Second time in as many years! The hotel is one of the better options and is still presented well. ||Sadly for us, it rained for 10 minutes on the first night then the temperature dropped so all the snow turned to ice, which made getting around interesting….. Even the seasoned local drivers were struggling! No one’s fault but it did make us think the town has a limited plan B when a lot of the excursions had to be cancelled! Anyway, we filled the gaps by renting ski equipment as they have snow machines which was a great day!||Back to the hotel, they’ve taken on board feedback and enhanced the food choice for children, which was nice to see! The soups were outstanding (onion, mushroom and a vegetable variant). The food on the whole was great! One issue though, still no ice cream 🤷🏽‍♂️.||We did have an issue on a lunch order which couldn’t get resolved so I just walked away in the end…. We ordered meals which all had a side of chips which were inedible as there was way too much salt. I fed this back and they said they’d replace them, but nothing arrived. Then when we finished the rest of the food I asked for a refund for the chips but just 6 euro was given…. They said the other portions were free which I didn’t really understand but decided to chalk it off to experience.||Being part of Tui you are made to feel second class (have to vacate the restaurant by 19:30 and they won’t offer table tabs for drinks as examples) but we knew what to expect.||The daily lift pass down to the town is great and we were allowed to check in early this year 👍👍👍 (as we have our own kit we got an Uber from the airport to avoid the hour(s) wait at the clothing depot).

A place where you simply feel at home. We booked a deluxe room with sauna and we're very happy with the decision. The room was cozy, the sauna worked like a charm, everything was clean and nicely designed. The staff was lovely but on occasion you do have to wait at the bar or the reception when there is more to do. The hotel is slightly out of the city but you can easily walk to Rovaniemi in 45 minutes in a winter hiking trail that is lit at night. There is a bus service to Santa Claus Village right from the hotel. All in all totally recommend!

While the twin room was fine, there was an issue with the single room as it was not the correct one. We had to return to the front desk, where, after some back-and-forth with an employee (a Colombian lady), we were finally assigned the correct room. Unfortunately, this process required hauling our luggage around the hotel, which was inconvenient. Additionally, we encountered repeated issues with the key cards. My key card needed renewal once, the single room's card failed four times, and the premium room's card failed once. This caused frustration, particularly after long days when all we wanted was to relax. On one occasion, we had to rely on a room service staff member to help us access our room after multiple failed attempts at obtaining a new key card from the front desk. Despite these inconveniences, the rooms were very clean, and the majority of the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The indoor restaurant was excellent, offering carefully prepared cuisine that was both delicious and of high quality. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its service and dining experience, though improvements to key card functionality and front desk communication are needed.

Great hotel with the location outside the town and in the forest as we wanted. We had a good stay. The entrance hall is somewhat cold in winter as the front doors allow the cold to get in. The service overall was good, although the reception guest had an associate from Colombia that was not quite up to par, giving inaccurate information at checkin, not knowing how to program keys correctly and assigning incorrect rooms. The manager however quickly fixed it. The breakfast and dinner was excellent. The rooms nice. The sauna a little small.

Our experience here was good! Front desk was helpful, in room sauna was devine. Its in the bathroom and takes time to warm up, but once it's going its really warm. ||Having the restaurant inside the hotel was SO helpful, but definitely make a reservation in advance. ||The room was quite small, and there is no elevator in the hotel so we had to carry our bags up one (large ish) staircase. There were no bellman or staff to help with this. ||Over the holidays (between xmas and nye), the prices were outrageous compared to other times of year, and I don't think that was worthwhile. ||Everything else about the hotel was not remarkable. It seems like the benefit of staying here is if you are planning to ski (there is great access to a mountain) and we didnt ski, so we likely should have picked a different hotel.

Quite setting in the Forrest away from city, very calm relaxing atmosphere. Great restaurant on site, with wonderful breakfast each morning. Northern lights were visible from rooftop viewing area as well as from second floor room window. The 360 view from roof top also allows you to see for miles. The in room sauna was the best. Only thing I would want to add is luggage elevator. Staff was very accommodating in getting luggage to and from rooms. Great stay!

Amazing location we were able to see the northern lights in the parking lot however it was very dim and didn’t stand out like the photos but we were happing seeing them. Nice cottage style room very cozy. Good buffet breakfast definitely worth getting the package.

Lovely cosy hotel with a nice open plan entrance/reception area, free parking, ski in/ski out and a good night's sleep. We especially liked the restaurant with good forest views and the breakfast was amazing. If you're in the Lapland region, do not miss this restaurant. I booked this restaurant for an anniversary dinner through a travel company so our menu was already set. To start, we had a carrot soup and reindeer tartare (which I promise is much better than it sounds when you think about possibly eating Rudolph). Both options were delicious and if we could have licked the plate, we would have. Our server also brought out complimentary sparkling blueberry wine and homemade bread. The bread is out of this world and was gone from our table in a matter of minutes. Our entree' was a seared cod with cauliflower mash which was even better than the starters, if that's even possible. Our dessert was a blueberry gelato with merengue. Now, the food was incredible but the location is what just puts this place over the edge. Located a little outside of the city center, this restaurant can be incredible for catching a glimpse of the northern lights. Following our wonderful candlelit dinner, we made our way up to the hotel roof where you can see all of Rovaniemi and hope that the lights will come out. Though it was cloudy when we first went up, the clouds cleared up and we got the most incredible show of lights. The staff brought us hot blueberry juice in traditional Finnish wooden mugs so that we could enjoy it while we sat upstairs enjoying the lights. (Bonus, we got to keep the cups!) As soon as the lights were covered back up by clouds, magic happened and snow started to fall. You may not get this same experience considering it's all up to the weather. But if you're in this region, you're doing yourself a disservice by not visiting. I will happily be back as soon as I can just for the food!
