The Lanserhof concept is a wellness hotel masquerading as a medical retreat. The medical aspect is not only lacking but full of falsehoods/unscientific things.
This retreat is NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
More detail below
1) I went with a medical issue - I knew there was something wrong with my gut however the doctor was not knowledgeable, refused to refer me to a gastroenterologist, and came with an unconvincing answer at the end of the retreat which I now need to get a second opinion on with my doctor at home.
2) The place sells multiple scientifically debunked & questionable things: craniosacral therapy, foot detox, and food sensitivity tests.
3) They tell you scientifically incorrect things like "drinking while eating is bad for your digestion"
There is no doubt the people are very nice (hence 2 stars), they have great (but excruciatingly expensive) physios, personal trainers, and masseuses but it all does not make up for the price. A massage costs ~250 euros for 50 minutes. The only reason to pay that price is if the medical side makes up for it. It doesn't. Find an alternative.
