Lanserhof LANS

"The Lanserhof concept, developed over 35 years ago, is grounded in the fasting cure—the idea that the body can be regenerated through detoxification, purification, and de-acidification. At Lanserhof’s Lans location in Tyrol, the heart of the Swiss Alps, the staff offers therapeutic methods of state-of-the-art medicine combined with holistic naturopathy. The goal is to customize treatments to maximize each individual’s powers of self-healing, and the setting is contemporary and minimal, with a palate of earthy tones and floor-to-ceiling windows that invite inside the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Optional activities include medicinal herb hikes, where guests can learn about local medicinal plants, and visits to a Kneipp facility in the midst of the forest. Lanserhof programs run from one to two weeks." - Caitlin Gunther

I have been coming to the Lanserhof in Lans for many, many years now — it has always been my little haven for rest and recovery. The place itself remains as wonderful as ever. The atmosphere is calm, the Theba area is simply lovely, and the sauna is still one of my absolute favourites. The massages were, as always, excellent — such a professional and caring team. The clinic downstairs, with its reception and the secretariat, deserves a special mention too. The ladies there are always so kind and accommodating — they truly make you feel looked after. However, I must say that since the arrival of the new hotel manager, something feels a little different. One gets the impression that he is still rather unsure of himself and that the way he interacts with the staff could be gentler. It’s noticeable, and it slightly affects the otherwise harmonious atmosphere of the house. I do hope this will be addressed in the future, as everything else about Lanserhof remains as wonderful as it has always been. I still look forward to my next visit — it remains a very special place for body and soul.

Went here for a one week detox stay with my wife in mid April. Dr. Gatt and all the staff are super attentive and helpful. In terms of detox food, although very basic as per the Lanserhof method, I found the food to be quite tasty. But that’s just me. I especially enjoyed the physiotherapist here. He is very knowledgeable and helped identify the root cause of my chronic leg problem after years of misdiagnoses. Treatment-wise, the craniosacral therapy was my favorite, followed by the -110c cryo therapy. The massages were a bit disappointing, but then again we are spoiled, coming from Thailand. One thing that needs improving is the nurses’ needle inserting skill for IV drips. They bruised both my arms, which has never happened before ever.

Lanserhof is a pro at what it does. The setting is sublime and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. I had some of the best treatments of any spa I have visited anywhere in the world. The service is excellent and with the recent renovations and extensions it really has to be seen to be believed. I'm really glad I visited in June as the weather was amazing and the outdoor pool was a perfect place to relax! Be careful how many treatments they sign you up to but I will definitely return here!

I have been a loyal guest of Lanserhof Lans for the last 15 years and I used to love it, it was my haven for recovery. It no longer is, and I will not return after this year's stay, mainly because of a severe decline in medical support, one of the key hallmarks of Lanserhof in the past. Doctors seem under pressure, don't have time to prepare consultations, make ambiguous and contradicting statements and don't communicate among themselves any more. I used to feel like a real patient for whom the doctors truly cared, I now feel like an anonymous number (and also like an open-tab credit card on legs, that must also be mentioned). Friendliness and good vibes have declined throughout the place. Lanserhof has lost its focus, vision and aura for the sake of profit maximisation. Time to find another haven.

Our 10 days stay was indeed a full rejuvenation, highly recommended for any age any time. They were a bit understaffed, and it showed on the admin side. The medical services were top notch, the diet , excellent. The place has been renovated in 2017 and it looks just amazing especially the re-done spa area with its heated outside pool. Well done

Lanserhof has sadly deteriorated from the old days when it was very rigorous, but truly concerned with restoring their clients to optimal health. ||It has also become fabulously expensive - which is their right - but there is no warning to the unfortunate client about what to expect. I was quoted a price of E1,450 for the medical package - and my actual bill came to move like E6,000, even before the room charge. ||The basic diet and treatment is quite useful, but the constant attempt to sell hugely overpriced "natural" vitamins and health aides is outrageous. Basic mineral you can purchase in the pharmacy for 2-3Euros are sold for 50. Five years ago - it was very different.

Went there for a 2 week health revamp and regretted it. I am a keen health resort goer and been to a lot; Lancerhof is definitely the worse I attended. Even though the building is great, the people were very rigid and did not understand the value I was looking for. The gym lacked facilities and the Managment did not understand that I was paying 120 Euros plus per night. They starve you claiming that it is a cleansing ideology, however they ended up messing up my metabolism and I gained so much weight after as a consequence. Room service was horrible and the cleaning was unacceptable. Wish I could get my money back or left the property at the time but other places required bookings way in advance so I couldn't do that unfortunately. The Managment is just interested in maximising their income while spending the minimum.

went to lanserhof for two weeks in april 2014. I was 19 and half stone unfit and unwell. came back after intensive detox and treatments and re-education of my body and mind at 16 stone and fit. wife loved it and I felt good for the first time in many years. worth the money, everyone should do this once a year. be careful about prices of treatments you don't really need.
