Lanthia Resort (Santa Maria Navarrese, Sardinia) 1 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Tourism may be what’s booming in Sardinia now, but it’s a relatively recent development, at least compared to continental Italy. This island still feels wild in ways the mainland has long forgotten, and for hoteliers, this rapidly expanding audience is an excuse to write a new history. Lanthia Resort, on the island’s east coast (midway between Olbia and Cagliari airports), makes the most of this wildness. In so stunning a place, the toughest challenge might just be to stay out of the way and let the locale speak for itself — and that’s exactly what Lanthia has done." - Tablet Hotels

Can’t even put into words how amazing this resort is—it feels like stepping into a Pinterest-worthy boutique hotel. We were warmly welcomed with drinks and a detailed introduction to everything the property offers: vineyard tours, a private beach, a private terrace with breathtaking ocean views, massages, and more. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the staff incredibly friendly, and both breakfast and dinner absolutely delicious. All in all, this has been by far the best resort experience we’ve had in Sardinia.

This hotel must be working its way to a 5 star, we are pleased with the accommodation and greeting we received.|Upon arrival they assisted us with luggage, offered us a refreshing drink and an explanation of the premises. The room is small however we have a terrace and the bathroom is spacious and modern. EU standard plugs 🔌 no need for adaptors. There is no coffee machine inside the room but this does not matter truly, in the overall picture. Vanity utility set is provided and refreshed daily. In the room a welcome bottle and a hand written note and fruit. First round of frigo drinks are offered too-very thoughtful feature. A basket with beach towels is provided. Perfect detail attention. Hotel is clean and modern, elegant scenery and vegetation with easy access to the private beach and pine tree relaxing area. Many different lounge spaces and attentive, professional staff, you can order drinks and food via whatsapp. Drinks are served with varied snacks. There is an issue with wasps, but this is common and unavoidable in this region no matter where you go if you eat outside. |The breakfast: this must be noted as the most elaborate superb breakfast we have ever seen. There is an incredible variety of regional products. The quality of the food is unmatched. The lunch menu is also healthy and fresh. We love it!! ⭐️🤩|The dinner however… we report it is not as varied. The choices are not many and they are also rather special, we would have liked to have at least a choice of “basic” dishes like spaghetti vongole or steak within the menu.|Or an incorporation of some lunch salads that fit a long warm day at the beach.|The terrace in the rooms could use a more “mood” light rather than the standard industry illumination.|This is personal to our taste. |Overall, we are very pleased with this choice of hotel! Thank you!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were very unimpressed due to the price we paid. The level of service, food, amenities, and overall accommodations does not meet the criteria of a 4-star hotel and its nightly rate. The waiter who does mornings was especially notable for our lower rating — he was cold and unaccommodating, making us feel as though we were a nuisance. Be wary that all the plated “American” breakfast they advertise on Instagram is an extra fee and not included, as well. The pool area is quite dilapidated, and the beach “club” was average. There is no sort of attendant or notable food choices either. Even the well-remarked dinner was mediocre. We chose to eat elsewhere every other night of our stay. It is pretty much the only “upscale” hotel in the area, which is why I believe the rate is able to be set so high. Overall, it is clean, safe, and set on beautiful grounds but simply did not meet 4star/$650+ (USD) a night service/amenity expectations.

This was a nice hotel in lovely grounds but this hotel had no tea/coffee facilities at all in the room. They also had a strange system for guests arriving, you had to drive down a single lane gravel road which ended before you reach reception. You then unload your cases and then had to reverse all the way back down the drive to the carpark. I am not sure what would have happened if someone else had arrived at the same time. When we were leaving, we decided not to bother repeating the process but that meant dragging the cases over the gravel part of the drive which was quite difficult as the wheels dug into the gravel. We had dinner at the beach bar; dinner is not served at the main hotel for some reason. The portions were ridiculously small, especially for the cost, and there were no sides listed on the menu. We assumed that something else would come with the main course. We receive a piece of fish about 1 x 4 inches a sliver of some vegetable which might have been artichoke and an inch long dob of something else. When I mention the size of the dinner and said that I had expected something else to come with it I was told that we could have ordered sides. I pointed out that there were no sides on the menu and was told that was an oversite and they would add them for the future, which was not much use to us! We did order a dessert which on receiving the bill we were told we would not have to pay for and we were thanked for our comments. It was a good stay and a pleasant hotel.

This was a magical resort!! The rooms were comfortable, atmosphere was divine, and the staff were some of the best people we came across on our trip to Sardegna. Everyone we got the pleasure to meet there was friendly and made us feel like family - especially Simone Orru! I cannot say enough how lucky Lanthia is to have him on staff, he is truly a gem. ||The private beach, pool, and hotel restaurant are also highlights in the area and helped create some of our most memorable moments. If you are looking for somewhere to stay close to the Baunei coast - this is the place!

We stayed at Lanthia Resort for four nights and truly wished we could have stayed longer. In fact, we were really sad when it was time to leave. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful – the architecture, the lush gardens, the inviting pool, and the wonderful pine forest with hammocks and lounges made it a dreamlike place to relax. The private beach is equally stunning, with loungers, SUP boards and snorkeling equipment available. You can swim for long distances in the crystal-clear water – there’s always something to do. The staff is super friendly and chill and we were very happy with the kind service!!!! Massage in the pinewood cabana was also incredible. Breakfast was fantastic, with a very fresh and delicious buffet, fresh juices, delicious pastries plus many à la carte options to order. The only small downside was that some special dishes came with an extra charge (something we found a little unnecessary considering the hotel category and price) but it was by no means a big issue. Our room was lovely, with a small private garden, which we really enjoyed. Just a note for future guests: be mindful when booking the smallest room category, as those are indeed very small (we just booked the cheapest option without reading into it and discovered upon arrival that the room was too small for us). We upgraded and were much happier afterwards. Another highlight is the unique location: Santa Maria Navarrese is the sweetest village with charming restaurants, great gelato, and direct access to nature. 1.5 km away from the hotel starts the breathtaking Pedralonga trail – perfect for a morning trail run or walk with stunning views. At the harbor, you can easily rent boats to explore the wild Costa de Baunei. For us, taking a boat out for two days to discover hidden beaches was the absolute highlight of our entire trip, simply unforgettable. All in all, we were extremely happy and satisfied with our stay. This resort is truly special, and we are certain we will return one day and will recommend it to all of our friends!!! Many thanks to the entire Lanthia team for making our stay so memorable!

Beautiful resort on the amazing Baunei coast. My family and I stayed here last weekend and it was amazing. The service was impeccable. The grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to experience this coast in Sardinia.

Beware the WASPS!! This hotel is overrun with wasps and mosquitos. It’s impossible to enjoy the premises without being devoured. The grounds, while otherwise lovely, simply can’t be used at any time of the day or evening. And the interiors of the rooms and main building are poorly designed and boring. They have all of the charm of your standard Hilton Garden Inn. The beach is lovely. But the food is poor and some of the wines appear to have been improperly stored. Even at half the price it’s not worth it.
