Lanterne Rooms

We made an early 6pm booking and it was the first time coming to Lanterne Rooms. The service was outstanding, the attention was very careful and considered, with the food & drink being amazing! We started with a Cicada Negroni and a Martinez cocktail. There was a special offer for foods, however we ordered two small dishes and shared a main. Hokkaido Scallops were so fresh and tasty!! The Seafood Wontons in Adsam broth was so fresh and delicious!! Sharing the Char grilled chicken satay with rice was great. It was approximately 7/8 nice slices of seasoned chicken and it was so tasty. Thank you to all the staff. So great at their jobs, which really added to the whole experience! Thank you again and we look forward to the next visit 😊

Fantastic restaurant with great menu and very good service. We have chosen the set menu which was well put together, great dishes that gave a variety and different tastes.. The Tom Yum infused prawns are a great first dish that stays with you for a while. Light but full of flavour. The Shanghai rice noodles were also quite a surprise with a texture of noodles quite different to anything we had before. Great restaurant, a must visit when you are in Canberra.

Definitely an asian fussion fine dining hidden gem🤩 the ambience and the service was top notch! Very friendly staff and accomodating. Food was great for asian people tounge and i can say their food is match with my taste!! The duck is the mvp, but their beef angus rendang also yum, i can say its almost perfect for a gues from indonesia like me who familiar with rendang. Dont forget to order their ngohiang as well.

Excellent restaurant with fresh tasting food and friendly service. We tried the $58pp offer and it was beautiful Tom Yum infused prawns - very tasty and fresh, beef tending (my favourite), satay chicken and more. Good portions, tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant spacing is excellent - not crammed and we noticed that there is acoustic foam under the tables which is great for the ambient sound. Service is attentive but not overly which is the way I like it. Highly recommended.

We were there for small gatherings, private rooms can fit up to 16 people. Asian fusion food served, plenty options for alcohol and non-alcohol drinks. Waiters were professional and polite. Note: Beef dish can be spicy.

The interior design of the restaurant was beautiful! I appreciated that when I mentioned having a toddler with us, they quickly brought steam rice to keep her entertained while we were still looking at the menu, definitely helped avoid any crankiness while waiting for our meal. Although the food was fine by Canberra standards, as a Hongkongese, I didn’t find it particularly impressive, and we all felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality. To add to the experience, we all ended up feeling quite thirsty after the meal, which was a little disappointing.

My friend invited us for the proposal party. We went early to decorate the private room. The food is amazing and they could do BYO. Highly recommend.
