Amazing little bakery in downtown Rome, located right next to just the Trevi Fountain. It’s usually extremely crowded and if you don’t feel like waiting for a table, just skip the line like I did and grab something to go. I went for their famous Pistachio Croissant and it did not disappoint. Golden, flaky layers filled generously with rich, velvety pistachio cream. Buttery, airy, and absolutely delicious. An easy 10/10. Ideal spot for a quick coffee and pastry break while exploring the city. Highly recommended for pastry lovers.🥐

Google
Best pistachio croissant I’ve ever had. (Other croissants are pretty mid so I recommend only on this one) You can’t make a reservation so it’s only waiting for a table - can take between 15-40mins (if you don’t wanna wait you can take out a croissant from their bakery) It’s really nice to seat outside and look at the street view near the Trevi fountain. Coffee was good. But everything takes a pretty long time because there are many people all the time.

Google
I believe this was the best pistachio croissant I’ve ever had. Full of pistachio cream and delicious. It was very busy but the lady behind the counter was kind and helpful. Great selection of sweet treats and cheese!

Google
Actually really disappointed with this place after trying it. Seen it hyped all over online and was one of the only places in Italy that wasn’t worth the hype. The que was long - ordered two flat whites but ended up getting cappuccinos that just tasted like milk. The pistachio croissants - lots of pistachio cream but the pastry was dry and lemony. Disappointing as I’ve had better from a supermarket but they did look aesthetically pleasing.

Google
The coffee and the pistachio cornetto were absolutely delicious and the croissant is generously filled with pistachio cream. As it was expected due to its location, it was extremely crowded and one should wait ~15’ in the line to get a table. The take away orders were also taking quite a bit of time. I believe, it worths the visit.

Every morning during our stay in Rome, we made this café our first stop! The pistachio and chocolate croissants were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was always spot on. The best part was enjoying our breakfast with a perfect view of the Trevi Fountain and the great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Rome!

Google
Went of course for the viral pistachio crescents. They were absolutely de lupus and super cheap. So worth it and no line. I immediately went outside and there was an open table for view of the Trev’s fountain. It was absolutely perfect and a great way to shed the fat and enjoy a pastry. Defs recommend

Google
The best croissant I,ve ever had! If you stay it’s 4€. If you take away it’s 3€. The cappuccino wasn’t wow, but I recommend this place for the delicious croissants!

Yelp
Ok so I understand that this is a very touristy place right now and for that alone I was reluctant to go BUT I found that it was well worth the hype under some certain conditions. The first is that you must be ready to wait in line or wake up early. The second is that you need to pair your food and drink wisely. Another review mentions that their chocolate croissant was too sweet and I have to agree that it is kind of over powering but if you get it with coffee and some water then it is enjoyable. The final and most major thing is where you sit. It is first come first serve and because of this you don't really have a choice in where you sit. I saw many people wait in a huge line only to end up in a very unideal spot where the Trevi wasn't even in view. Thankfully, I got seated in a very ideal location and it made the morning much more enjoyable.

Yelp
Porchetta sandwich was put in the oven, but came out completely cold. One of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. Chocolate croissant wasn't much better. The chocolate was to sweet and had a bad aftertaste and the croissant itself was dry. I wanted to try the maritozzo, but they didn't even have any.

Yelp
The fam woke up early to try to get to 'the fountain' (you know the one!) for some unencumbered pics (the night before there must've been a thousand people blocking the darn thing) and... a good 200 people were already here. (Including more than a few 'marriage shots' and 'fashion shots' at the crack of dawn.) Quick pivot for breakfast just a few feet down the alley found us here. Quaint (small) inside, a few tables outside (which is where we plopped down). Occasionally having married couples walk past us down the alleyway as their professional photographers snapped away. (It was a bit bizarre and fascinating.) And within a few minutes we had our absolute fave 'cornetto' for the entire vacation. (And trust me - when you're in Italy you'll definitely have more than your fair share for breakfast.) Fantastic cappuccino (don't you dare order one after 11am!) with the absolute best croissant (I know, a cornetto isn't a croissant, but c'mon already!) - bursting with pistachio cream-filling and sprinkled with crushed pistachio on top. Sheesh, I could go for one of those right about now. By the time we were ready to leave there was a line to get it, the door blocked by a red rope - giving me flashbacks to nightclubs in NYC decades ago.

Yelp
We targeted this spot from the get go near the Trevi fountain in Rome. We weren't sure whether to get 1 or 2 but it was early and we were just coming in from an early morning flight. We ordered one to account for other pastries but I will say this was the best croissant I've ever had! 5 stars for perfection. There isn't much more to say here. You want an amazing croissant; get this one from this spot and you won't regret it!

Yelp
This cafe is an absolute gem located adjacent to the Trevi Fountain. Of all the chocolate croissants I had during my time in Italy (and trust me, I've had a lot) this croissant was exponentially more delicious than any others- I don't know how they do it. The dough was perfectly flaky and the Nutella/chocolate combo was so delicious and gooey! The espresso was also incredible and paired together was perfecto! Enjoying the sweet breakfast in front of the trevi fountain was an unforgettable experience. If you're in Rome, you must try the chocolate croissants here!

Yelp
Always in a mood for croissants! Funny how we stumbled upon this cafe while at the Trevi Fountain and little did we know it was such a popular known spot! We were enjoying our breakfast, which BY THE WAY, was top notch we've never had such a soft croissant this light and flaky before the coffee was also very delicious we tried cafe freddo with milk , because why not, when in Rome right? this cafe is such a must and if you can get a seat where you overlook the fountain, then it's even better! The service is quick the place is so popular and gets crowded quickly and we even woke up at 5:00am to go to the fountain and get afterwards and we got the LAST table it was SOOOOOOOOO worth it!

Yelp
Cafe right next to Trevi Fountain. I would say this place was low key a tourist trap as there was such a long line to even order, and it took some time to wait for a table especially if you wanted to sit outdoors. It's a small cafe so naturally it gets crowded if you come during peak tourist season in Rome. Nonetheless, the croissants were still very good! Very nice and flaky and light, the pistachio and chocolate one were on the sweeter end, but it's nice to pair with an espresso drink unsweetened. I felt a bit rushed sitting an eating this but it was still cool to eat breakfast while literally looking at the Trevi fountain.

Yelp
I came here twice late morning like 10-11am and this area is busy with walking tourist but if you see a line don't be scared half the people are in line to take too go orders and some waiting for tables and the waiters will ask to see who is waiting for a table and get you it ready the croissants are soo good and I'm not a pistachio fan but that cream was so good and not overly sweet. The maritozo is like a pastry bread cut like a hot dog and filled with a whipped cream not super sweet but really good and fun to eat definitely a little messy but worth it.

Yelp
Upon coming to Rome, I was told I had to try the maretozzo- a traditional Roman pastry filled with cream. We came to this place based off of the good reviews and it's location so close to trevi fountain. We sat outside and enjoyed the free Wi-Fi. The wait staff was obviously rushed and did not seem to care to be friendly to us... could be an Italian thing! I did not like that their restroom was FILTHY and flooded with water, but I was forced to use it because in Rome you do not use a business's restroom without buying something. The pasty display was a bit of a turn off as we saw flies landing on the food, but we've eaten grosser things! The pasty did not disappoint. The brioche was incredibly moist, the cream was generously spread and just sweet enough. I wish I had gotten an espresso to go along with it. This is a good place to rest when near Trevi Fountain!

Yelp
Stopped in here for a quick breakfast. It's very close to the Trevi fountain, so you might pay a little more than other places but it was perfect for a quick bite after visiting the fountain early in the morning. We grabbed a table outside. It's perfect for people watching, as people zip by the busy corridor. The pistachio croissant was a delight. The cappuccino was perfect. The Maritozzi was the best we had on the trip. Maritozzi is a kind of bread filled with whipped cream. Very basic but this one was super soft, not overly sweet and just perfect to pair with a coffee. Glad we stumbled upon this little spot.

Yelp
Tiktok brought me here and it definitely was a disappointment. When we were seated, it took 20 minutes for the waiter to even hand us the menu despite us waiving them down. It took another 20 minutes for us to order and another 20 minutes to bring out a panini and croissant. We saw a lot of people leaving for this reason, however, felt bad so we ended up waiting. The croissant was extremely stale and had an artificial pistachio taste. The panini was decent, crunchy and had a good ham to cheese ratio but nothing I'd come back for. The only pro to this place is that if you're lucky enough, you can snag a table right across the Trevi Fountain. However, Rome is so packed during summer, your view will be obstructed anyways. Save your time, money, and calories and go elsewhere.

Yelp
Loved, loved very fresh and authentic. And the owner was so nice. He even did a selfie. I told him the sandwiches are outstanding

Yelp
L'Antico Forno di Piazza Trevi deserves a solid 4 stars from me! Their Cornetto al cioccolato is simply the best croissant I've ever tasted. Being right next to the Trevi Fountains, we expected higher prices, but the quality made it well worth it. Despite the line, the wait was worthwhile, especially when we got to sit outside and enjoy the view of passing tourists. Witnessing a couple get engaged during breakfast was a heartwarming bonus. I highly recommend starting your day at this charming restaurant.

Yelp
Best place for a coffee. Service was great and servers were nice. Everything came out quick. The best part was eating and sipping with the Trevi fountain as our view. I would highly recommend this spot and go early in the morning to beat the crowd and the tourist.

Yelp
Woke up early to go to the fountain and went into this place to get a croissant because I heard it was good. When I tell you this was the best croissant I have ever had I mean it. It was so light and delicious. I had to come back the next day and get another. We also got a pistachio and a cream croissant the next day and they were all excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area

Yelp
You can't get a better view of the Trevi fountain while sipping on a coffee and enjoying a pastry until you bring it directly to the steps. There are only a couple of tables so you have to either hang around and get one as a person is leaving or you won't get to sit. We got lucky and the couple left shortly after we arrived. The coffee and croissant was delicious! I wish I could go there every morning

Yelp
This is a great market located close to Trevi Fountain. The store opened in 1939. I bought some fabulous Italian cheeses, pesto, and jumbo capers from Sicily. There is also a nice selection of Italian cured-meats, salami, and pasta. Great Italian gourmet gifts.

Yelp
Very coffee spot by the trevi fountain!! For coffee and a pastry it's not too expensive for a good location and great service!!
google avatar

Yelp
A stone's throw away from Trevi Fountain, the pastries and cappuccinos were lovely which we enjoyed at a table outside. Be prepared to pay a little extra if you dine there. Loved the maritozzo!
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
The worst service. The waiter was rude and ignorant. We waited 15 minutes for 2 cappuccinos and the waiter came out and said we owe $10 euros for sitting down. We explained we ordered and he said he didn't care that we still owe the money.

Yelp
Perfect little espresso bar next to the Fountain. Stop in for a sandwich or cafe after you visit the fountain to rest. Plenty of options.

Yelp
After some shopping along Via del Corso and around the Trevi Fountain, we sat down at L'Antico for a super late lunch. After not sleeping at all on an overnight flight, we also needed some coffee! Since it was such a hot day, we didn't want hot coffee. The water at L'Antico was able to accommodate our weird tourist tastes and ice our café lattes, which I know isn't really the authentic way to drink coffee in Italy. We also ordered panini's with prosciutto and provolone cheese - super tasty and a good snack. Service was Ok, we saw our waiter twice - when we ordered and when he delivered the food. Getting the check was a bit difficult - something I soon learned is a common thing in Europe. I paid at the counter to expedite things a bit. Quick tip: They take credit card!

Yelp
It's hard not to find a good gelato and cannoli shop in Trevi, but this is my fave-- because of the great service and tasty desserts. If you find yourself by Trevi fountain and would like a nice snack, stop by.

Yelp
L'Antico Forno is a hidden gem that is easy to pass by and miss as your focus is on the main attraction across the way which is the Trevi Fountain. One beautiful evening as I was going for a stroll appreciating the Trevi Fountain I was in the need for an espresso and a nice seat to people watch. I fortunately stumbled upon L'Antico Forno and as I was ordering a 2 Double Espressos, yes 2 as it was very long night contemplating a lot of things in my life at that moment I saw the most amazing desert....Tiramisu in a large glass bowl with a nice heavy dusting of cocoa powder on top with a restaurant gold branded dark chocolate chip sitting along side a nice sweet wafer. At this point I asked myself, first do you really want to eat something sweet and second Tiramisu is Tiramisu right..nope I was absolutely wong! This was hands down 'THE BEST' no doubt about it 'THE BEST' Tiramisu I've ever had. What made things just perfect is that the 2 Double Espressos I order were two of the best I've had and nothing beats having good espressos and 'THE BEST' Tiramisu while sitting on a patio table listening to the water fall from the Trevi Fountain. Great ambiance, 'THE BEST' Tiramisu and a beautiful starry sky evening in front of the Trevi Fountain. What more can you ask for except for somebody special to share it with. Saluti!

Yelp
next to trevi fountain...early morning stroll during empty hours..stop for coffee and pastry...custard filled croissant 1,50€...understanding double price system...much cheaper to stand at the bar...higher price of 3€ for caffe americano and 4€ caffe latte...finding coffee here the favorite so far...smooth and flavorful cup of americano and latte...enjoying quiet view of trevi fountain in the morning...italians slow to waking up...

Yelp
This place is Amazing it's literally right by the trevi Their food ,breads, pastries, pizza, olives, sun dried tomato's,cheese ,meats, everything was delicious my fave dessert was the lobster tail can't stop dreaming about it everyone in here is super friendly it's such an amazing little gem in the allies of Rome can't wait to come back here

Yelp
Came here for breakfast due to good yelp score. Service was unfriendly, pastries were soggy and worst of all - the freshly squeezed orange juice was very obviously watered down. Cappuccino was good but really, with so many better options, I'd avoid.

Yelp
Market shop with a cafe and bakery. This store is located a few steps away from the Trevi Fountain and was open late. I found a tin of amaretti cookies and a variety pack of Kinder chocolate bars. They had a bakery in the back with yummy looking pastries, bags of fresh pasta, a huge selection of packaged sweets, bottled beverages, bottles of wine and absinthe.

Yelp
We got 2 sandiwches/pannini's for a total of 4.60 Euro at the Deli section of the store. Really cheap for lunch if you ask me and tons of locals and tourists go to this shop. They are very friendly and even take credit card. They also sell a European to US (3 prong) adapter for laptops if you need it. They eat their panini's cold, which in the states, we usually eat ours toasted/heated. I got used to it. I would definitely come here again. Had their caffe espresso and caffe macchiato at their sit down location just next door to their deli shop. Great place to sit on the side of the street and just to people watch and to watch the street vendors trying to sell their "gooey/gel" toy. Their espresso was VERY strong and bitter. I like mine to be a little sweeter so I added a whole pack of sugar into it. The macchiato was nice and creamy.

Yelp
Great little sandwich shop, market, and café right by the Trevi Fountain. After a week of pizza and pasta, my wife and I were craving something simple, quick and reminiscent of home. In a country that give the world some of its best deli meats and cheeses, you would think a good sandwich shop would be easy enough to find. Alas that isn't the case in Italy were antipasto and white pizza largely fill this niche. Luckily Yelp come to the rescue with this hidden gem. My wife and I got 2 sandwiches and a liter and a half of water for 5,60 Euro. What a bargin! The sandwiches were fresh and tasty, with high quality Italian meats and cheeses. If you're hoping for the second coming of the Earl of Sandwich look elsewhere but if you want a good quality sandwich or coffee with a spectacular view, this is the place!

Yelp
Great place to have a drink before seeing the trevi fountain at night

Ana G.

Yelp
This place is both a cafe and a grocery store. We didn't eat here, but we bought a lot of liquor. It's a great place to get cute bottles of limoncello for cheap! Everything is very reasonably priced and good quality. Can't beat €4 bottles Italian wine!!

Gladys S.

Yelp
awesome selection of sandwiches and homemade pasta . incredible selection of gelato and ices. enjoyed an excellent lunch .

Yelp
Excellent coffee shop next to Trevi fountain. They have some outside seating but they get filled real fast.
