Lao Hostel

Place is not the same as the photos. No pool, lots of mosquitoes. Very warm, we had a bottle of wine stolen from the fridge while there.

Room is dark and run down. Lots of mosquitoes on property, which has seen better days. Breakfast is basic. Near bus terminal, and not too far to walk to restaurants. There is no sign outside because hostel has no operating licence. Maxi the manager is friendly.

We planned to stay for a few nights and extended to 12 nights, with a plan to return again. The hostel feels like home; we met great people here and the dogs stole my heart. Super comfy beds, clean, great location, and Mariana and Mike are so welcoming, helpful, and felt like friends from the start. They provided plenty of local recommendations and help with anything you need. Would always recommend this place to friends. Thanks again to all the staff, nos vemos!

This hostel is a great place I beautiful Mendoza. We arrived by bicycle here and was welcomed by a great atmosphere and the nicest dogs we have met🐕🐶 Mike and Mariana makes the place a great place to find rest and have tips for everything in town. The garden and BBQ is perfect. We could have stayed here forever.

+ friendly owner + cheap + clean kitchen - nobody speaks English - The bathrooms were very dirty. Not cleaned once in 4 days. - The garden could be used much nicer. No furniture to chill - it’s not the hostel which is described in the lonely planet (I think the owner changed)

Amazing hostel with a guest house feel in a quiet area of Mendoza. Mike, the owner was super friendly, helpful and flexible which made our stay very smooth and enjoyable. It's easy to meet people if you want to and activities get suggested and organised amongst guests so you can discover Mendoza and it's region. The two dogs Naomi and Sunny are incredibly cute, we'll miss them...

Unfortunately it was not a good stay. The room was not very comfortable as the street was very loud. Cooking facilities were good and Juan was very kind. The rooms need to be updated majorly!

We had the best experience here, the team make a big effort to create a social environment for everyone to meet together and they cooked an incredible asado one night! Also only 10 mins walk into town centre and opposite bus stops for main routes. The true highlight has to be the hostel dogs Naomi and Sunny who we took out for the day to the park! Highly recommend staying here!
