Lapida Garden Hotel

A great place where you get what you pay for. The staff and hotel owner were kind and friendly. I was only planning to stay there for accommodation purposes while I was sorting out my dealings. Breakfast options are very varied. (But egg dishes were cold) I also enjoyed the swimming pool.

The hotel is a bit tired but there is improvement being made over the winter period. There is a gem in this hotel and that is the owner who couldn't do enough for us, and her cooking is exceptional as she uses every fruit that is grown in the garden surrounding the hotel particularly for jam's and marmalade ect.. We will visit again next year.

Never again! The room was dirty with rather suspicious stains on the blankets, yellow and orange stains. An unpleasant smell that also made the sheets, blankets and cushions smell. There was also a hair on the blanket. Even when I changed the blanket, I slept without it. I prefer not to talk about the bathroom and breakfast doesn't appeal to me. Don't make this mistake!

I stayed at the Lapida Gardens for a week over Christmas on a walking holiday with Solos. There were 13 of us on our group and a few other guests on other days.||The hotel itself is a little quirky and the family have a very large collection of antiques which are on display throughout the hotel. The gardens and pool area are lovely although as we were staying in December we did not use them much!||My room was on the first floor with a balcony. It was a good size and the bed very comfy. The decoration is quite basic and the shower was functional. ||The restaurant and bar area was spacious and we had a large table our whole group good sit around. There was also a large log fire with sofas around it which we definitely needed in the evenings!||Breakfast was buffet style with a selection of hot and cold dishes. These were tasty enough but could maybe have been a bit more variety on the hot dishes. We had dinner each evening which was tasty home cooked food. Again maybe a bit more variety as each dish was served with rice, potatoes, and salad.||The staff were very friendly and helpful.||This is a small family run hotel so does not have the mod cons of a larger hotel, bit it does have friendly staff and bags of personality.

We had an extended stay at Lapida Gardens as we were travelling for 5 weeks. The staff made us feel very welcomed straight away and were very attentive throughout our stay. |The breakfast was included with our stay and had a full continental choice of food every morning which we enjoyed. The room was perfect for what we needed; it was comfortable, clean and was equipped with a mini fridge and balcony with views of the sea and the mountains. |The location was great for local restaurants / bars and the price we paid was outstanding for the service we received during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely like to stay again in the future!

A way from the busy highway, this little gem of a hotel was a great find. The communtal areas are full for amazing antiques, photograps and books, but the rooms were very clean and modern, great hot water.|Staff were pleasant and fascinating people very happy to tell stories of the island and their familes' past.|There is a beautiful fruit garden at the back and collection your own fruit is welcomed, the loquats were the best I have ever tried! |It is not a long walk from the sea and restaurants and bars, there is no nois at all at nighttime. I would love to spend more time there one day.

I definitely would not rate this place higher than 3 stars. The room is comfortable, and the few staff were helpful. The hotel is not near the beach, and it’s not safe to walk along the road. You need a car. There is one market not far from the hotel. There are several restaurants within a few kilometers. The hotel is like a museum. There are so many antiques and a lot of dust. The WiFi is very slow, and the water pressure is weak, especially if other people are taking showers. It wasn’t worth the price.

We had a lovely stay in this peaceful, quirky hotel. The pool is really nice and the garden is gorgeous. Views are fabulous too. Fethi, Marry, Hakan and their team are all really friendly and welcoming. It's a real haven from everything and we really hope to return!
