Beautiful place, the cottages are sweet but the bed wasn’t too great, everything else was wonderful! The cottages are fully equipped to cook your own meals. I think the hot tub rule is a bit much $75 for 1 hour is a bit expensive!! It’s only free certain days during the week then you have to pay to use it on Fri, sat and sun. We would stay here again though!

This property is tucked away down a beautiful wooded drive. We looked at many accommodations in Ingonish, and this, in our opinion, was the best.|Check in was very simple, the large sign on the road made it easy to navigate to late at night when we arrived. The grounds here are beautiful. Gorgeous Fall colors, flowers, a nice clean pond, and mostly easy access to an amazing view of the North Bay. We really enjoyed the crashing waves and could have sat on the beach all day! The room we were in at the lodge was much larger than we expected, extremely clean and comfortable. After a long day of travel, the sound of the ocean and the fresh sea breeze though our open window gave us the best night sleep we can remember. The coffee bar, fireplace and spacious bathroom all added to a very comfortable stay. I wish we would have known how beautiful this Inn was and would have stayed another day. Great little restaurants and shops within minutes. Lantern Hill & Hollow will most definitely be on our list on the next visit to Cape Breton!

We stayed in the main house on the hilltop in the Great Room. Friends stayed in the room next door, the Peony Rose room. It was a little odd in that when we arrived there was no one there -- we just went inside and noted that the rooms had a little sign on the door with our last name and a key left inside. I wish we had understood that that was the case because we felt strange just going inside without someone showing us our room. All that aside, our Great Room was very nice, comfortable beds, and we had a wonderful large roofed deck. There was a gas fireplace, too, but given the warm weather we didn't use it. The facility is right on the water so a stroll on the beach is easy. Also, the landscaping was beautiful -- so well designed and maintained -- it was a pleasure to just look at it all! To get fresh towels and to have our room made up we just needed to put a basket outside the door with our used towels and hang a sign on our door asking for room service. It all went well. It is a lovely place to stay on Cape Breton.

The location and the setting are amazing! |It's actually tight on the Cabot Trail inside Cape Breton National Park. It's hard not to just want to sit on the porch of your cabin and just watch and listen to the roiling North Atlantic Ocean. The cabins are extremely comfortable and functional.

The location is perfect! Has a small private beach on a long stretch of nice sandy beach. It was the perfect place for a family vacation. The service was amazing and very accommodating of requests. The rooms weren’t quite as modern as I would have guessed from the pictures, but very clean and well kept. Would highly recommend staying here - especially if traveling with kids

Stayed 2 nights. First night in a room in the main building, which was very nice and modern. Spotless clean and very comfortable bed. Only comment is that there was not even a chair to sit on in the room. There was a balcony but with all the bugs one cannot sit there . |Next night we had one of the chalets , that is for disabled people. The chalet was nice, clean and comfortable. With great kitchen diner, and BBQ on the patio. but the shower room needs updating. The location is perfect with access to the beach. Very peaceful and romantic. Great place for families for longer holiday .

A fantastic place in a superb location! This made a wonderful stop for us in the Cabot Trail and it is right on the beach. We stayed in a cottage and the only negative was the lack of anyone there on our arrival. We tried phoning the number at the reception area but it went to voicemail……which was full! Luckily we drove down to the cottages and found our name on the door of one of them. The cottage was excellent - loads of space and great amenities. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night! We brought food for dinner so don’t know what local restaurants are like.|Like other reviewers, don’t follow Sat nav to find it - look for the sign!

Delightful inn. Set back from a major road, up on a hill overlooking the ocean. Our room was very spacious with a wonderful view of woods and ocean. We could even enjoy a gorgeous sunrise from our bed, which was super comfortable. The bathroom offered all of the amenities we needed, and there were a sufficient number of outlets from charging phones, etc. | There was a nice sitting area and fridge. We never met the owners or front desk staff, which was a little strange. But check in and departure were uneventful.

Yelp
Stayed 1 night in the Oceana room and wish we stayed longer. The bed is sooo comfortable. The decor is relaxing & listening to the ocean at night, sitting on the balcony was heaven.

Yelp
A one bedroom cottage about 800 Sq feet. With a corner jet tub and in the off season for 135 a night get the moonbeamer cottage. Two days of pure luxury right on the beach. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach from your living room. I fell in love with this place. It was bigger then my home and it came with beach front what else could anyone expect for 135 a night. Off season. A perfect vacation. They only have one moonbeamer so reserve it. The rest are all family units cost more have an extra bedroom minus the Jacuzzi.
