Lao Orchid Hotel

I've stayed here before and will definitely be back again. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and spacious. Everything is in walking distance, close to the night markets. The bed is comfortable. They give 2 bottles of water in your room Free hot breakfast, good variety

From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and lovely. After a disastrous journey from Bangkok, they arranged to let us check in early and knowing it was my Birthday they organised a cake with candles too! Above all the room and the bed were comfy. It’s not a 5star hotel but it’s clean, comfy and great service. What more do you need.

Very well located hotel. Great breakfast and ideally located close to the night market. We stayed here on two occasions and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We had a very comfortable stay at the well-located Orchid Hotel and were impressed by how clean the housekeeping staff kept our rooms. The ac, shower, and wifi all worked well and our bed was very comfortable. Our suite was spacious with a balcony that we could watch both the night market and the sunrise from. The large open air balcony the bkfst buffet was served on had flowering plants and a view of the neighboring temple, as well as good coffee and a nice selection of international choices. The friendly waiters worked hard to keep guests happy and we were very happy with their service. We especially appreciated the kind help we received from Mr. Lee at the front desk who helped us multiple times with directions and giving advice. Thank you for a great introduction to Vientiane!

Good room. Wooden floor clean and shine. If you take off shoe, wear socks, the wooden floor may be slippery sometimes as it very clean :-)

The good parts were the air conditioner and the breakfast. Our room cooled down to a comfortable temperature at night. The breakfast had a wider assortment then most hotels we have stayed in the region. The not so good was there is no restaurant for dinner and the bar closes early. We went in around 7 and they had locked everything up except the beer. Unfortunately we can’t drink beer. There are only basic drinks like rum and coke but no cocktails when the bar is open. The shower has a really gentle flow which wasn’t as great as a normal shower. The rooms are nice, but my friend found the mattress way to hard

We stayed here for two nights to visit the capital of Laos and it was a nice choice. We had a pleasant room and nice view to the night market and Mekong river as it was literally across the road! ||The room was nice however on the first night the hot water didn’t work and we couldn’t have a shower. We called reception and they said they would sort it out for us in the morning but we were not happy with that because we wanted to get it sorted out ahead of the trip we planned the next day. Anyway, it was sorted out that night after we asked them twice and the room they gave us was fine. ||Breakfast was good with a nice selection to choose from and it’s located outside on the terrace. It was very hot when we visited so sitting outside was a little worrying however the temperature is much cooler in the morning so it was actually rather nice!

We stayed here the last two nights of our 2-week stay in Laos. We were on the fourth floor and had a lovely view of the Night Market and Mekong River from our spacious balcony. Despite the hustle below us, the room was quiet. The breakfast had ample fresh choices and the staff opened it early for us since we had an early flight. In every instance, the staff bent over backward to help us. The hotel is located in an area with coffee shops, restaurants, and tourist shops and galleries.
