before our services as we upgraded to longer massages at the last minute, but the staff informed us we could stay after to enjoy the pools, rain showers, cold plunge and hot tub, sauna, and steam room afterwards. My massage itself was wonderful and I appreciated the choice to pick my music and lotion scent - I only wish Disney music was a choice as well! My massage therapist also asked me about pressure several times throughout. The 80 minutes went by very quickly! I enjoyed the gardens and steam room after my massage, and enjoyed some of the infused waters and light snacks too! I highly recommend making time to do this if staying at Aulani or if you are in the area. I'll be back next time I visit.

Yelp
Everything was worth it!!!! 4 pools including jacuzzi , 6 different hydrotherapy showers, several massage chairs, sauna and eucalyptus steam room. The steam room alone was cleansing inside and out! Locker rooms with showers, restrooms, and private changing rooms. Toiletries are available. Snacks and water stations provided. Robes, slippers and towels. Swimsuits required. I highly recommend using your robe only when it's time for your service.

Yelp
The amenities at this spa are unlike any other spa on this island. I've gotten countless massages at many different hotels and have a massage membership somewhere else on the island but love this place for the amazing amenities! They have different plunge pools, different outdoor water pressure showers, a eucalyptus steam room, and massage chairs with blankets! They also offer delicious waters and pastries! My massage therapist was also great and took care of the knots I wanted to get taken care of a few weeks ago with a different massage therapist I texted all my girlfriends after i left and suggested a girls spa day there! Overall I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I came here with my daughter to enjoy a day of pampering and relaxation. Everyone from Aulani was so friendly!! From the staff at valet to the concierge who greet you with "welcome home," to everyone at Laniwai Spa. Once you are greeted at the front desk you are welcomed to take a seat and wait for your "lady," to come and get you. Like all the other reviews, you are asked to set an intention and pick a stone which you can later release into the reflection "pool." Your attendant then takes you on a tour of the facility, given a locker where you can set your own lock. From an indoor lounging area with semi-private chaises you are invited to have some tea and a light snack either before or after your spa treatment to the outdoor amenities of a three tempered hot soaking tubs to a cool bath and varying shower heads that they call "hydrotherapy," Laniwai has something for everyone. They have a steam room and a sauna, loaded showers and changing rooms as well as a large shared vanity that you can finish off at. The massage was wonderful! Pressure was perfect and very little talking and unnecessary movements in the room. Definitely a very relaxing experience! Once done, you are invited to take your time and to enjoy the facility at your leisure.

Yelp
The extra part of the spa is that you get to use the hot jacuzzi and plunge pool next to it to stimulate your circulation. They tell you to show up an hour before your appointment to experience the outdoor facilities. The only thing was, I could smell fried food in the garden, so they should vent the food from the restaurant somewhere else. There are also rocks that you could walk on for a stimulating foot massage. I booked the Lomi lomi signature massage: Awesome massage, long strokes with hot stone. You can choose from several scents: Lavender, pineapple, and some other ones I don't recall. I chose the pineapple of course because Hawaii. I loved the scent so much I bought a bottle of lotion, which is the Maui pineapple brand they sell everywhere in the resorts. So relaxing, so luxurious.

Yelp
I'm always down for a massage especially when it comes with extra amenities to enjoy! I did appreciate the spa allowing my husband and I to come even earlier than an hour before our appointment so we could relax & explore the spa because we literally had to be out ASAP. With that said, the ambiance was great and offered a lot of privacy because we were one of the last couples to receive services. The only downside to that was feeling like we were hella rushed at the end. Definitely on the pricier side but we're all about experiences and this was our first time staying at Aulani... Disney... Hawaii. Enough said. My only wish was that the staff was consistent with the pressure, I felt like I kept having to ask for more pressure & my husband had no complaints about his massage. Our moms who had a service earlier the same day had the same experience, my MIL had no complaints and my mom thought it was a waste of money.

Yelp
Love me some spa and have been yo many across the islands but this was my first time at Laniwai, Aulani. I've heard some complaints that this spa is unkind to kamaaina but I did not find that to be the case. However, they are very strict on how much time you can spend at the spa. They allow check in 1 hour before your service, which really isn't long enough considering that it takes a while to get checked in and settled. Plus the amenities are indoor and outdoor so it would be great to spend some time there. I think that's my only complaint. Otherwise, I loved it, great amenities, super awesome massage and an overall sweet service.

Yelp
First time staying at Aulani to celebrate hubby's birthday and Babymoon. I've decided to get 80mins prenatal message. I made appointment about 2 weeks prior of arrival and glad I was able to get afternoon session. Wish I would take more pictures but I was so amazed with the customer services provided by everyone at the spa and the ambience of this place. Everything so clean, smell amazing with Hawaiian aroma and the set up of the rooms from preparation of changing clothes, bathrooms and showers also waiting room area with fancy orthopedic chairs while we waited for our massage therapy called us in. Simply amazing! I fell asleep throughout the massage and my tech was very professional. Definitely recommend this place. It's not cheap but you get that wonderful experience for every cents you spent!

Yelp
11/19/24 OMG Laniwai spa has the best couples Massage experience! The Ōhi'a Lehua "Love Story" for Two 80 mins was soooo relaxing! Skin left super soft & smooth. Kudos to our 2.30pm female technicians. She found knots I didn't know needed work! Utilize the steam room after your massage and grab a cold face towel from the drawer b4 entering, you'll thank me later! Use the "wet" bag for your bathing suits and arrive 1 hour b4 your massage to get full opportunity to experience the hydrotherapy garden!

Yelp
You definitely get what you pay for here. Probably the best massage I have ever gotten. Initially thought it was kind of expensive for a massage but I don't regret it and would go again.

Yelp
Amazing! Love this facility. Booked 50min deep tissue massage, and boy did I feel deep tissue massage! Therapist Matthew was Awesome! He knew how much i paid n he made sure I rec'd the best service. It is expensive, but it is so worth it.

Yelp
Every time I visit Oahu, I make sure to book a Lomi Lomi massage here! They are just the best of allll the spas out in Oahu. I love how when you enter the spa, you choose a rock with a message and throw into the water aka "giving back to the earth." My message this time was, "Harmony." My massage therapist was amazing! I had a sore lower back from carrying my two year old. She applied medium pressure and I felt my body melt into the table. I was sooo relaxed. Towards the end, she did these stretches with my legs to relieve the pressure in my lower back. I really appreciated that! This time, I really took my time with the amenities because it was my birthday! After the massage, I spent time in the steam room which smelled of lavender. After exiting the steam room, you'll find eucalyptus infused cold wash cloths to refresh yourself. I relaxed in the hydrotherapy garden where you'll find beautiful hot tubs, a dipping pool and shower area with multiple shower heads surrounded by palm trees and beds to sun bathe in. To top it off, I relaxed in the Relaxation Room where there are a massage beds that you can adjust the speed and location the massaging will be on your back. There's a good amount of lockers and showers with a vanity that provides essentials like disposable hairbrushes, mouthwash, shampoo & conditioner, and SPF. If you're skeptical to come here because of price, just go. It's WORTH IT!

Yelp
My family and I vacation at Aulani every summer and when I'm here, I treat myself to a Lomi Lomi Massage. The past couple of times, I've gotten an 80 minute massage versus a 50 minute one and it's worth every cent!!! My masseuse was Atsuko and she was AWESOME!!! She worked out every knot in my body from head to toe. She also made sure the pressure was just right and checked in on me throughout the massage. Be sure to arrive an hour ahead of your scheduled appointment so you're able to enjoy the extra amenities the spa has to offer. After I checked in, a Cast Member came to greet me and gave me water and then had me pick a stone. On my way back to the dressing room, she had me close my eyes, make a wish and toss my stone into the pool of water in the center of the spa. Then she walked me back to the dressing room. She then showed me around and I got changed and situated in a relaxation room. There are three of them: one for women, men and a co-ed one. That's where Atsuko greeted me and walked me back to the massage room. The 80 minutes flew by. Don't hesitate to treat yourself at this spa! I highly recommend a massage here!

Yelp
From the moment you walk in, it is aloha. My welcome host provided a gracious tour, superb customer service, hydration immediately and thoughtful explanation of the design elements of the spa, why the laid out floor plan is so important, which is what i've fallen in love with Hawaii. Amenities including the hydrotherapy areas, cold dip, hot tub, light refreshments and the delicious infused waters made my spa visit wonderful. Chenoa did an exquisite job of working out all the crinkles in my Lomi Lomi 50 min massage! The special part of this massage was the focus stone. If money was no object and I could fly back for Chenoa's hands I certainly would! I did not stay on property on this trip so the spa validated my valet service for the day! I look forward to return visit to Oahu and the the Ko Olina area One less star as I had difficulty locating from the lobby area

Yelp
When you go on vacation do you ever think about getting your hair cut? Well you should! If you are staying in Ko Olina, then I definitely recommend you book an appointment with the wonderfully talented Pascal at the Laniwai salon! They are located on the 1st floor at the Disney Aulani resort. Pascal is the most talented stylist that has ever cut my hair. It is magical what he is able to do with my fine/thin hair and he somehow gives it texture and body without thinning it out. It is amazing! It is priceless to be able to sit down in a stylist chair without worrying and that definitely happens at this salon. Talking to Pascal is like talking to a friend. He listens to what you want to do and then he works his magic. He finds the best way to cut and style your hair based on how your hair grows and the thickness of your hair. It's so reassuring and enjoyable! I know that your time on vacation is valuable but it is absolutely worth taking an hour from your day to visit Pascal. You will be thankful that you did! Whether you are visiting Ko Olina or whether you live here, you should go see Pascal.

Yelp
The customer service here is excellent. All the staff is friendly and cheerful. Exactly what you would expect from a Disney establishment. My sister and I got gel manicures. The girls were great. Courteous and thorough. My nails look great. They include tax and tip in the charge so total was about $187. Pretty steep... but it's a resort in Hawaii!

Yelp
I am not really a spa guy; my wife made this appointment for us however it was very nice and relaxing. Little pricy at $185 and 20% gratuity is added automatically. The process is a bit of a ritual. We are guided to the locker room where you store your clothes and put on a robe. Go into a relaxing area and have healthy snacks such as fruit, mini muffins and coconut water while you wait for your massage. The outdoor hydrotherapy garden is very refreshing. You can jump into a very cold tub more like freezing, then a very hot tub. This is supposed to be good for your regulatory system, immune system and increase circulation. Not sure about all that but felt great after. Had Lomilomi massage using Hana Pohaki (heated stones) it was so relaxing. My massage therapist was very pleasant. I chose the coconut lotion and mellow Hawaiian music was played. Not very experienced getting massages but this was wonderful. Comparing notes with my wife, she was asked what type of music she wanted and if she wanted medium or firm massage. I was not asked; I would have gone with firm massage. Since I was wearing a robe, no pictures posted.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Aulani is a busy resort. Book a spa service in advance and take advantage of the outdoor hydrotherapy garden the hour before. Shower outdoors, sit in the sun, plunge in the cold water and soak in one of their many pools. They'll find you in the garden and direct you to a calming room before your service. The friendliest staff works here and I was so close to purchasing one of their incredibly soft robes. I'll be back for one next time!
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
With the price of a massage, you get access to their spa area for a few hours. The Disney resort was the busiest place we went during our vacation and it was nice to be able to spend time at the spa where access is very limited and there were no kids yelling and running around. The massage was nice but not outstanding. If you have the money and the time to spend, this is a nice activity, but not special to Hawaii per se.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday by getting treated to a 80 minute lomi lomi massage. I easily booked my appointment online. I got dropped off by my husband an hour before my massage appointment (actually I showed up 90 minutes before because I mixed up my appointment time but that wasn't a big deal). I checked in at the front desk, paid for my massage which automatically included the 20% tip, then I was taken on a tour of the facilities. The person from the front desk talked about the design of the spa that embodied the Hawaiian culture and she had me close my eyes and pick a stone with a word on it and mine was "happiness", then I made a wish and tossed the rock into the water with other rocks. I given a locker to use to keep my things in which also contained a robe and rubber slippers to use. After I changed into my swimwear, I spent the rest of the time before my massage outside enjoying the warm soaking pool and the hot tub. During that time I also enjoyed some of their flavored water, banana muffins, and granola squares. I was told they would get me 15 before my massage started, but I changed into my robe before then. I took my time getting changed that I didn't have a lot of time to spend inside the relaxation room to try out the massage chairs. My massage therapist, Cherie, got me and she gave a very nice lomi lomi massage with hot stones. After my massage, I took a shower and got changed. The showers had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to use. There's also an area where you can apply make up and use their hair dryers. Cotton swabs for your ears, body lotion, sun screen lotion, and disposable hair brushes were also available. There were lots of towels available at multiple locations inside and outside of the spa. There's a sauna and steam room to use, but I didn't feel like using them that day. After I changed back into my clothes, my husband came to pick me up to go to lunch at Off the Hook upstairs. The front desk validated our parking ticket so that we could have 4 hours to leisurely have lunch and go shopping. I'm thinking this might be my annual birthday gift from now on because I really enjoyed the relaxation and pampering there.

Yelp
I have admittedly never had a spa treatment before; everyone says they're amazing but for one reason or another I have never found myself in the situation of getting one - some day though. Anyway, I heard so many great things about Laniwai Spa, and these Yelp reviews really sell it hard. Because it was a last-minute decision on my part to look into their services, I was struggling to carve time into my itinerary for a treatment. However, I noticed that they offered barber services - including beard trims. I just had my hair cut before coming to Hawaii, but my beard was left too long for my preference and was starting to bother me. A 15-minute trim sounded perfect, so I booked an appointment and made my way over to Laniwai. My walk to Laniwai wasn't far since it's located in Disney's Aulani Resort, where I was staying. At the time of this review, the spa is only open to Aulani guests, as are all the other amenities at the resort due to COVID. Walking in I was immediately greeted by the front desk where a number of cast members were stationed. I checked in and was led to the salon where I had a short wait for the barber. The service was great - Pascal was awesome and really took the time to thoroughly trim my beard. He was from Paris and I'm from New York, so we were able to fill the time with a lot of conversation (trim permitting). Because my beard grows quickly, I asked him to make it on the shorter side, which he did but left enough so that it still looked like a full beard. In the end I was totally satisfied with it - my powers were restored. Checkout was easy, and overall I had a great visit. While $25 plus added gratuity may seem extravagant for a beard trim, you have to remember you're on Disney property. Moreover, Pascal did a great job and the entire aura of the space really heightened the experience. Now that I dipped my toes, I would definitely consider returning here for a spa treatment if I found myself at Aulani again.

Yelp
Laniwai is a calming oasis in the bustling Aulani Resort. My experience was blissful from start to finish. Upon entering the spa area, you are given a refreshing cup of pineapple water and greeted by a beautiful wall waterfall. I was asked to close my eyes and select a stone from a bowl. This stone was to be my mantra for my experience. On one side of the stone was my word in English, and on the other side was my word in Hawaiian. As you walk a little further, there is a pool. I was asked to make a wish and add my stone to the pool. I was then given a tour of the relaxation areas. There were 3 pools of varying temperatures, 90 degrees to 104 degrees, a cold plunge pool, a reflexology pathway to walk upon barefoot, 6 outdoor showers, chairs to lounge and relax in the sun or shade, a sauna, and a eucalyptus steam room. In the waiting room, there are also light snacks such as fruit, mini muffins, and granola bites. Be sure to arrive a hour early in order to enjoy the relaxation area and unwind. If you are in the relaxation area, someone will come out and politely inform you your appointment will begin shortly instead of having to be mindful of the time. When it was time for my treatment, I was taken to my room. Each treatment room is named after a type of rainbow. Once in the room, I was given the option to choose my music, Hawaiian, ocean sounds, bird sounds, or spa music. I was also asked about how I preferred the temperature of the table. For my treatment, I had the triathlon facial. This facial reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone and texture, and rejuvenates sun-damaged skin. I also received a shoulder, arm, and cranial massage. The products used smelled heavenly, and the experience was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep on more than one occasion. After my facial, my therapist gave me a fruit gummy and a glass of water. Upon checking out of the spa, I was also given a small bag with bath salts containing the word from my stone. My experience at Laniwai was tranquil bliss, and I highly recommend you make this a part of your vacation at Aulani.

Yelp
Our daughter gifted hubs and I a most generous early anniversary gift- signature lomilomi massages for each one of us. It was hub's first massage so he was eagerly anticipating it with I think some nervousness. Last night he asked me what he should wear to the spa and garden pool area. The gracious hospitality continues from when you enter their Laniwai doorway until you leave. Our daughter had prepared $50 gift cards worth $400 to cover our treatments. The spa automatically adds on a 20% gratuity and tax. Hubs doesn't know the name of his male massage therapist. I knew where to find him afterwards, in the spa snack room. The first thing he points out is chocolate. While I spent a few minutes in the relaxation room's massage loungers he was scoping out the many snacks. Shenoa was beyond excellent. Her hands, pineapple scented lotion and hot stones felt like silk gliding over my svelte bod. ( don't laugh!) At least she made me feel that way although I told her when she said turnover, " like a whale turning over." Bless her heart, she did not giggle at my comment. Such a luxurious service, can I come monthly? I've tried so many massages on cruise ships and at hotels or spas around the world and Shenoa was outstandingly THE BEST.

Yelp
#1 for 2020 Wow! I'm amazed with over the top ambiance, quality, customer service, experience, plus a plethora of amenities! One of the Cast Members took me on a tour about Laniwai Spa and Kula Wai. Inside Laniwai Spa, you'll be asked to close your eyes and pick a pebble. One of the pebbles I chose was strength, also translated into Hawaiian word, ikaika. As we walked to the middle, I got to toss ikaika pebble back into the wai and see light illuminate. Cast Member will also show you access to amenities, locker room, complimentary robe and slippers, changing room, bathroom, showers, pamper room, two relaxation rooms. Kula Wai is the only outdoor hydrotherapy garden on O'ahu. Dress in swimwear and bask in all water-related activities from taking a shower, enjoying outdoor hydrotherapy garden, cool pools, jacuzzi, cold plunge, and lounge chairs. Walk bare feet on the path of rocks while getting both feet massaged at the same time. I'm able to immerse in Hawaiian culture and be present in the moment. There's an outdoor shower to use before entering any water activity, complimentary water, and choice of a sugar scrub to take home for future use, either Coconut Vanilla or Plumeria. I decided to spend a few hours enjoying all the amenities at Kula Wai, and in Laniwai Spa, to utilize sauna, steam room, restroom, and showers. I ordered lunch via phone, pressed one key, and was informed by kitchen staff to wait about 40 minutes in Kula Wai and Server will find you. Sure enough, I waited for 25 minutes, my Turkey Club with Maui Chips and one dill pickle arrived. After lunch, I made one last trip to the restroom, headed to relaxation room with heated chairs and remote. I could literally sleep in that chair. I also lounged in relaxation room with pineapple infused water, mini oatmeal cookie, fruits, nuts, and candies after my skin yoga facial and before Waiwai Lomi Lomi Massage. I felt rejuvenated and relaxed after having my Skin Yoga Facial and Waiwai Lomi Lomi Massage. Great to run into a familiar face. Must experience this opportunity once in a lifetime! Highly recommend for self-care, ladies get together, and/or couples retreat. I will definitely return at my leisure. I'm in love with the amenities and services!

Yelp
This has got to be one of the best spas I've ever been to in the world! I've heard good things about this spa but I never really thought it would live up to the hype. I was so wrong, it's everything you would want in a spa and more! They have a private relaxation room for men and women and then a joint one with tons of snacks. Their outdoor oasis has a few plunge pools and showers not to mention tons of other amenities. You should come and spend time there before and after your treatment. I decided to get a signature Lomilomi massage and they used hot stones as well as a lomilomi stick. I've never had a massage that was this amazing! The use of the hot stones really take this massage over the edge. I would highly recommend it. Yes it's pricey BUT it's worth every penny! I'll be back and this time, I'm spending my entire day there!

Yelp
Quite pricy, but you're paying extra for being on a Disney campus and for the all-encompassing spa experience. When you first enter Laniwai, a guide will come out to meet you. She'll take you down a beautiful, dimly lit hallway filled with the trickling sound of the indoor waterfall, and will present you with a bowl filled with smooth stones. You close your eyes and pick one out -- the Hawaiian word carved on the rock is sort of like your fortune for the day. (I got "ikaika", meaning "strength.") Then you walk into a tall room with a wishing pool in the center -- this was gorgeous! There's a single glass teardrop hanging from the ceiling, from which drops a slow, single drop of water into the pool. You make a wish and gently place your stone in the water. Then, the guide takes you on a tour of the facility. You leave your belongings in the locker room and then she shows you where the bathroom is and around the outdoor area. You change clothes and get to soak in the various outdoor hot tubs (and really fun/funny massage showers!) for a while before heading in for your massage. (Unfortunately, our time was limited due to current covid safety policies.) Make sure to grab a cold aromatherapy towel on your way in towards the bathrooms! After that, they paired us up with our masseuses and we went into individual rooms. I had the signature lomi lomi, with hot rocks. Honestly, it wasn't the BEST massage I've ever had, but it was good. The woman who did my massage was nice to talk to, knowledgable about her craft, and had the right balance of talking and silence. After we were done, we would have loved to relax on some of the comfortable seats, but we had to leave relatively quickly because of covid time limitations. Out in the lobby, they gave us bath salts that matched each of the Hawaiian words we got on the stones earlier. Overall, I don't know if I'd go back unless I was bringing someone who I wanted to impress with a real "spa experience" (like my mom, maybe). But it was definitely a nice experience!

Yelp
I highly recommend a massage or body treatment here. The amenities are nice. Definitely take advantage of the quiet relaxation pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge! Yes it's a Disney resort full of families, but it's so nice to take a break from the kiddos and the busy-ness on the rest of the resort! It's so peaceful and staff is friendly. I've had a couple Lomi Lomi massages and the Wai LomiLomi-Tropical Rainforest body exfoliation treatment all with Jenna. She truly has a magical touch. I like lighter massages, my aunt likes deep tissue and mother-in-law likes medium pressure. We've all had massages from Jenna and absolutely loved our experiences. I'm normally not a massage girl, but when I visit Aulani, I have to get a massage now! She's so sweet and made us all very comfortable. Laniwai is lucky to have her! Thank you Laniwai for a great experience!

Yelp
Great place to relax and get some time away from the kids. We were a little rushed because we sent our kids to Aunty's Beach House but that's a different review. The massage was just right. The facility is beautiful. I would do it again.

Yelp
massage itself was just ok, but the overall experience was fantastic :) we lucked out with a last minute couple's massage availability and also got to take advantage of the hydrotherapy garden before and after our massage. seeing that it's surrounded by guestroom balconies i thought the hydrotherapy garden would feel a lack of privacy or feel intrusive but there was rarely anyone hanging out on their hotel room balcony while we were there and thank god no screaming children around either... it's an adults only spa. the teens have their own separate facility. the hydrotherapy garden had 3 spa pools at varying temperature, 1 cold plunge, and different outdoor showers. enough lounge chairs but it did start to get crowded mid-afternoon. it's beautifully landscaped, surrounded by palm trees and plants, truly a tropical oasis. i think photos don't do this place justice :) i haven't steam roomed and sauna'ed since pre-covid and this was such an incredible treat. overall it was a wonderful journey but a few things could be improved with the quality of massage itself (we got the signature lomi lomi 50) and the light fare / refreshments (whole fruits, small cookies, mini bottle water and juices). gratuity is auto included. 4 hour parking validation for non-aulani guests. mahalo to the laniwai team.

Yelp
I make it a point to come here every time we visit our DVC timeshare at Disney Aulani. I would say I have been about 3 or 4 times now- the reason I share this is CONSISTENCY!! The last time being January of 2020 right before COVID hit so I can not comment on how things have been impacted in the pandemic, however, EVERY single time, every single person, in every single capacity is ALWAYS on pointe! I love the outdoor showers and loungers, it's so tropical and lush, mixing my own salts, picking a stone felt cheesy at first but ended up really resonating with me.... everything is so clean, so lovely. Also, after being with my kids 24/7 it's literally heaven on earth for so many reasons! But hey next year they are all old enough for kids club!! If you are staying at Aulani, go get a massage and relax you deserve it! Lani wai is better than the surrounding spas and it's on property!!

Yelp
Laniwai Spa is amazing. Some tips: -order food 1st if you're there after 11am. It takes 30-45 mins for the food to come. Gratuity is included as well as a delivery fee. Added like $8 to a $23 sandwich. Total was like $30+! -you can order hot tea from anyone anytime...Jasmine, Lychee, or Hibiscus. -you can ask them to reheat your neckpad when relaxing in the relaxation room. -you can only enter once, no re-entry so bring a battery for your phone if staying long. -Gratuity is added automatically and DVC gets a special massage. It's open til 7pm. Wish we could stay longer but the kids got restless at Aunty's and they called.

Yelp
I am writing this review purely as a Laniwai Spa walk in at the Aulani. My friend suggested we check it out as something to do while at the resort. Not easy to find, but as soon as we entered we were asked if we had an appointment. No, we wondered if we could get a tour. The response was, no we have someone in there. That was it! Nothing else. I felt like we were a HUGE inconvenience for the three receptionists with nothing to do and not another soul around. I asked if they had a menu of services and literally was gestured to a QR code on the counter. I swear. This is the truth! Not any type of customer service whatsoever. If this is how you're greeted, can't imagine a relaxing experience. We did end up booking a wonderful spa day, but not here!

Yelp
A transformative experience. Absolutely loved my time at the Laniwai Spa. It was exactly what this mom needed, and in the middle of a busy and fun vacation. I loved it so much, we scheduled my husband for a massage and he, too, had an incredible experience. It was exactly what I needed to unplug, relax and recharge, so some self reflecting to step back into my role as a wife and mother with the best foot forward. I mean it when I say this experience was transformative. We will continue to go back for services any time we are in the area, and will book facials as well.

Yelp
I did an overnight stay at Aulani and my wife treated me to a massage for Valentine's Day! I spent about 45 minutes outside in the Kulawai, which was very relaxing, then took a nice shower and shave, then it was time for my treatment. My therapist, Eric, worked on my jacked up neck, back and sciatica, and he did an awesome job! He worked on it yesterday and my muscles are still sore today. He went deep deep tissue and I love it! Super nice guy and very professional! Thank you dear for such an awesome Valentine's Day stay!

Yelp
Wow! Amazing! Wish I could afford this kind of pampering every month! Laniwai Spa was truly a magical experience to rejuvenate one's mind, body, and soul. On Memorial Day, it was also about taking a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Disney's first ever Spa was definitely a great place for some much needed meditation to escape from the fast-paced daily grind in town. It was a quiet lovely space, even a stone's throw away from the typical Disney fun, to just close your eyes to find peace and harmony. The nice feature about Laniwai Spa is that it offers co-ed facilities! So, I ended up booking the HoniHoni ("Sealed with a kiss") Couples Massage over the phone. As the appointment date got closer, I received several email reminders to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to our scheduled treatment time with swimwear on. Why so early? Guests who book a full-service treatment are also able to take advantage of the outdoor hydrotherapy garden called "Kula Wai", which was complimentary - no additional fees! Kula Wai was such a wonderful pre-spa experience! Outside, the co-ed hydrotherapy garden consisted of heated soaking tubs, a rain shower circuit, heated whirlpool, and a cold plunge strategically spaced among the palm trees, plumeria, cabanas and fountains. Your spa attendant will also prepare a cup of blended Hawaiian exfoliation to take home. Inside, the non co-ed complimentary amenities included a eucalyptus steam room and dry cedar wood sauna. Inside the co-ed relaxation room, you have access to tea, fruit infused water, and healthy snacks like delicious oatmeal raisin cookies and banana bread muffins. You will want to spend some time at Kyla Wai before and after your treatment, so plan accordingly. My +1 hardly ever gets to enjoy spa services like this and he loved it! The Couples Massage was incredible! Disney has done it again - "happiest place on earth" right here. This moment! Our female masseuse's were fantastic. The massage oils and body butters were Hawaiian scents like pikake, mango, Professional, friendly, strong, and just amazing. The massage table was most wonderful. Heated and adjustable, especially when we had to lay on our back. My head and feet were automatically elevated to a comfortable position and my masseuse continued with the treatment. Ugh. I didn't want it to end! This is the life!! Service was 5-star outstanding all around. Every member of the staff always took notice of my presence and always offered assistance or a warm greeting. Book an appointment. You won't regret it! P.S. The robe and slippers were so comfy! Loved the slippahs so much I ended up buying a pair at the shop in the front lobby. :-)

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to try the spa at the Aulani resort and we were not disappointed. We got the couples massage, it was expensive, $185 each, but we were able to go an hour early and enjoy the garden area and relax before our massage. After the massage we were able to use the steam room and the sauna. They have a room that has massage chairs and you can take a shower before you leave. There are secure lockers you can put your things in and everything was very clean. Next time we go to the Aulani resort we will definitely be going again.

Yelp
This place is really expensive but if you want to splurge and treat yourself or a loved one, I really think it's worth the money. The place is huge and there are so many amenities. I loved every minute and the massage and body scrub was the best of my life. My only complaint is that for the high price they should validate your parking for the entire day and let people make a whole day experience at the resort. I would have liked to spend some more time in the spa itself, in the various pools, and maybe even go out to the lagoon beach afterward for some sun, but my friend and I had planned dinner at Aulani after our massages and there wasn't enough time. (Dinner was great too!)

Yelp
My yearly birthday getaway..thanks to my daughter. A little piece of heaven in this crazy world!! My recommendation would be to book your service for late afternoon, so you can enjoy and experience the whole garden. Upon entering you are greeted and asked to close your eyes and pick a stone that is inscribed with a Hawaiian word. This is your "focus stone", past 2 years I had ikaika (strength)..this year I got hau'oli (happiness)..this brings me back yearly to see what's to come. Then you are asked to toss it into the water pond and watch the reflection of light on the walls. You are given a full size locker with slippers and a plush robe. Various temperature hot tubes, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, various outdoor shower, padded lounge chairs, cabanas, coed relaxation room, lady's relaxation room, mens lockers & showers, woman lockers & showers, vanity area, various water & fruit mixes. Piped in music even chirping birds!! Aulani definitely exceeds Disneyland expectations. I had the lomilomi massage..melted away....nothing more to say!! I make it an ALL day " ME" day..6 plus hours...yearly rejuvenation. Downside: Validation is only 4 hours unless u park in the lagoons and watch the sunset

Yelp
Loved this spa! The service provided was exceptional! From check in till check out! It started with a guided tour of the facilities along with a homemade scrub! Your given a locker along with a robe and slipper. The spa is clean, well organized, lots of amenities! Staff friendly and very courteous. Did I mention every flavor of infused flavor and tea! Outstanding! They walk around passing it out and checking if you require or need anything! Great treat it felt like I was on vacation with the lush grounds! Loved it and recommend it highl

Yelp
It's not what it used to be. Due to the spa's COVID protocols you're not able to take advantage of most of the amenities. They only allow you in an hour in advance and between the tour, time to change, and calling you in for your service you might get 15 minutes in the relaxation garden. After your service you are allowed to shower and leave. Again, no taking advantage of the garden. The relaxation garden was the whole reason I booked, I wanted N hour to myself to unwind. It was a very disappointing experience. As for the service, I booked a prenatal massage. I would not book it again. The masseuse wanted to chat the whole time, and didn't let me choose a scent or pick the music. I found the music and chatter pretty distracting and the scent used for my service was not my cup of tea. Also, the massage was not very good, I've had way better massages at this spa. Between the bad massage experience and the feeling of being rushed every second I was in the facility did not lend to a particularly relaxing experience, and for the cost (which was super high - more than $300 for a massage) I do expect to leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I suggest waiting for things to go back to normal before hitting up this spa. That said, up until my last visit I regularly got treatments, every vacation, and always felt it was worth it.

Yelp
This is the third time I've been in this Spa. We do this each time we stay at the Disney Aulani--- a not -to -be-missed experience. Starts with all the scents of peace and relaxation with spa music. A lovely woman with relaxing voice greets you and introduces you to all the amenities-- relaxation room with massage chairs locker rooms and showers. Before the pandemic there were snacks and sauna, not at this time. I had the the lomilomi massage. Used to do this with my daughter in same room. but again due to covid restrictions. It has to be done separately, with mask worn the whole time. It was just as magical and lovely! Would love to have spent the whole day here...

Yelp
I had a 50 min Lomilomi massage W/ Sean and it was amazing! I was so relaxed and then I got to enjoy the amenities including sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and cold plunge. The spa has a new smoothie menu and also a food menu to order off of if your hungry. We ordered both the strawberry colada smoothie and chocolate banana with protein, recovery and immunity boosts!! Delicious. I spent some time in the relaxation room with fresh fruit offerings and pineapple infused water. I got some bath salts and sugar scrub to take home with me along with some awesome memories! This was a great experience and my spa attendants Kathryn and Yasuko were just lovely!! I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Wow this spa is worthy the (very steep) price tag! The price of your service includes the tip/tax so for a 50 min massage I paid 250 :0 but it's probably The only time I'll be in Hawaii so why not. You're told to arrive an hour ahead of time to enjoy the facility - def do this it adds to the worth of your service price. I walked in and paid, was greeted by a kind staff member and was given pineapple water. They took me on a lovely tour of the facilities which included a women's bathroom which had a changing room, shower, steam, sauna, lockers, robes, spa shoes, iced tea and water as well as a women's only relaxation room. There is also a co we relation room as well as a coed outdoor area which is so tranquil. There are relaxation baths as well as a large outdoor shower with different shower heads to "represent the different types of rain in Hawaii" there is also a hot tub and cold plunge pool. As I relaxed in a cabana feeling zen, a staff member asked if I wanted a smoothie. It cost extra but was so delish! I recommend the pina colada smoothie wow so good. The massage was amazing. You can choose between 4 lotions and 4 types of music. Massage was heaven!!! So good!!! Pros Amazing facility They will validate parking for 4 hours - lots of parking! Sauna and steam Lots of free spa water Great massage Totally relaxing experience Great staff - definitely the friendly Disney staff I love! Cons Very expensive, but you get what you pay for

Yelp
Lockers at spa are not secure. Left Chanel sunglasses, airpod max, book and glasses unattended on a chair as I showered really quick. We were last ones at the spa using amenities. Phone was in my locker. Everything missing after less than 10 minute shower. Even my phone in my locker was missing. Completely cleared all our lockers out (mine, my sisters, my mom). They were all open and completely empty. Asked staff if they found anything or if anyone picked anything up. They said no, we are the last guests and no one else is here. All my work is on my phone so only when I started panicking to the front they told us to go back in the lockers and check. I was confused because I kept telling them we completely emptied the lockers? They insist we check. like literally insisted 3 times. So we go again and they open the lockers. All my things are in not my locker, but my mom's. All our jaws drop because we were just staring at all three of those lockers side by side absolutely emptied out. What's weird is I specifically put my phone in my locker, and the other things were sitting out on a chair. But they all conveniently ended up in my mom's locker together in the same place after we all left the locker room? this felt very shady so we tried to explain to a staff member someone tried to steal it and then put it back when we left. at this point i feel deeply anxious because it makes absolutely no sense all my stuff is together and in a different locker after emptying everything out. the staff member says to calm down because there are other guests around. i thought you just said we are the last guests? something shady happened and all the staff were in on it because i'm sure they're all friends that go out for drinks after work. i feel completely gas lighted and don't appreciate how poorly the staff handled this as i was having a nervous breakdown. aside from the weird event of my things showing up together in a different locker (obviously planted there once they saw i was having a panic attack and understood the severity of the situation), the service was poor and felt like they were minimizing what i was going through. Spent $900 today on this experience and sad this happened. Moral of the story, don't bring anything valuable or dear to you.

Yelp
There are not enough words to describe what an amazing experience I've had each time I've been here. The first time the masseur I had was Jason and he was great-- very warm and welcoming and catered the massage to my needs. The masseur I had today was Matthew and he was equally amazing. I am so grateful for his massage and his craft he shared w me. I plan on coming back and treating myself to a 90min massage on my next visit. This spa is expensive but worth every cent in my opinion. Mahalo for the hospitality and a hui hou!

Yelp
My favorite me-time pastime is getting massages, and I am so glad I finally found my go-to spa. Yes, it is Aulani...so of course prices are pretty up there. BUT, worth EVERY penny! Most massage treatments are in the high 100s to 200s, however, you get to hang out and use their amenities for as long as you want! Whether it be before or after your spa treatment. Some of the things you get to enjoy with no extra charge are a number of pools (including a hot tub and cold water plunge), outdoor showers representing different waterfall/rain in Hawaii, lounges where you get offered heated neck pillows and delicious snacks, sauna and steam room, and free body scrubs (my fave being pikake). What I also love about Laniwai Spa is the exceptional customer service. The staff are extremely nice, professional, and does everything to make sure your experience is a relaxing one.
