Antica pizzeria da Michele Roma Monte Grappa

Surprised by this restaurant. It’s inside a children’s museum so you’d think it’s a tourist trap but all the contrary. The food is incredible, the sauce of the pizza is delicious , the aubergine is cooked to perfection and even the 3 chocolate desert is on the spot!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at L’antica Pizzeria da Michele, and it was a fantastic experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness, setting the perfect tone for the meal. The service was great—attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The highlight, of course, was the pizza. Each bite was a perfect blend of fresh ingredients, a crisp yet tender crust, and rich, flavourful toppings that showcased authentic craftsmanship. The ambience of the pizzeria added to the charm, creating a cosy, welcoming environment ideal for both casual lunches and special dinners. I highly recommend L’antica Pizzeria da Michele to anyone craving genuinely delicious pizza with top-notch service. It’s a culinary gem that I’ll definitely return to!

Although it's a pizza chain, it's the best pizza I had in Rome. Pizzas are big (see attached picture) and they don't skimp on ingredients. Pizza Parmigiana was outstanding.

Food was DELICIOUS, service was ok, definitely more a local place but that’s what’s fun about it. As a tourist from Canada in a restaurant not really for tourists I understand that we are low priority but we were served last even though locals came in after us, honestly I think it’s just the language barrier, not mad at all if you are a tourist definitely still come here just expect a little bit of a longer wait time. Portions were huge and the beer was awesome, Thank you we really enjoyed the place.

The traditional Neapolitan style pizzas are very good. The location is so so. Two large rooms, one of which a sort of glass pavilion. The atmosphere is nothing to write home and the decor somewhat spartan but good for groups and also children. This said their pizza is good and this is the point that matters here...

Not much in common with the OG. Even a year ago (at Children’s Museum) was better. Corniccio basically absent, “mozzarella “ tasted just like the one from an American supermarket, sauce was def NOT San Marzano. Huge disappointment Pizza on the photo was actually the one made best

Great food, wine and atmosphere. The fact that it is attached to a children’s museum is a decoy! If Julie Roberts likes this place it must be good!

This place is phenomenal! We had the best meal of our whole stay in Rome while we were here. Per suggestion by our waiter, we ordered the pizza napolitana and the don Luigi appetizer. Both were absolutely delicious. The tomato sauce on the pizza honestly blew my mind (I didn’t know sauce on a pizza could do that!). 20/10 recommend this place for anyone in the area and wanting amazing pizza!
