Lao Orchid Hotel ໂຮງແຮມລາວອໍຄິດ

I was on a business trip to Laos. I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The stay was pleasant. Location is the best in my view. It's close to the riverside and the night market. The rooms are clean and neat and spacious enough. Every room has a balcony that gives a good road-side view. Staff are very pleasant. They have the regular continental vegetarian options for breakfast such as bread, butter, veggies, beans, microgreens, etc. The only flip side was that the restaurant doesn't serve dinner. Opposite to the hotel there is a Buddhist temple. As a South Indian, I found a restaurant just 100 m away that served dosa and other stuff we eat every day almost. Nearly at around 600 m distance, I found a vegan cafe called 'Coco & Co' that serves extraordinarily good vegan food with a nice ambience. A vegetarian heart was pleased with the facilities around this hotel.

Great hotel. We stayed on the fifth floor street side. Great room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Close to many excellent restaurants. A shout out to 525 a restaurant we heartily recommend. We would easily stay here again.

Very good hotel near the center of all the activities. Restaurants, night market, many buddhist temples all walkable. Very close to Mekong river. Good rooms, clean and neat! Excellent service, good veg/vegan breakfast options. Highly recommended

This hotel ticked all the boxes for me. Well located, lovely clean rooms which are spacious and excellent staff. Beautifull woooden floors and great bed linen and towels. The hotel is located very close to the night market and close to many cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was a standout for me with fresh fruit, omletes made to order and good coffee. Coffee is from a machine but is totally acceptable. Priced around $90 per night it is in the higher price range for Laos but well worth the cost. A paid courtesy bus is vailable which is a little more expensive than a txi but well worth it for airport transfers. I recommend this hotel.

clean rooms, great location, staff speak good English. plenty of restaurants nearby, only issues is the floors in the rooms are polished wood and become quite slippery when wearing socks.

This is an excellent hotel. We were warmly greeted with a welcome drink. The rooms is wonderful with a free minibar (sodas). The included breakfast is very good with a wide selection including croissants, omelettes, cooked vegetables, cereal, fresh fruit, French bread, cheese, etc. and an espresso machine which makes espresso, cappuccino, ristretto, americano, etc. The hotel is a five minute walk from the Mekong River and night market. Restaurants and massage are on the same street. | We are staying here now and wish we could stay another day!

I've stayed here before and will definitely be back again. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and spacious. Everything is in walking distance, close to the night markets. The bed is comfortable. They give 2 bottles of water in your room Free hot breakfast, good variety
